James sighed in relief. "Yeah, you go do that window," he said. He shook his head. He couldn't believe he was talking to a fucking robot.

Lo an behold, a brown Deinonychus approached him. "You the new janitor?" she asked.

"In a way," he said as he emptied yet another trash can. "What's the problem."

"Well, I heard about your previous background and it turns out that one of our labs in the basement had a little problem with the small scale diaper manufacturing machine."

James shrugged as he put a new liner in the trash can he had just emptied. From the Dein's tone, it didn't seem like too big a problem. Hopefully it was something quick. That and he could use a change of scenery. He then followed the Dein to the elevator banks.

Of course, things never turned out quite so easy.

Back at home, Za'kar was having to deal with his own little troubles. It was nothing too bad, but there had been an alert on the television and he was curious. Despite the fact that he was a little tired due to last night's work load, he was still willing to stay awake a little longer.

"This just in: The local government has decided to impose a form of martial law on the lower districts. Due to crime from the population over there spreading to the higher class areas, there is now going to be a few new laws set in place. For details, look into your mail and take a quick glance. The more important rules are in red. If you are homeless, be sure to find a shelter, or some form of shelter, at night."

The Velociraptor frowned at the sound of that. Well, it seemed like not only was their rent increasing, but also that they were going to have a rougher time getting things done at night. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too bad, as the Velociraptor didn't exactly want himself stuck out there on the streets. Especially given his small size, and looks, because people seemed over all attracted to him for that, for some reason.

Turning off the television, he sat there for a moment, thinking things through. One thought that kept coming to mind was just how he was going to explain this stuff to James. It didn't sound like too easy of a task, given how this would no doubt anger the human, especially since both the rent increase, and the seemingly martial law, would both basically be hitting his wallet. He knew James really liked his money after all.

However, the Mesozoican was a little too tired to dwell on it for too long without nearly drifting off to sleep as he sat on the couch. Deciding that he would try to wake around when James got home in order to break the news to him.

James reminded himself to ream out the Dein who told him there was a "little problem" with the small scale diaper manufacturing machine. Thanks no doubt to some idiot technician, there was paper fluff and hot glue all over the floor. The machine itself was undamaged but it would require some good cleaning.

The Human swore profusely as he got a scraper ready to peel off the dried glue and paper mixture that was currently coating the floor. At least it wasn't synthesizer for the absorbant crystals that had leaked. He could count on that for some solace as he began the tedious work of scraping the concrete floors clean.

As he was scrubbing the floors clean, he would eventually find himself once more being approached by that fancy little robot from earlier. Rolling down stairs and over obstacles with seemingly no problem. No doubt due to the design of its wheel.

It had asked James, "Do you desire assistance with the present task?"

James sighed. "Yes. You can scrape this shit off the floor."

He then reached inside the tool cart and grabbed some smaller scrapers and pliers. He unplugged the machine and opened an access panel. He sighed as he realized the paper was completely folded in on itself and had been shredded by the rollers.

"How does someone fuck up something this bad?" he asked no one in particular as he began to disassemble the feed mechanism.

Apparently, this robot had a sense of humor. James would find this out when it gave him an answer to his probably rhetorical question. "It is likely due to them being inept in several ways. Or, as I find the term that is more commonly used by locals: Retarded."

Well, that was lovely. After its little comment, it would continue scraping things off of the floor it had already started on when it rolled in there.

James sighed as he continued pulling pieces of shredded paper from the machine. Great, he thought. The robot assistant I got is also a smartass.

As he continued carefully pulling bits of paper out of the innards of the machine, he noticed that someone had managed to drop a screwdriver into the paper feed. He pulled out the item and tossed it aside.

While he did his work, the Human's mind began to wonder. What was Za'kar doing while he was doing grunt work? Was the little raptor: Sleeping? Selling poof or other illicit items? Crapping/rubbing one out in a diaper? Something else?

Sadly, he would never know what the heck the little dinosaur was doing. However, to give the faithful narrators a viewing into it, the Velociraptor would turn out to be sleeping. At the moment, he was certainly too tired from yesterday's work to stay up for too long. Truth be told, he did not care about his job at that store that was more legal. He was completely fine with potentially being fired from it...

James backed out of the machine's hatch. Bits of shredded paper covered his hair and clothing. He then reassembled the feed roles, put the hatch back into place and plugged it back in.

The machine's control panel beeped and all the lights blinked green and then stayed lit, confirming that everything was fixed.

He sighed and tossed a piece of shredded paper that was stuck to his shirt and threw it on the ground. "Wonder what else is next?" Other than the mess on the floor, the lab was spotless.

"Well, there is a spill off in the higher ups office. They want us to clean it because they wanted me to give you a tour of the building... That, or I may have got the information wrong and they still want me to give you a tour, but it's in a office that is higher up." Yay, Mr. Robot was forgetful!
