Dragon & Rose - GoT RP (PRIVATE w/ AJBestpony)
Daenerys Targaryen was queen of Westeros at last.
When the Golden Company, many of whose members were Westerosi and former Targaryen loyalists, arrived in Mereen to offer their service, Dany finally had the strength to defeat the Wise Masters and bring order and freedom to Slavers Bay.
Shortly after that, Quentyn Martell arrived in Mereen, and it was the eventual alliance with Dorne that finally enabled Dany to cross the Narrow Sea. She brought with her the Golden Company, the Second Sons, and her fanatically loyal Unsullied, as well as Westerosi former lords Ser Barristan Selmy, Ser Jorah Mormont, and the "imp" Tyron Lannister... and of course her dragons Rhaegal, Viseryon, and Drogon, all fully grown.
When Dany reclaimed her family's ancestral stronghold of Dragonstone, Tommen Baratheon sat on the Iron Thone. The young king was weak and inept, the puppet of his mother Cersei Lannister, and he had allowed his queen, Margaery Tyrell, to be imprisoned by the Faith Militant when Cersei had armed them in an attempt to tighten her control of King's Landing. And thus, upon Dany's arrival in Westeros, House Tyrell abandoned its alliance with the Crown and House Lannister to once again support House Targaryen.
The war was short and decisive. Whether out of loyalty to House Targaryen, hatred for Cersei Lannister, or simply sheer terror of Drogon, Viseryon, and Rhaegal, few stood against Dany's forces. When she arrived to lay siege to Kings Landing, Tommen threw himself out a window of the Red Keep. Victory soon followed... the dragons easily destroyed the city's defensive siege engines and blasted through the outer walls, allowing Dany's armies to storm in. In front of the Iron Throne itself, Ser Barristan Selmy killed Ser Jaime Lannister in a sword fight. Cersei was captured and imprisoned in the dungeons below the Red Keep, where she would soon wither away.
As she sat at last upon the Iron Throne, Dany now faced the challenge of rebuilding her war-torn homeland and ensuring a lasting peace. She gave Casterly Rock to Lord Tyrion and promised the Imp a seat on her Small Council if he should desire it. Ser Barristan was returned to his place as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, or Queensguard as it was now known, where he was joined by Ser Jorah and Ser Loras Tyrell as well.
Meanwhile, Margaery Tyrell, former queen to both Joffrey and Tommen Baratheon, was still immensely popular with the smallfolk, one of the most beloved figures in Westeros. And so, in a gesture of unity and friendship, Dany restored Margaery to her place beside the Iron Throne and sought counsel from her grandmother Lady Olenna, matriarch of House Tyrell, known as the Queen of Thorns.
As Drogon, Viseryon, and Rhaegal circled above the Red Keep, or more often Dragonstone, and fished in the sea, peace at last began to settle across the South. Meanwhile, reports came to Dany that the North was recovering from a civil war of its own. House Bolton and its allies were defeated, and Robb Stark of Winterfell was once again "King in the North".
Fiercely independent, separate both culturally and geographically, the Northmen would not be inclined to bend the knee. Tired of the fire and blood and death, Dany would not attack the North. When the time was right, she would reunite the Seven Kingdoms by diplomacy, she decided... especially when she learned that Sansa Stark, sister to the King in the North, was the de facto Lady of the Vale of Arryn after the death of her aunt Lysa.
It had been a long day of holding court, and Dany was somewhat tired but in good spirits overall. Seated on the Iron Throne, she turned to Lady Margaery and gave the former queen, her new friend, a warm smile.

(Looks pretty good)
Margaery smiled back at the blond matriarch. Although Daenerys was younger than she, the Dragon Queen had endured more hardship in her slightly shorter life than the Rose of Highgarden could have ever dreamed to.
All her life, Margaery's family had meant to make her queen. She had been queen to three kings, and she had outlived each in turn. She was content not to marry a fourth time. At least not anytime soon. At any rate, now that her family and bannermen had sworn for House Targaryen, she no longer had to fret over the pressures of sitting beside the Iron Throne.
She was just happy the war was finally over. Now she could focus on the simple pleasures of life, such as companionship. Perhaps she could advise someone truly worthy to sit the Iron Throne.
"Is there anything I might do for you at present, Your Grace?" she asked sweetly.

"You are always so kind, Lady Margaery," Dany replied. "If I could have the pleasure of your company for the rest of the afternoon, that is all I would ask of you for now."
The rest of throne room cleared out except for the seven knights of the Queensguard. Dany rose from the Iron Throne and held out her hand to Margaery. She then led the Rose of Highgarden leisurely to the gardens of the Red Keep. Ser Jorah and Ser Loras followed them closely.
"Your brother is one of the finest knights I have ever seen," Dany said then, trying to make conversation and get to know Margaery better. "I hear he was masterful on the tourney field as well. Perhaps we should hold a tournament soon, and bring some festivities back to King's Landing. I've never seen a Westerosi tournament before," she added, "though I heard stories about them growing up in Pentos."
Dany squeezed Margaery's hand gently. "Forgive me if I am boring you, Lady Margaery," she went on. "With the war over, I am still just trying to get to know my homeland and my people, as I must if I am to be a good Queen. I can't tell you how much the support of House Tyrell, and your friendship in particular, has meant to me."

Margaery happily accepted Dany's hand and exited the Throne Room with her, smiling over her shoulder at Loras as he trailed behind.
As they made their way around the Red Keep, Margaery listened attentively to every word Dany told her. She shrugged at the suggestion of a tournament. "A tournament might be a nice distraction, Your Grace. King Robert tended to throw one at every available opportunity, which contributed greatly to the heap of debt he placed the realm in. Thankfully, now that the throne's debt to the Iron Bank has been repaid, we can afford such amenities now."
Margaery chuckled a bit when Daenerys referred to herself as "boring." "Believe me, Your Grace, your words are the farthest thing from boredom. If you wish for true boredom, trying listening to my lord father prattle on for over an hour about our house and how much we have to be proud of it."
"But the meantime," she went on, "Is there anything else I might do for you? I know how stressful being queen can be. I would be happy to do what I can to alleviate any pressure you may be feeling."

"I have heard about King Robert's carelessness with the treasury," Dany replied, "and I can assure you I will not repeat his mistakes. I am hopeful that Lord Tyrion will join my Small Council as my Hand or perhaps the Master of Coin to assist me with such matters."
"Now then," the young queen continued. She took both of Margaery's hands in hers and kissed them gently, graciously. The Rose of Highgarden was quite beautiful, and Dany couldn't help wanting, well, more than her mere companionship. Nevertheless, Margaery was no Dothraki handmaiden to satisfy her fleeting desires on a whim. She was one of the great ladies, a daughter of one of the greatest houses in the Seven Kingdoms, and Dany would treat her as such.
"You have been queen to not one but two kings who have sat upon the Iron Throne. Now that it is I who sit upon it as queen, I would like very much to make your place at my side as official as it was when you were queen to Joffrey and Tommen. If I were to name you my Queen-consort, would that please you, Lady Margaery? Would you do me that honor? Do you think the Queen of Thorns would approve? And please, tell me your true feelings. Do not be afraid."

"Three kings, actually," Margaery politely corrected the blonde woman, "I was Renly's before my family struck their ill-fated deal with the Lannisters. But in answer to your question, I would be most delighted to assume such a mantle. I live and serve to better the realm, and by extension, to aid in your reign, Your Grace."
Margaery softly placed a kiss on either of Dany's cheeks as a mark of her fealty. Then she said "I would most eagerly accept the title, Your Grace. Please take me into your confidence. In turn, I will confide all to you, as well."
They then prepared to head back inside. It was then that Margaery got an idea for how Dany could cope with the many stresses of ruling. "Your Grace, might we stop at my bedchamber for a bit? I've something I'd like to show you."

"I did not mean to disregard Lord Renly, nor his claim to the Iron Throne," Dany said softly, almost regretfully, "only that he did not have the fortune to sit upon it. Ser Barristan has told me much about him, and I believe he would have been most worthy of the Iron Throne had fortune favored him."
Dany then kissed Margaery long and softly on the forehead. "So be it," she said then. "From this moment, you are now my Queen-consort, with all the rights and privileges you held before as queen to King Renly, King Joffrey, and King Tommen. I shall announce it to the court first thing tomorrow."
"It would be my pleasure to accompany you," Dany replied to Margaery's invitation. She had in fact given Margaery the queen's bedchamber, and renovated another portion of the Maidenvault into her own royal apartment with some of her favorite Pentosi and Mereenese comforts. "In fact, I was going to ask how you most like to rest and relax when you have time to yourself. I tried so many pleasures and comforts when I was queen in Mereen, but nothing every truly made me feel at ease."

Needless to say, Margaery was most grateful for this latest declaration from the young queen, and she happily accepted the title and the kiss on her brow.
With that, they solemnly made their way to the Maidenvault. "That is actually a bit of an interesting story. I know that you had a very rough childhood growing up, always on the run with your brother, whom - according to what I've heard - was a most unpleasant person. You hardly had anything resembling a loving upbringing."
"I, on the other hand, grew up in a most tender and loving household surrounded by my family, friends, and vassals. Even so, I found there were times when the responsibilities and challenges of being highborn could take a toll on one. Therefore, I looked for a way to cope with all the difficulties, mental, emotional, or otherwise."
By now, they had reached Margaery's bedchamber, and she opened the door, allowing the young queen inside and following her in. The guards remained without so that they could be alone. "It happens that I found a rather effective technique not too long ago. The only people who know of it are my mother Lady Alerie, my grandmother Lady Olenna, and Lady Sansa Stark. As it happens, I indulged Lady Sansa in this particular activity whilst she was the Lannisters' prisoner."
Margaery then reached under her bed and pulled out a box, setting it on top of the comforter. She then opened it up and beckoned Dany to look inside.

Dany listened intently to everything Margaery told her. She preferred not to speak of Viserys, so she just nodded politely at that part.
"Oh," she said then, "I had not yet heard that were once close to Lady Sansa. She is currently residing at the Vale of Arryn, is she not? If fortune provides the opportunity, you must introduce us. Perhaps she could help me correspond with her brother King Robb in the North."
Her eyes wide with curiosity, Dany walked over to Margaery's bed and examined the comforts of her box.
There was a vial of some kind of mineral oil that was fragrant and silky, a jar of very fine powder most sweetly scented, and a small stack of the largest, softest, cushiest...
"Are these..." Dany asked softly, holding one of the garments in sheer fascination. "Are these... diapers? Or nappies, as I suppose you'd call them on this side of the Narrow Sea?"

"That's what we normally call them, though the two words are just as interchangeable for us," Maragery said with a smile, "And yes indeed, they are just that."
Margaery proceeded to explain how most people come to associate their infancy or babyhood as the most carefree and least strenuous period of their lives, yet they are unable to remember it. Even so, she had discovered there were ways to simulate that experience. The best way, arguably, was to be diapered.
"I do not wear diapers all the time; usually every once in a while," Margaery explained, "Though there have been times when I have gone full days without wearing any other types of smallclothes."
She then looked to the queen, paying close attention to her reaction. "What do you say, Your Grace? Would you care for me to indulge you in a return to innocence?"
