The girl, come to think about it, was feeling a bit hot and a tad thirsty. It actually felt very nice, but this sort of weather really lent itself toward comfy shorts and a nice, cool drink to quench her thirst. However, there was no way she was going to sit outside in just a diaper and, more embarrassingly, drink from a baby bottle. "Uh.... n-no thanks, I'm good..." The girl replied hesitantly.

Cordelia could sense the hesitation in Severa's voice, and she knew her well enough to know that that usually meant she was full-on fibbing when she spoke like that. The girl was clearly uncomfortable.
However, instead of just calling her out on it, her mother instead tried to bait the the truth out of her herself. "Are you sure dear? It is awfully warm out here...Don't some nice, cold water sound so refreshing right now?" She cooed. "You can drink the bottle inside if you like, but if we want to keep having more Story Time right now, I don't think you should have those PJ pants on while you're out here. They're way too thick for this warm weather."

The girl was thirsty... and her mother was definitely trying to talk it out of her. It was obvious. As well, she suggested she take off the pajama bottoms, which she REALLY didn't want to do. "But... there's no way I'm going to let anyone see this dumb thing underneath my pajamas! Can't you, like... help me into some shorts or something?"

[Diapee Girl]

Cordelia raised an eyebrow. "Honey, you don't have to worry about anyone seeing your diaper. One, no one has passed by our back yard in the last two hours that we've been out here together. Secondly, even if anyone did pass by, and actually looked back here, the book in your lap would easily cover most of it anyway." She said matter-of-factly, thinking it was kind of silly for Severa to get worked up over it.

Severa wasn't the easiest person to accept reason or logic. Despite her confidence and no-nonsense attitude, she still was aware and partially believed in Murphy's Law. "B-but I... but..." She stammered, trying to win this but finding it even difficult to articulate her rebuttal.

[Diapee Girl]

Seeing the teen start to break down, Cordelia's heart ached for the poor little thing. With a small sigh, she set the book down for a moment before turning Severa around in her lap so that she was now facing her. And with that, she held her stammering child close. "Shh...Shh...Its okay honey...All Mama wants is for you to be comfy. I just think with hoe thick your diapers are, you'll get too hot if you're out here for too long with anything covering them up. But if it would made you feel more comfortable, we can get you changed into a nice pair of shorts before your drink, okay?"

"O... okay then..." The girl was actually getting close to being teary-eyed, her eyes trembling and twitching as she stared into her mother's. But why over such a simple thing? She didn't understand and tried to avert her gaze now, even with being so close.

[Diapee Girl]

The woman gave her daughter a loving smile and took another few minutes to hug and cuddle her close. "There there sweetie...Its okay..." She soothed, drying her tears and kissing her on the top of the head. She wanted to get her nice and calm again before they went inside to get her into some new pants and get her her bottle.

The girl calmed down before the tears escaped, managing to compose herself with a lot of help from the woman. "S-so... can we go do that now, please?"

"Of course honey. Let's go get you taken care of..." She assured, giving the adorable mercenary a little pat on her padded rear before standing up off the chair and carrying her inside. When she felt her bottom though, Cordelia could have sworn her heard a small squish...Something she would have to check when getting her into a new pair of pants...
