Marinette was having her regular Juice Day with her friend from their home. With her parents away for some convention in London, they left Marinette alone to keep the store and home from collecting too much sitting dust. Marinette had decided not to come along for many reasons, her Ladybug duties not the least of the reason.
She was fairly observant about many things, she had to be as Ladybug, so she noticed how tense Kagami seemed to be right now. Which was very uncharacteristic of the girl. She was usually very cool and calculating. But for once she seemed just the slightest bit nervous. Though she was hiding it well. If Marinette hadn't known her as well as she did she would have missed it completely.
"Are you Ok Kagami?" Marinette asked, her voice and body full of concern for her friend as she tried to think of how best to get away if she needed to suit up if this was an akumatization in the making.
