As expected, the girl just continued on suckling on the bottle even with it empty. If anything, this made her even happier, more eager and more expressive. She was apparently listening to the program, for every time something silly was said, she would follow it up almost immediately with a giggle. This was a completely different side to her indeed... and this definitely removed whatever hope of explaining she detested the kid's show to the woman for sure.

Cordelia couldn't help but giggle to herself at this, letting her daughter suck for a little bit longer and listen to the babyish shows on the television. To her, it was very clear by now that Severa enjoyed them. She would have to leave them on for her more often.
Speaking of which, she would have to make another run to the 'baby' store sometime soon to pick up all these new things she was thinking of to buy Severa...but most of all, the woman wanted to give her something she could suckle on more frequently then a baby bottle. Sure, she knew exactly what to buy for that, and she knew the store carried them in her size, but Cordelia didn't want to leave her little girl alone again today...Of course, there was the one she had in storage from back when she herself was a little girl. It would be a little small, but maybe it would work until she went out and bought her a new pack of them...

Severa just sat while suckling on the empty bottle, still letting out tiny coos and cute giggles as she nuzzled closer and closer to the woman's chest. She had a tendency to like sucking on this or her thumb, so adding something she could do so with more frequently was a good idea.

As much as Cordelia loved holding and loving on her daughter like this, there were still things that needed to be done today. She herself still needed to get herself cleaned up and dressed, and if she had time she could start looking in the attic for her old baby supplies for the object she had been thinking about earlier...

So, after another five minutes, the Crimson-haired woman sighed and gave the diapered girl a kiss on the head again. "Mommy has to go for right now, alright little one? I'll be right back..." She promised, lifting Severa out of her lap and laying her down on the couch yet again. Cordelia made sure to lay her sideways so the bottle was still supported in the mercenary's mouth.

Severa didn't notice right away that the woman was gone, but slowly she felt a different position. Soon enough, her eyes fluttered open, only to discover the bottle still in her mouth. Blushing, she spit it out and let it fall to the floor, now facing the television. As it would only cause more pain to her, she just kept this position and watched the children's programs. Without realizing it, after about a minute or two, the baby bottle previously in her mouth was replaced by the top of her thumb, being lightly nibbled and occasionally suckled on.

Her mother returned maybe half an hour later, feeling energized after her shower and now fully dressed. Upon exiting the hallway and peeking into the living room again, she had to cover her mouth to muffle her giggles. It looked like Severa was awake, but surprise surprise, it looked like she was sucking her thumb again while she watched the baby cartoon playing on the screen. Maybe she would head into the attic and pull 'it' out sooner than she expected. Maybe right after Severa's bath?

"Hi there honey, everything okay over here?" Cordelia cooed warmly as she walked into the room, sitting down next to her daughter on the couch.

The girl jolted from the sudden voice and turned, her thumb still in her mouth. Noticing this, she blushes and took it out. "Um... y-yeah... I'm fine..." she replied dryly, a little embarrassed to be seen with a thumb in her mouth.

Cordelia just smiled to herself and didn't bring up the thumbsucking thing at all, not wanting the diapered teen to feel embarassed about it. "That's good dear. Anyways, I was thinking now would be a good time for your bath..." She continued sweetly, gently lifting the pampered redhead into her arms without much warning. It was obvious that the young woman was in a very chipper and cheerful mood this morning after all that had taken place. Something about being able to love on and take care of her daughter just made the motherly knight feel absolutely elated.

The girl took a moment to process this thought, but before she could mutter anything, she let out a cute little squeak upon being lifted into the woman's arms with relative ease. "Ugh... do you really have to do this, mom? I can do it myself..." Severa complained, crossing her arms and puffing out her lips. The more she was like this, the more it seemed her frustration was morphing into childish yet surprisingly adorable pouting.

"Honey, you and I both know that you're still too injured to strain your body that much. Besides, it'll be good for you to just relax in some warm water." Cordelia replied Simply, dismissing Severa's complaints like a parent talking to a fussy toddler. She then stood up and carried the diapered girl towards the bathroom. "Besides, you didn't seem to mind the last few baths I've given you." She continued, setting her child down on her pampered bottom once they had entered.
