Severa again grumbled and mumbled for a few moments, but having enough trust in the two women in the room, the girl eventually rose her head and torso out of the sheets while sitting propped against the wall, though keeping her lower regions concealed.

"Thanks, Severa," Lissa replied with a smile, approaching with her staff and holding the end up against the girl to check her vitals again just in case there was anything else that needed to be attended to immediately.

Cordelia smiled at Severa as she finally slid out from the covers. "There she is..." She teased warmly, sitting down at the foot of the bed as the blonde healer's staff began to glow. After a few moments of silence, the pegasus knight spoke up. "If you have any questions or issues you want to ask about, now is the time to ask them dear." She recommended, wondering if there was anything her daughter was worrying about.

Severa didn't like the staff being so close to her face, but she knew that pushing it away from her during this check would only cause confrontation. Instead, she sat quietly up until she was asked by her mother if she had any questions for the girl. "I have a good chunk, but there's one I need to ask right now; when am I supposed to get out of these damn things? I'm getting sick of wallowing about in my own filth," Severa "asked" in a rather pouty tone.

Lissa raised an eyebrow, but continued on. "I... honestly don't know, Severa. All I know is that some areas of your body are recovering faster than others, though this process still won't necessarily be a fast one. It'll take a while for you to be in fighting shape again, and some area will have to take more time," Lissa replied, then turning to the woman to get some more assurance as it might be more impacting coming from the mother.

Cordelia sighed softly to herself, having tried and failed to find a way to put this news that Severa wouldn't likely go spastic over. So, hoping for the best, she explained in an assuring manner to the best of her ability. "Sweetie...what she's trying to say is that it may very well be a while before you regain the control of your bladder and bowels that you used to have. That area of your body seems to have taken the most impact from your fall..." Her mother said, seriously hoping Severa wouldn't take this too hard. The last thing she wanted was to depress the poor little thing. "While it isn't impossible to imagine that you may eventually regain your pott-, er, toilet training, those organs may not heal the same way as they were before..."

Pausing for a second, the crimson-haired woman looked her child in the eye with a sympathetic expression. This was going to be hard for her to hear. "To put it bluntly dear, you may need diapers for a long time..."

Every word the woman said made the girl's expression grow more weary. It was obvious what this would lead to Cordelia saying, and when she actually said it, Severa had to let it sink in for a while. She had to let the potential realization of her staying in these degrading, humiliating, demoralizing undergarments settle into her skull. As she thought more and more about it, she could feel her eyes yet again watering as she averted the gaze of both women in front of her.

"N-no... it's not true... I'm not going to stay in these things..." Severa weakly replied, her tone not reflecting an attitude of defiance or prideful anymore.

"You have to, Severa. I know it's a bitter pill to swallow, but it's in all of our best interests that you-"

"That I keep what?! Pissing and shitting my pants like a god damned baby and have to be talked to and changed like one?! Isn't it enough that I can hardly move a damn muscle?!" Severa yelled in response, honestly not caring anymore about how the others felt as she let some of her pent-up aggression out, some of the tears streaming down her cheeks.

This brought Lissa to silence...

Cordelia was quiet, watching with a broken heart as her time-traveling child broke down into tears. Her foul language could be forgiven in this case; the poor little thing had just been given some pretty bad news. Her ears still ringing from the teen's shouting, she put a hand on Lissa's shoulder for assurance before crawling up next to the teary-eyed girl on the bed.

"Severa, I understand why you're upset...this is a big change, and I know that you aren't too happy about it..." She told the angry, crying redhead. "But would you rather be dead? Sweetie, it's a damned miracle you survived that fall with as little permanent damage as you did. If you landed on your neck or head, you'd very likely be in a casket right now..." Cordelia continued, shivering at the thought. She slowly reached down and laid her hand on Severa's. "Now, I know you're frustrated right now, as you have a right to be. This is going to be a big adjustment. But just know this: I'm your Mother dear. I'm here for you...But if you want to be alone right now, I'd understand too..." The knight spoke, it taking everything in her power not to hug the crying girl next to her. As much as she wanted to comfort Severa, she might want her space...

As expected, all Severa did in response to having a hand rested on her shoulder was to painfully brush it off and move away from her.
"Just... leave me alone," she asked, her head hung down as she let some of the stray, restrained tears fall down her cheeks and onto the carpet.

"Okay, Severa..." Lissa said in a very soft tone, nodding her head as she started to walk back outside.

The crimson-haired knight wanted nothing more at this moment than to dry the girl's tears and hold her in her arms like she had done the day before, hugging her close and letting her know that everything was going to be okay. Every instinct inside her was willing Cordelia to comfort her poor child; to kiss her and help ease her pain. But there was nothing she could do as long as Severa kept pushing her away.

Trying to mask her pity for her distraught daughter the best she could, she gave her a sad nod and got up off the the bed, leaving Severa alone. "Okay dear...I'll let you have some time to yourself. Just know I'll be right outside if you need anything at all..." She said softly, the sound of Severa's sobs piercing her like arrows. Biting her lip, Cordelia opened the door and walked out with Lissa, her anguish visible in her pained expression.

Lissa, upon seeing the woman in such a state, sighed and put a hand on her shoulder. "Nothing that's happening right now is your fault. I don't know if you're thinking that or not, but I just wanted you to know. She's just... going through a lot and likely trying to process how long it'll take for her to be back on her feet, I'm sure."

Feeling the hand on her shoulder, Cordelia wearily smiled down at her friend. "Thanks Lissa..." She said sincerely, rubbing her eyes and trying to regain her composure. "I...I just wish I could do more, you know?" She replied with a sigh, leaning up against the wall. "I don't want her to think that she has to go through this alone, but at the same time that seems like the only way she wants to do it."
The taller woman's eyes fell to the floor. "I'll wait here for her to calm down, and see if maybe she needs anything then. I'll let you back to Owain and Morgan." She said with an air of tiredness in her voice.
