Matt drove his car up to Ella's house. He was an 18 year old guy who was lucky enough to have a job since he was 15, parents that helped him get a car, and now it was paid off on his last year of high school, and he even had his own small apartment. Being that his parents had less to pay for with him living with them, they even helped out here and there with his rent payments. He stood at 6'1 with short black hair and green eyes, and on this day he had on a green shirt and jeans as he walked up to the front door and knocked.

A birthday party for his good friend and school friend Ella would be starting soon, and he wanted to be there early with his present. It wouldn't be open till later, but being there first made things special in his mind.

A young girl was turning 17 today and she was so excited that she had gotten up extra early since she couldn't sleep that much from all the things she knew was in the works but wasn't told exactly so that it would be a surprise. With her bedroom cleaned, bed made nice and neat, and dressed for the day in a cute light blue blouse and matching skirt...she puts her long brown hair into a high ponytail and was thankful for it being a Saturday. 5 hours passed from the time she had gotten up and she heard a knock at the door.

I wonder who could that be.....Mom were you expecting anyone? Her mother wasn't paying attention at the moment due to being on the phone finishing up some party preparations..so when she didn't get a reply she opened the door seeing Matt.

Matt hugs her as well then raises an eyebrow. "Ummm........it's your birthday isn't it?" he asks while holding presents in his hands. He was very confused that Ella seemed to not be concerned whatsoever about her party, but maybe she wanted it to be a small party?

Ella let him in and knew that it was her birthday though was trying to not act all babyish in front of her mother and him. I know it is my birthday...i just won't be so childish about it this time. Once again Mother hasn't been acting like normal and has been sneaking out here and there doing things for the party that is suppose to be a surprise...though it isn't because i know it is coming sometime during today. The only mystery left to my birthday are the presents and how big the party is going to be along with where it would be. I am happy to see you though, you can help me spend some time doing things around the house or playing outside or something so that the time will go by and not be so boring.

"Um oh I see. I don't see how you were acting babyish about it last year....." he says walking in with his present in a small bag. "Well then I guess I'll leave my present on the counter and it will get picked up or something and put with the others?" he guesses kind of confused about what to do since the birthday girl hadn't been informed on how her party would go down.

"Would you like to do stuff around the house? I mean I'm here for you Ella so let's just do whatever you want" he says.

I am wanting my birthday to be fun....it was fun all the years before, though now, I'm starting to think that my birthday is getting to be too routine. There are hardly any surprises and have the time the presents aren't something that keeps my interests peaked. Matt, have you ever just wanted to get out and away from it all just for a little while and do things on the spur of the moment? *She sighs some and walks out of the house and into the backyard...lays down on the grass and just looks up into the sky*

"Well, one way to keep your birthday fun as you get older is by having it at theme parks, with roller coasters, or going to big movies, going out to an aquarium or something. You gotta find a fun place for you to go, to enjoy it. Most birthdays do get routine and are more so pay days for us, but when you find that special someone, then you usually give each other the birthday's they want" he explains and follows her outside.

"Spontaneity is fun at times, but eventually is just annoying, by the way there's an ant headed for your hand" he says and steps on it.

*wasn't really caring about said ant and sighs a little loving the ideas that he was bringing to her attention....she blushes a little when hearing about the special someone comment but doesn't look to him so that he notices* i love the idea of the theme parks, and the aquarium sounds cool also....though not so much on the movies idea. i rather get out and do things, you know, stay active. there isn't any reason why i should stop being myself just because i am getting older. -smiles some and pats the ground by her- are you going to join me laying down in the cool breeze on this nice day...or not?

"No I'm just going to stand for a bit, I might sit or something" he says feeling the breeze. "It is a nice day, but I hate laying in grass, it makes you all itchy" he explains and puts his hands into his jean pockets.

"So maybe we hit up a theme park then over the weekend or something? I mean today for your birthday it seems like it will just be some party right?"

It does seem to be a small party that is being prepped for.....though i am not a mind reader, so i wouldn't know for sure. we will just have to wait and see. *she stands a bit and goes back to the house passing him and opens the door* i will meet you in the front yard after i get back from doing what i have to do. -she blushes a little having to have said use the bathroom that way...but wasn't just going to come out and say it-.

(o.O is he old enough to drive or does Ella already have a car from her 16th birthday last year and a valid driver's license? we could just go on bikes, but i am curious here on how we will get to the theme park. )
