Mark shuts and locks the door of the sandwich shop, letting out a sound that's a cross between a yawn and a groan. The 19 year old young man had just finished a 13 hour shift on what was supposed to be his day off, at least until his boss called him in to help out so he could ditch out...with the usual threat of "do it or you're fired" having been a good motivator to get him in. Also knowing said boss he wasn't even hoping for overtime from this surprise shift.

As Mark walks down the street he reflects on the week he's had, seeing as how the past 13 hours could almost be called the high point. It had started with him getting dumped by his girlfriend, during which she'd also revealed that she'd been cheating on him with at least two of his so-called friends. Then of course his step dad had decided to "borrow" a chunk of money from his savings account again without asking, again. Naturally, his mom had been quick to come to his defense, assuring Mark that his stepdad would pay back all those surprise loans once he got a good job...which would happen any day now she was sure. Finally, the crappy internet of his apartment building had caused him to miss out on registering for any of the classes he'd wanted, leaving him with the most inconvenient times and worst professors imaginable, so he already knew the whole next semester was going to suck.

"God damnit!" He finally just shouts into the air as he reaches the door of his building. "After all this...something...anything has gotta happen...I don't care what it is I just desperately need some kind of change..."

"Huh?" Mark says as he feels himself leaving the ground. "What's happening? Help! Someone help me!" He screams, however it seems as though everything around him, including other people on the streets, are completely frozen and unable to hear his cries.

"A better place...wait am I dying? Hold on I...I..." Mark stammers, but then feels himself starting to pass out. At first he thinks it's fear, but he soon notices a strange and soothing warmth washing over his body as he rises. In any case, he soon falls unconscious.

A few hours later, Mark would wake up in what looked like a giant crib.

"Uhhh, huh what?" He looks around and struggles to get onto his knees, his body feeling a bit heavy. "What the...where am I?" His vision is still a little blurry from the bright lights, but as it clears he starts to get a better look at his surroundings. He soon realizes that what he's in is a crib, which makes sense because the rest of the room looks just like a nursery. The floor is carpeted, there'a a playpen in one corner, a toy chest in the other, a rocking chair, and even a fully stocked changing table. "What's going on?" Mark asks out loud looking around confused, at this point he also starts to notice that one of the reasons his body feels heavy is that he's wearing some sort of restrictive, full body...suit of some kind. There also appears to be a strange bulk around his waist.

Just then, a tall woman who looked about twice as tall as Mark walked in. She had on a green dress and had blue skin. "Rise and shine, little one." She smiled.

"Wah!" Mark springs back upon seeing the giant blue woman. "What's going on? Who are you? Oh my gosh are you an alien???" He screams as he shuffles backward until he hits the bars of the crib. "You're gonna eat me or probe or something aren't you?" Mark is panicking so much he doesn't even realize that a warmth is starting to build around his lower regions.

"My name is Celeste, and I am an alien. Granted, I never understood where you humans got the probing story from." The alien said in a very warm and motherly tone. "I decided to take you in as my own child, like other members of my species do."
