(I don't know the exact DC for that, but I guess it would be -10 because he's running, but the 450 ft. adds 1 per 10 feet away to the DC as per the rules on perception, or +45 in this case. So the DC for this check would be around DC 35.)

Cetishil is unable to keep track of the elf and loses him (You still have your turn if you want to do anything, but you have no clue where he's at.

(To be fair the perception dcs do not actually resemble realistic numbers for clear sight and are generally intended to be used for people hiding, not those sprinting in plain sight. And he's also running in a straight line so its pretty easy to keep going where he'll be.)

Edit: (Actually, a quick google says that the human eye can see another person sized object from about two kilometers away if they know where it is. Should we go with that number?)

(Let's not go into trying to simulate reality here, it has a habit of breaking games and I'm really a fan of introducing reality. Also, know that it seems likely to Cetishil before she lost sight with him that he's not likely coming back to the tower anytime soon so you don't have to really worry about him bringing friends. As for terrain, it's a hilly one. Would that matter somehow?)

(Alright. I need to know if the terrain is very soft, like a bog, soft, like ground after rain that isn't mud, Firm, like normal ground, or hard, like rock. The DC to follow the guy is 5, 10, 15, or 20 depending on the ground.)

Meanwhile, the elf hits his limit and starts moving slowly as the takes deep breaths to recover from his running. So now he's 480 ft. away from Cetishil.
