May wasn't sure what to do at this point. She couldn't get a good view of where the sun was but she figured that it was starting to set by now. To top it off, aside from the few snacks she stashed in her back before leaving Mauville City, the brunette was getting a bit hungry. Her initial plan was to spend a night in the Pokemon Center once nightfall would arrive but thanks for May's curiosity it would seem that she was doomed to camp out in a thick, unfamiliar part of the wilderness.
"Aw man, why did I have to chase that Roselia?" the brunette would groan, drawing circles in the dirt with her gloved finger. She would reach into her bag to pull out her PokeNav. Calling for help was pointless as she had a poor signal but she saw the time on it and knew that she was in the evening hours. "Guess I got no choice to spend the night here," she sighed.
As May would take the few seconds to comprehend her situation in silence she heard what sounded like footsteps rustling through the grass. That sound was enough to make the brunette stand straight back up, looking around as she held her bag defensively. Who was there? Was it a person? A Pokemon? Her question was immediately answered with the sound of a simple voice.
It would sound like a moment of relief for May but for some reason a chill shuddered down her spine, making the girl take a step back. After gazing around she noticed what looked like a shadowy figure approaching her. May couldn't make it out but she swore that it looked a little feminine. She was about to answer when the sight of the person's smile made her freeze, unable to utter out a single syllable. Her knees would shake a bit as the girl tried to find the courage to at least give out a simple word or two.
"K...Kinda," she answered softly, taking a step back instinctively. May knew that this person had good intentions but thanks to the fog and cold weather this situation was bringing more fear than comfort at the moment.
