Baby Yokozuna (private w/Felix0409)

Mato Yoshikawa was one of the most world renowned hippo rikishi in all of Japan. He had won many matches and championships, earning him the Yokozuna title. However, an in-ring accident had forced him into early retirement. He still made an honest living as an instructor to many young pupils, but he needed something else in his life. He wanted a true successor for his skills. Most of all, he wanted someone he could give his love too. He walked down a road in Okinawa towards an orphanage, he was going to adopt a child.

One of the longest inhabitants of the orphanage was Bryson Prowl, a 3 year old cheetah who had been there almost since birth, being left at the orphanage’s door step as a baby. He never knew what a parent’s love was but today would be his lucky day!

After meeting with the owner of the orphanage, Mato gained an interview with each of the children there. None of them seemed to catch the hippo's eye. The owner then called in Bryson, "Bryson, Yoshikawa-san is ready to meet you now." they said while bringing the cheetah into the room where Mato was sat.

Giving his best smile as he had for the other kids, he greeted him warmly with a bow, "Bryson? Pleasure to meet you."

Bryson smiled brightly, “H-hi Mr.Yoshikawa!” He chimed, slowing down on the hippo’s name as to not mess it up. He sat down across the hippo and looked at him, wonder and excitement flowing from his body.

"The owner tells me you have a very bright imagination. Tell me, what do you wish to be when you grow up?" he asks.

Bryson blushed a little as when he talked about his dream, the other kids would laugh, “I-I wanna be a sumo wrestler…” He admitted shyly.

[Mr Hoo]

This came as a surprise to Mato. This child was admittedly very skinny. However, he was not quick to judge, "I think that is a great dream. I was once a rikishi myself." he told him.

Bryson’s eyes lit up, “R-really?! Wow you’re so cool!” He exclaimed with pure, child like excitement.

[Mr Hoo]

Mato smiled at his excitement, "That's right. I was even a Yokozuna. Now I spend my time training the next generation of rikishi. Now tell me this, what are three qualities that you believe all rikishi must have?"

Felix sat and thought, “Well… they gotta be big! But nice… and super strong!” He said as he held up his arms to make himself look strong.
