RWBY - Neopolitan’s Babyish Ascension

Ascension was certainly a rather strange experience, it was odd to think this was what Ruby Rose had experienced less than minutes prior. The feeling of weightlessness and odd sensations tingling throughout her body baffled Neopolitan, it was like nothing she had ever experienced, and understandably so, of course.

Having her very being and body manipulated by the mysterious, enigmatic Blacksmith was of course a nerve-wracking experience, that was for certain. However, the mute couldn’t help but panic slightly when the strange woman’s voice echoed through the strange sub-dimension her ascension seemed to be taking place in.

“I’m afraid I miscalculated, little one. The Everafter doesn’t accept one’s from your world the way I thought it would, the longer you stay here, the more dangerous it will be.” She explained, regarding the formless mass that was Neo in that moment empathetically.

Before the pint-sized thief could question what on Remnant that meant, and what the Blacksmith was referring to, she spoke again. “For one as complex as yourself, ascension would normally be a rather longwinded process, especially with such dramatic changes needing to be made. But I’m afraid we have no such time. But worry not, I should be more than capable of handling your new form myself, ensuring you undergo the changes you need before you return to Remnant.”

Once again, the thief’s heart (did she have a heart in her current state) felt like it was racing, panicking internally, yet unable to process as a strange, tingling sensation that took over her, letting out a silent gasp. Although just as abruptly as it had started, the sensation soon ended, with Neo feeling like herself again, yet held still as she could only stare up at the Blacksmith in awe.

“That should work perfectly… You are rather cute in this form, I’m certainly disappointed I won’t be able to work on you further. I can only hope the one I’ve deferred this task to in your own world will take the job seriously…”

As if she wasn’t confused enough already, Neo could only squirm and struggle slightly at that, only to gasp as her vision turned white… Before she knew it, she emerged from the wooden cocoon she had been attached to, just as quickly begging to fall downwards with a shriek of surprise…

The odd experience didn’t end yet though, as a seemingly magical gust of wind blew the mute right into the portal Team RWBY had entered just moments prior, sending her hurtling back into Remnant before she could even react, thankfully having no issues flying through the portal this time…

With a yelp, the illusionist collapsed onto the ground, blinking in confusion as her eyes adjusted to the light. Oddly enough feeling rather cold… Aside from around her waist.

She slowly began to adjust her eyes to the light, struggling to rise from the ground, feeling oddly weak.

What on Remnant had that blacksmith done to her?
