Crusader crash mishap. (Private with Lilluna)

"UHG!" A small orange pegasus filly groaned, leaning on her scooter. "Hurry up Sweetie Belle, we're going to be late!" she yelled, waiting outside her friend and fellow crusaders house. Rainbow Dash was Trying out some new moves today and had invited Scootaloo to come and watch. Scootaloo looked back to the house and sighed. Applebloom was out of town so she had invited Sweetie Belle to tag along, a choice she was now regretting. "She's like her sister. She takes FOREVER!" She yelled the last part, hoping Sweetie would hear her and come outside. Scootaloo looked ahead of her, she figured she had about five minutes before Rainbow started practicing.

Sweetie Belle did indeed hear the pegasus below, but as always she'd come only with a few minutes before they had to arrive. Usually it didn't take very long for her to get ready, but her sister had packed them a picnic so it took her five minutes to get out of the house. "It would help if somepony would tell me a little in advance." She said, walking out with the basket held in her mouth, covered with a blanket and an umbrella on her back. Rarity had told her no sister of her's was going to sit beneath the scorching hot sun, even though it was the perfect temperature out today. "Okay lets go Scoots." Sweetie climed in the back and strapped on her helmet and held onto the rail, ready to go.

Scootaloo rolled her eyes, her little wings starting to flap, emitting a type of buzzing. The Scooter started to roll forward as the Filly kept her eyes on the path. Usually she would be going faster right now but she would always have to slow down due to Applebloom or Sweetie Belle complaining about the speed. "Thanks to you, we're going to miss Rainbow Dash do her warm up stunts." She called back, still going at a constant speed on her scooter. Usually she would be there before Rainbow Dash had even started, eager to watch every trick and stunt her Idol preformed.

Sweetie just sighed softly they still had time to spare, Rainbow Dash was never on time for things like this, and soon Scootaloo would be speeding up even more so they would be on time. Usually her and Applebloom were the ones who had to get Scootaloo moving if they wanted to be anywhere, but as it was concerned with the rainbow maned pegasus it was a different story all together. She just hoped that Scootaloo didn't get overzealous, drift off into her mind and forget to pay attention to the path in front of them. At their speeds it could cause a rather bad end.

Scootaloo started to speed up, her mind immediately going to Rainbow Dash. She glanced back to Sweetie Belle, a smile on her face. "This is so Exciting! we get to see Rainbow Dash do awesome tricks that nopony has ever seen before! Isnt that just so awesome?" She asked, starting to not pay attention to the path. "Maybe after her Tricks, she'll teach me some more flying tricks! Then we'll get to hang out alot more and we'll be like sisters! Doesn't that sound so awesome Sweetie Belle!?" Scootaloo was smiling, still looking to Sweetie Belle. The Scooter started to pick up speed as her wings started to flap faster, causing them to rushed down the path, causing the wagon to sway back and forth.

Sweetie nodded slowly at Scootaloo's ranting, watching the rode for her to make sure they wouldn't run into anything. She was excited to see Dash's tricks but they wouldn't be able to if they got in an accident. She could feel the scooter speeding up again, getting almost as fast as her mentor's flying, only on the ground. That's when she saw it, a tree downed on the road, right in their path. "SCOOTALOO WATCH OUT!" The filly yelled as the large downed tree sped towards them, the wind in Sweetie's ears being the only thing she could process as she closed her eyes tightly and braced for the impact.

"Huh?" Scootaloo tilted her head, barley able to hear her friend over the wind. She looked back to the path, spotting the fallen tree. "OH NO!" The filly managed to get out before the scooter slammed into the tree, flinging Scootaloo off the scooter. The last thing she was able to see was the handlebars of the scooter as she flew past them. Scootaloo hit the dirt, rolling a few few before coming to a stop at the base of a tree. The Orange filly looked up, her body in pain as she tried to spot what happened to the wagon. Most of her body, her legs and what seemed to be a few ribs, were in pain, feeling like she had just been hit with a parade float. "S-Sweetie Belle?" She managed to get out. Not to surprisingly, it seemed to hurt to talk.

Sweetie felt the feeling of weightlessness first as though she were gliding on the air for a few moments, then came the sound of a sickening crack and the sound of ripping from many directions. For a few moments she felt nothing. Then came the pain, oh the sickening pain that ravaged her frame like white hot metal poured into her very being. She couldn't even hear Scootaloo or the scream she let out of pure agony that rippled through her very being. The final thing she noticed before slipping into unconsciousness was a blurring figure of both rainbow and cyan that quickly descended to come to their aid.

Dash, as always, was late but she did fly above just in time to see the two fillies hit the tree. She thought quickly and darted around, both of them on the ground, just in tome to hear the screams. Sweetie Belle wasn't moving and Scootaloo barely, she could see their bodies bent at odd angles and seeing the state of the scooter told her just what happened. She scooped Sweetie on her back first and carefully made her way over to Scootaloo, taking her by the scruff in her mouth and cringing at the coppery undertone of blood. "Oh Celestia, hang in there squirt." She said, darting as fast as she could with the two fillies towards the hospital.

Scootaloo's eyes were closed, the only thing she could do now was listen and groan in pain. The lest thing she heard was Rainbow's voice, something about hanging and Squirt. The orange filly had black out after that, all sounds cutting away. Blackness was before her, nothing else, just black. 'Am I dead?" She thought to herself. 'Is this what being dead is like? B-But I dont wanna be dead! I have so much I could still do! I was going to Rainbow Dash's little sister!' She whined. 'This is so unfair! I didn't even get to learn how to fly! Why is life so unfair!' "Scootaloo?" The filly heard a voice, this one not hers. By the sound of it, it sounded like Nurse Redheart. "Scootaloo can you hear me?" Okay maybe she wasent dead.

Sweetie Belle awoke to the sound of beeping and the feeling of nausea that always came with a pain spell. She groaned loudly and tried to sit up, only to be stopped by the strong hoof of another nurse. All she could do was turn her head and what she saw made her want to throw up. laying in the bed beside her was a bandaged Scootaloo that had dried blood caked in certain places, but what was worse were what hugged her flanks. The little pegasus was wearing a diaper; and it was wet! She gazed down to find she was the exact same way, and it terrified her. All she could remember was the trip to see Rainbow, a log then splitting pain. Though with Nurse Redheart and Dash sitting next to Scootaloo, and the rise and fall of her chest, she could at least take happiness in knowing her friend was alive.

Dash had sat with both fillies through the entire process, never leaving their sides. When she noticed Scootaloo starting to come too she was immediately by her side. She truly loved the little filly and felt as though she was the sister she never had; she couldn't bare to loose her, especially if she was on her way to see her when this happened. "Come on squirt, come back." She said, biting her lip hard. She would never admit it, but she was horrified.
