Future Shock (private with RukiaChan)
Beth folded her arms and gave a satisfied sigh as she inspected the workmanship. At last, the small army of men had departed, and the house was her own again. It was hard to believe that such a transformation could have been achieved in a single weekend, while her room-mate was away. Jessica, due back any time now, would be so surprised, Beth was sure, not to mention impressed. This was no ordinary bit of home improvement; Beth had solicited quite a bit more funding than that for this project. After all, as she'd been able to explain to her father, it was bound to add more than it's actual cost to the value of the house, even if only in novelty value alone. And in the meantime, she and Jessica would have the enjoyment of a truly 21st century bathroom.
Pride of place was the new WC, specially imported all the way from Japan at huge expense; it had cost more than the rest of the new bathroom combined. Yet it was shocking to think that most of the rest of the western world was still using a toilet design that hadn't changed or developed for well over one hundred years. This, on the other hand, was truly a product of modern technological development, with an honest-to-goodness control panel directing its multitude of features. Least among them were an automatic lid and flush, heated seat and deodouriser; but far more functionally impressive was the incorporated self-targeting bidet and dryer, which apparently made toilet paper completely unnecessary, and self cleaning sprays and UV lights which eliminated any bacteria or residue. It was all very impressive, and certainly seemed particularly appealing after the plastic bucket of sawdust she'd been forced to set up for herself in her bedroom over the past three days while the men were at work, which was definitely ready to be taken out to the compost heap by now.
Not that the rest of the bathroom wasn't similarly inviting, to-boot. The bathtub was more of a sauna; deep and square, with underwater jets, and there was a separate enclosed shower with a wooden bench alongside it, and very impressive power. Even the sink was a shallow, square and uniquely modern design, which perfectly channelled a solid flow of water without any spray or splashing. The floor, meanwhile, was both heated and fitted with an array of miniscule drains, meaning puddles would be a thing of the past. She smiled to herself, thinking just how much Jessica was going to flip out. Beth was really glad she'd made a surprise out of this while Jessica was away, and managed not to breathe a word about her plans; it would make the experience even more breathtaking when Jessica did reappear.

Arriving back, Jessica opened the front door and stepped into the house. Closing the big door right behind her, Jess took off her shoes and sat them on the shoe racks. She new her roommate liked keeping things simple and clean. She didn't want to upset her by tracking anything in across the white carpets.
Walking through the house, Jess saw her gawking at the bathroom. "Oh, they finally came and refurbished the bathroom?" Jess asked taking a step next to the other girl looking into the bathroom. Seeing the new toilet Jess was slightly discomfort able with it. "Is that even a toilet anymore?" Jess asked not liking the looks of it. Seeing the huge change in the bathroom Jess saw a few things she liked but also a few things she didn't like.
The new bath tub was nice, bigger then the one before. Seeing the squareness of it and the jet sprayers in the tub, Jess was already to try it out. Seeing a bench also Jess was impressed with the interiors. "Wow, now that's a bath tub!" Jess stated with a smile.

Beth startled to find Jessica already there, and standing behind her, even as she inspected the bathroom for herself. She hadn't heard the door, and it seemed Jess had managed to slip silently up the stairs in her stockinged feet. Nevertheless, Beth recovered herself quickly.
"Surprise!" she announced with a flourish. "Isn't it amazing! No expense spared..." She channelled John Hammond, the WC her magnificent T-Rex centrepiece. "And you're right," she emphasised in glorious hyperbole, "it hardly is a toilet any more! This is a state of the art, space-station era, robo-relief seat! Like nothing you've probably ever encountered in this country ever before. Me and my dad had it shipped all the way from Japan, and even then, it's one of the very best and the very fanciest! See."
She stepped a little closer towards the device, and in response, sensing her presence, it obligingly lifted its lid, and began its gentle water sprays over the surface of it's bowl, emitting a low purr as its fans and motors came to life. The seat, she knew, though she'd yet to properly try it for herself, would already be rapidly warming itself to the most pleasant of temperatures.
"Here," she beckoned her friend forward, shamelessly. "Come try it out."
It was a shame she didn't need to go herself, she reflected, so she could demonstrate. But she'd been unable to wait while the men had been packing up this morning, and had used the stinky sawdust bucket one last time only about half an hour before. She'd have to transport that outside under Jessica's judgemental eye, now. Not that Beth really worried or cared about such things. She'd soon see that such undignified measures had been quite worthwhile, now they had such a device in place to banish all such concerns permanently to the past.

Getting scooted close to the new toilet, Jess then backed away behind her. "No I'm good, I don't need to go either." Jess said having a slight sweat look to her face. She wasn't trying to deny the toilet, but it was just different and creepy to her. It's like it was a living thing.
Upon seeing it activate Jess slightly jumped, "it moves on its own." Jess said staring at the toilet. Seeing fans and sprayers activate, Jess got creeped out by it. I think I'm going to run to my room for a bit, I've had a long day.
Jess said ready to get away from that contraption. Squeezing through the door, Jess quickly went to her room.
Getting in her room, Jess had everything nice and tidy in there. Her books in A-Z with titles, her bed was made with not a single wrinkle in it. Her desk was set up without any cluster on it. Going to her desk Jess sat down, she needed to pee but she didn't want to use that toilet.

Beth frowned with disappointment as Jess quickly disappeared from the room. Her response was hardly what she'd been hoping for, and frankly rather underwhelming. She'd been expecting wowed awe, and what she'd got seemed more like unhappy shock. But who wouldn't want a high-tech bathroom like this? It wasn't like Jess was paying for it!
While her friend retreated abruptly to her room, Beth took the opportunity to go to her own and collect the lidded sawdust bucket from the corner. She'd assembled it on the advice of the internet, adding a little more sawdust from a petshop-pack to cover the results each time she used it, which was supposed to cover any smell. But after three days, it was definitely ready to be dealt with; hardly a task she was relishing. Like cleaning out a foul pet-cage, only the pet responsible was her.
She hurried outside, removing socks rather than putting on shoes, and made her way to the bottom of the large garden, where she upended the bucket into the compost bin. Predictably, the bottom half of the sawdust was sodden and solid, and she had to bang to get it out, but thankfully there was no uncovered sign of the 'other' kinds of deposit she'd been forced to make. It smelt, though, and she was glad to stumble away, knowing there was going to be no more of anything like that after this. Rinsing the bucket out under the tap, she brought it back inside with her to sterilise, carefully washing her feet too under the freezing water, to avoid trekking any dirt inside.
Once she'd set the bucket in the kitchen sink with a couple of sterilising tablets, Beth decided it was probably time to go and talk to Jess again. Now she'd had time to settle in and get over her surprise, maybe she'd be ready to show a little more enthusiasm, and talk about Beth's brilliance a little more. Padding her way up the stairs, Beth knocked perfunctorily on Jess's door, then pushed her way carelessly inside.

After being home for a few hours, Jess couldn't help but to think about the new bathroom. The idea of that toilet just creeped her out. But at the moment she was getting in a dyer situation. Watching her friend through the window. Jess saw she was foing something with the compost. "She must be cleaning again." Jess said to herself.
Standing with her hands cupped between her legs, Jesse's pink; but soft shorts started to ride up. "I don't know how much longer I can hold this."
Upon hearing thumping up the stairs, Jess then heard the knock at her door. Her bedroom door was slightly large, it had for rectangle spots on it and a gold colored door handle. Feeling her bladder releasing Jess went wide eyed. "No! Wait don't come... In.." Jess said seeing the door burst open. Standing there now Infront of her friend, A yellow spot grew beneath the girl as the pee continued going down her legs.

"What are you doing!" Beth exclaimed in shock, though it was pretty obvious by that point. "I thought you said you didn't have to go!" She looked around herself for something, fortunately finding an abandoned bath towel nearby. "No, wait... don't move," she commanded, taking charge immediately. "Stay there until you're all done. Don't spread it around."
She knelt down immediately and mopped between Jessica's feet, before pressing the towel to her ankle to collect the last of the stream that still flowed, the towel warm and sodden in her hands.
"Honestly Jess!" she reproached. "I didn't think you were the kind to have accidents!" Especially not here, within fifteen feet of their incredible new bathroom. So much for the compost heap being Beth's last experience of dealing with that sort of thing; she could never have imagined she'd be back to cleaning up bodily wastes within not even five minutes. She gave an exasperated sigh, and looked up, wondering what Jess had to say for herself.

Going to answer, Jess was caught off by getting told to remain where she was. Giving a slight saddened look, Jess watched as her friend grabbed the towel and began mopping up the golden puddle at her feet. Feeling the towel graze her ankles, Jess looked down to see the last of the pee soak up in the towel.
"Well to be frankly honest, I like the aspect of the bathroom. Although yes I needed to pee, and lied... But that toilet creeps me out. That's why I didn't use it. Please don't be mad at me, I just didn't want to upset you."
Jess said looking at her friend with clarity. "I mean, it's just seeing the toilet doing everything on its own accord. It gives me goose bumps. I guess I'm just not ready for something that does that." Jess said seeing her friend had finished cleaning up the mess.
Jess now stood there in her wet clothes slightly embarrassed but yet upset. She knew her friend disliked cleaning messes up, but she knew she also understood to.

Beth shot her friend an incredulous look. After all the time and money she'd put into planning and providing the ultimate bathroom for both her and Jess to use, and having been waiting eagerly to show it off in all its glory, she couldn't help but find her feelings hurt by a reaction of this kind. And so extreme; Jess didn't just not like it, it seemed, but rejected even giving it a try, to even this extent!
"You're saying you'd rather pee in your pants than even try out our beautiful new toilet!" Beth exclaimed scathingly. "Is that what you're planning to do from now on?! Have you even thought about that; because things aren't going to be changing back any time soon!?" She sighed, steeling herself to a softer tone, knowing berating the other girl was hardly likely to convince her after seeing her demonstrate her commitment to her cause in such a dramatic way. "Just try it out," she pleaded; "it's the very best money can buy, for comfort, hygiene and convenience. I'm sure you'll love it once you get used to the idea."
She wadded the towel up into a ball between her hands, and knelt up to look Jess in the eye.
"I suppose you best take those wet shorts off and go have a shower, if nothing else," she remarked, bluntly.

"I know you paid a lot Beth, and I'm sorry... And I'll try, but I can't promise. The rest of the bathroom is fine, it's just the toilet that scares me. " Jess said seeing Beth stand up looking her in the eye's. "And I don't plan on peeing my pants all the time. This was a accident any ways."
Jess stated after hearing Beth's comment. "Although I'm not sure how to use the new bath tub and shower, so your going to have to show me." Jess said taking her wet shorts off. Seeing how there was a big wet spot on them Jess now held them in her hands.
"Should i put these in the towel? Or hamper? I don't want you getting mad at me Beth." Jess said waiting for a response from the other girl. Jess could tell Beth was still slightly displeased about the bathroom conversation.
