Penny sighed as she opened the dryer in her apartment's laundry room, pulling out and starting to fold her clothes. It had been a long day, she though to herself. A crazy lunch shift at the Cheesecake Factory, plus a huge party had totally stiffed her on a tip! She really hoped she had some wine somewhere, she though as she set aside a flowery skirt, pulled a pair of cute panties from the dryer, and then deposited them into her laundry basket. It had been the kind of day where she really needed a drink...

Matt, a fairly recent tenant of the building, standing at 6'1, with short dirty-blonde hair, and blue and green hazel eyes. He wore a simple orange shirt and blue jeans as he walked down to the laundry room with a basket of his own laundry, and an entire jug of detergent.

As he came in he saw a beautiful woman pulling her things from one of the dryers so he got set up at one of the washers and began to put his clothes in. "Man that elevator needs to be fixed one of these days huh?" he suggests, trying to strike up conversation.

(Make it to where she needs help with laundry, like she has one more load and an empty bottle/bag of detergent stuff)

Penny laughs a bit as she finishes getting her clothes out of the dryer. "Yeah...that'll never happen." She sighs, looking at her two laundry baskets. "One day," she mumbles to herself, "I'll find a way to do this in one trip..."

She struggles with the laundry baskets for a moment, clearly having trouble trying to carry them both.

Matt finishes loading his stuff and gets it started as he turns to hear the grunting and struggling of the girl. "Um may I help you with your stuff?" he asks watching her from his position. He didn't want to over step and help immediately and risk insulting the woman, but he also wasn't going to just stand there and watch her drop her laundry.

Penny glances over at him. "Oh, that's sweet of you. Thanks." She grabs one basket of laundry and holds it out to him. "I hope you don't mind the stairs...I live up on the fourth floor."

He smiles and takes the basket while standing by the girl. "Not a problem, it's just a basket, and I live on the third floor anyway, so one more won't kill me" he says then walks alongside her up the stairs as magically no one else needed to come down the stairs. "My name is Matt by the way" he introduces.

Penny smiles at Matt as they start up the stairs. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Matt. I really appreciate your help with this...trying to drag two baskets up the stairs is the last thing I needed with the day I've had."

She sighs heavily as they continue up the stairs. "Oh, and I'm Penny."

Penny shrugs a little bit. "Oh, you know, it's nothing..." She sighs heavily again, her smile faltering a bit. "Well...I just had a really bad day at work...plus, I've been in the area so long...and have barely found any kind of acting job..."

"Oh you're an actress? That sounds cool, but I'm sorry about your bad day at work. What do you do for work? I mean if you can't find any acting jobs that is" he asks as they get to the third floor and he points at the first door on the right (being the one under penny's). "That's my place there" he comments.
