The moon shines down on the Camila household. It had been just over a week since the dramatic and emotional arrival of Luz Noceda and her four friends, Willow, Gus, Hunter, and of course her girlfriend Amity. While there were some mixed feelings all around both with their situation and of course the events that lead up to their arrival, for the most part the teenagers had settled in and were enjoying the human world. However, there was one person having a bit of trouble, namely the Basilisk Vee.

Now that isn't to say she was upset that Luz had returned. In fact, she had quickly bonded with the girl who's appearance she had borrowed to find her new home. A part of her had been nervous that Luz would be angry with her for the "identity theft". Luz had quickly swept this away, embracing Vee not only as a friend but essentially her adopted sister. Her friends had been equally accepting, and overall Vee was delighted to belong to such a large group of friends, but there is one part of the new arrangement that she was less thrilled about. Namely the fact that she was currently sitting in some soaked bed sheets, and now there was a sleeping human and two sleeping witches between her and the washing machine she could use to clean up before morning when everyone could find out...

Vee sighs as she proceeds to slip off her sheets and creep down the top bunk as quietly as she can, morphing back into her true basilisk form, which helped her move extra quietly. After all this wasn't the first time she'd snuck by her "new sister" and roommates. Vee had been wetting her bed just about every night since she moved in and always made sure to clean up before morning so Camila wouldn't find out. It had been challenging the first few nights, but now she felt confident in her ability to get in and out without being heard.

Luz was having trouble sleeping for a while since she got back to her home, so when she woke up that night with the intention to get a glass of water in the hopes it would help her get to sleep, she noticed Vee was also awake. "Hey, Vee. Are you okay?" Luz asked. Because the lights were still off, she couldn't see the state of Vee's attire and bed, much less how embarrassed she was.

Vee's eyes widen as she hears Luz's voice behind her. "Luz?" She spins around in surprise, but as she does so her tail gets tangled in the wet sheets, causing her to spill out in front of Luz her pajamas and sheets spread wide.

Luz ran over to make sure Vee was alright, and gasped at the state of her sheets. "Are you alright? Here, I can help you with that."

"No don't look," Vee pulled her sheets into her chest, tears starting to streak down her face. "Why did this have to happen? Everything was going so well. Now you know about my problem...and soon Camila will find out and she'll want me to leave..." Vee breaks down sobbing.

"What problem? You mean the sheets?" Luz asked as she comforted Vee. "Look, this is something you can't control, but we can help you. A lot of people struggle with this, even me at one point." She explained where stroking Vee's hair in an attempt to calm her down.

"You don't understand," Vee sniffles, while reflexively leaning more into Luz. "This happens every night and has ever since I came to live here. Sometimes I even wet myself during the day. I've been able to hide it from Camila until now, because there's no way she'll want me to stay here if she knows that I have no control. She has enough problems already." Vee continues to sob, leaning against Luz.

"Come on, this is a thing mothers do with their kids, help them out when this happens." Luz said. "Does my mom really sound like the kind of person to kick you out, after everything she's done for you?

"I...I guess not," Vee sniffles, wiping her eyes and holding onto Luz tighter. She felt a surge of relief just having the girl hold her. However, this calming had an unfortunate side effect as she felt a small warmth spreading onto Luz's lap. Not as much as was on her sheets...but enough that her eyes widen and she starts looking like she's about to cry again.

Luz wasn't upset, and only embraced Vee more in an attempt to help her feel better.
