Abel let out a yelp at the prod to his leg, whimpering and shivering as Danny stood back up. "God...oh, damn that hurts!" he stammered, tears starting to fall as he clenched his leg. He took a look up at Danny, face stricken with remorse and fear of the unknown. "I...I'm r-really sorry, I just...I didn't..."

Abel, whining and whimpering as he got some leverage on the wall beside him, stood up, fear still in his eyes as he looked at Danny. "Who...who are you anyway?" he asked, his voice low and weak. "Those clothes...I had you pegged as a business type. Wait- y-you're not a cop, are you?" he asked as the horrifying thought came to mind.

"You don't need to know that. But you were pretty far off" he said "Not a cop. I suppose freedom fighter or vigilante would be on my occupation part of my ID." he said stroking his hair back , it was getting soaked in the rain. "You better get to a med centre or you'll die of blood loss , not really an expert on your kind but I know you don't have infinite blood to loose. Time's a ticking"

Abel looked down at the wound in his leg, wincing a little when he moved it. He then gave a soft chuckle, shaking his head and looking at Danny. "I would if I could pay the bill. Besides, you know as well as I do they'll put me under arrest as soon as I limp in there," he said with a sigh. "You know how they are. Only two kinds of people get shot in their eyes, that's cops and criminals...but..." he trailed off as he looked Danny in the eyes, an idea obviously having crossed his mind. "You...you're with the Underground, right? You guys have gotta have your own, like, doctors for this kinda stuff, don't you?"

"Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. Suppose I am , why would I do that and what would I get in return , hypothetically, if they were to treat you I would assume you need to give something in exchange ,assuming that supplies are low as they are and hard to get a hold of " he said , not committing to anything just yet "You would , but then again you have committed a crime , trying to rob me , you would get treated , and then sent to jail. How is that not just and fair?" he asked , not quite on the side of helping him yet , all things considering.

"I...I could work for you. Or anyone in...your line of work," Abel said. "Listen, I'm not that strong, but I can run. And I know computers - I'm no hacker, but I know the hardware side, and I could build a data miner that'll never overheat if I had some scrap and the right tools." He wiped the rain from his face, pushing the soaked fur on his head out of his eyes. "I could do anything you wanted me to, and I can learn anything I need to. I'll do anything. Just please don't leave me like this, I don't know anything about medical care, and I can't go back to jail," he added, his voice breaking a little bit at that point. "Please."

Danny rolled his eyes , he was getting wet , he better decide "fine then" he said , sighing at the amount of extra work he was going to have to do. "You've already been to jail once?" he asked as he picked him up and threw him over his shoulder "Hold on" he said as he started to jog down the street , he didn't live too far away , he could run there and make it.

It took a little over 15 mins to get there , a tall grey steel skyscraper , just like every other building. The street was dark except for the yellow light coming from the building. There was black trash bags around the place and bills and posters plastered on the sides of buildings , some faded and soaked , others half torn off. There was spray painted graffiti , not much though , the police had been around blasting it off with a fire hose recently. He took the fox inside, using his key to open the thick glass double doors and headed inside. To the left and right were hallways with numbered doors on either side. He headed on to the elevator , hit the button , dragged him in and headed up to the 24th floor. Taking him out he dragged him to his flat , number 24 and helped him inside. It was a very plain and clean apartment , nice but simple , one bedroom set up. Although this one had another bedroom but it was used for storage.

"Yeah," he replied, grunting as Danny tossed him over his shoulder. "Vandalism...and larceny. Surprise, right?" He said with a chuckle.

Abel looked around as Danny hauled him through the lobby of the building, or at least as much as he could. It was typical of most apartments of the time - abandoned, no signs of life, but that didn't necessarily mean that nobody lived there. He gave a whimper of pain as Danny sat him down inside the apartment, not exactly in his right mind by this point. "Nice place..." he said weakly, seeming rather worse for wear.

"Hmm , well whatever" he replied tossing him down on the couch and heading to the kitchen. He returned with a sharp knife , a wooden spoon , some bandages and a bottle of cheap vodka. He sat down beside him "bite this" he said putting the long bit of wood into his mouth and opening the vodka. He spared no time in stabbing into his bleeding wound and twisting it until he could easily flick the bullet out , lucky it had missed his bone and stayed in one piece. He doused the wound with vodka before wrapping it up with the bandage , tying it off at the end. "There we go , treated."
