"Sure," Alexis nods, pulling out her cards, put also pulling over a laptop that she has on the table in front of the couch. "In fact, I was also thinking we could look over the replay of your academy duel so we could go over anything you did wrong. Also you might want to get out your own cards." She brings up and starts playing the replay of Claire fighting the proctor. This particular one had been using the "Attack Power" test deck, designed to confront students with brute force cards.

"oh, well, that could work, but I don't really know how well it would look" she said a little embarrassed, as she didn't give much of a fight, as she just pulls out her own deck for alexis to see, the deck looked similar to jaiden "hero" deck, but it looks like instead of fusion monsters, they where ritual monsters, focused on requiring one specific monster for the ritual. the name of the archetype is "heroine" from what most of the monsters showed

"Hmm, interesting," Alexis nods as she looks through Claire's cards. "Kind of reminds me of one of my friends decks. Definitely seems like you need more searching and draw power though..." As she's looking she turns on the replay. They watch for a moment, Claire and the proctor go back and forth for a moment, but then Alexis pauses. "Okay I think I just found where you made a big mistake." She says pointing to the screen:

The Proctor is having his Gene-Warped Warwolf (2000 atk) attacking Claire's defense position Stoneshard Heroine (1500 defense) He has two other monsters, Vorse Raider (1900 attack) and Wolf Axwielder (1650 attack) in reserve. Before the attack can connect, Claire activates a Negate Attack trap card stopping the battle phase.

"So here you saved your monster, but," Alexis pauses and picks up Claire's copy of Stoneshard Heroine, "It says here that when Stoneshard Heroine is destroyed, you can add any other Heroine from your deck or graveyard to your hand."

"I mean, I know, but I just thought if it would be destroyed..." claire just stood silent, she really didn't know how to explain this to alexis, as all the time she tried to explain how she could really talk with her monsters to someone, as she didn't like them getting hurt because of that same reason, but every time she did they would make fun of her and tell her how that wasn't real, worried about that, claire just tried to instead think of a lie "...I was worried that if they destroyed it, they would have gone for my other monsters..." claire said, not really sure how convincing it sounded

Alexis raises an eyebrow, clearing not buying that excuse.

"Well okay, but what I mean is, if you'd let that monster get destroyed you could have used your trap afterwards to protect your others, then you would have also gotten that search," Alexis starts the replay again. "Then there's what happened next..."

After the trap, the Proctor ends his turn with a facedown, but all Claire is able to do is draw, summon another Heroine in defense mode and end her turn. On the next turn, the Proctor activates his Meteorain trap card to give his monsters piercing, summons a Pitch-Dark Warwolf, and pumps all his monsters up with equip spells. They then all attack, destroying Claire's monsters and wiping out her life points.

"You wasted your trap and left yourself open, Claire," Alexis sighs and shakes her head turning to Claire. "More importantly, you could have won," she rewinds the playback a little and zooms in on Claire's hand, which shows that she has a ritual monster and a copy of the Heroine all purpose ritual spell: Armorize Rite. "If you had let your Stoneshard Heroine get destroyed, you could have searched out the monster you needed, then you could have ritual summoned on your next turn and won," She turns from oteh replay and lays her hand on Claire's shoulder. "Listen, I know people like Crowler will put you down as lazy or stupid, but I've seen your scores and know that isn't true...just like I can tell there's more to why you didn't let your monster get destroyed. I understand you're still probably a little...overwhelmed right now," Alexis glances down at Claire's diaper bulge, "But please understand I can't help you if you won't trust me."

claire was looking down during that, she knew she could win, but she was worried during that time of a trap card crowler had put face down before during the duel, because of that happening, she was waiting to get a card that would let her destroy it first or for crowler to do it, she just didn't want any of her friends to get hurt.

"...it's just really stupid" claire just said to herself really quietly, worried about what alexis will think of her after she talks about her spirit friends, she knows how people react to it, and being part of the 'kuriboh brown' now won't help on that, as she wonders that one of the spirits of her cards appears next to her.

"Look, I know you didn't really want us to get hurt, but we really want you to succeed, we know you want us to be safe, but we also want the same to you, you can just tell her, I'm sure she'll understand"

(I just took control of one of the spirits for the scene, if you don't want me to I understand, sorry)

"Claire?" Alexis asks as it seems to her that Claire is now distracted. Assuming she's getting upset, Alexis scoots closer and gives her a hug. "Look I just want to help Claire. Please just tell me, I promise I won't think any less of you. Whatever the explanation is."

(yeah, I just wasn't sure as we never talk about how we would do the spirits, im fine with that)

"claire, she is just trying to help you, I'm sure you can trust her" stoneshard said as she looked worried at her with how much claire only talked to her own deck and didn't have many other people.

as claire hears her one of her friends telling her about it, she just sighs in defeat "no no, it's fine, I understand, i'ts just...i'm always made fun because of it" she said, still feeling unsure about saying it, trying to push herself to say it

"Well for what it's worth, I've seen and experienced a lot in the past few years that makes it pretty hard to surprise me," Alexis says with a smile, before starting to gently stroke Claire's hair. "Please just tell me. I swear I won't laugh or make fun of you."
