Missandei smirked as Margaery gagged Cersei quickly and most effectively. All that could be heard from the enraged former queen and queen mother was her enraged but muffled and completely unintelligible ranting.
“Her Grace did well to choose you, my Lady Hand,” Missandei said, giving Margaery a gracious nod.
Sansa meanwhile stood and watched from her place among Dany’s entourage. She quickly took hold of Margaery’s hand once again when the new Hand of the Queen returned to her side.
“Indeed, very nicely done,” Sansa concurred with a small smile. She was growing a little weary of the spectacle… having been confined to the Keep for so long she was unaccustomed to such a boisterous setting.
Nevertheless she felt genuine satisfaction and vindication seeing Joffrey and Cersei punished thusly… for herself and also for the populace of King’s Landing. They’d deserved better, and Sansa was quite certain they were finally in good hands with Daenerys on the Iron.
“I truly must write to Robb at once,” Sansa said. “I think I shall spare him certain details but I’ll be overjoyed to inform him I am well and the Lannisters are being brought to justice. Perhaps I’ll inform my uncles in the Riverlands as well,” she added.
