Max waved goodbye to Chole and watched her leave before running inside the building and up towards the dorms and more importantly Victoria's room.

It didn't take long for Max to start crying again but this time harder than before.

She had held a lot back with Chole despite crying a fair amount but now she was bawling just like a baby in Victoria's lap to distraught to realise that she was being bounced and that Victoria had called herself Mommy.

Max sobbing became more calm after a good ten minutes and a couple of more minutes later she was no longer crying but she continued to hold onto Victoria for dear life.

"Chole nearly died," whispered Max, "she nearly died twice," she paused whimpering, "Nathan had a gun and then she got caught in the tracks and a train nearly...."

Max stopped and started to whimper a lot wondering if she should tell Victoria of her powers or not at all? And more importantly how would she do it?

She bounces the girl gently "a gun really? And train tracks" she paused pulling mx close she pulled the girl's shirt off "we're skiping class today" she said firmly putting a pajama top on the girl it was pink with a care bear on it and the bottoms were fluffy with pink carebears on it too.

She dressed the girl gently " you need to relax I'll deal with nathan and I'll keep you safe" she promised turning another movie on she litterally held the girl hostage in her lap while humming. "Have you been eatng? She noted the clothes seemed a tad loose on her. "Would it help if I got Kate to come in here she'd robably wanna keep you company" she said sweetly kissing the girl's head.

She already texted her friends having them tell Kate to meet her here she knew the girl would struggle to resist coming here especially when they mentioned it involved max.

Max nodded her head timidly and fearfully at the mention of the gun and train tracks tears building up in her eyes again at the fact that she had seen Chole die twice now and if she hadn't been there....

She didn't even want to think about that.

Max took a deep breath and thought for a moment, "I can look after myself and take on Nathan...."

Max didn't sound very confident and seemed much more unsure by what she had just said.

Max blushed and nodded, "I had a big breakfast earlier..."

Max looked at the clothes she was wearing and frowned, "Do I really need to wear this? I look like a little kid?" stated Max slightly annoyed but she didn't get off Victoria's lap at all instead she just held onto the rich blonde more just like a child clinging to its mother.

Max smiled at the mention of Kate and nodded, "Please!"

It didn't take long for Kate to run up and into Victoria's room. She was scared of Victoria but very protective of Max because of how sweet she was and how protective Max was of her in return, "You okay Max?" asked Kate timidly sitting down next to Victoria and eyeing the pyjamas that Max was wearing, "you look cute like that."

Max couldn't help but snort a little at that, "I look like a kid."

Kate didn't say anything in response to that not wanting to upset Max at all with what she thought.

Victoria bounced max in her lap "she's had a pretty rough couple of days" she said sadly as she cooed in the girl's ear. "What if you two chat for a minute while I go get us some food" she said rubbing max's head affectionately.

She left for the moment leavinh both small girl's too their own devices cartoon still playing on the tv.

Victoria got some pizza and even stopped by max's room grabbing her old teddy bear. Before returning to the room.

Kate nodded a little at that and took Max into her own lap once Victoria left to go get food.

Kate and Max both curled up together waiting for Victoria's return while they watched cartoons talking here and there.

Max seeing Victoria's return with pizza and more importantly her old teddy bear reached out for the old toy wanting to cuddle it causing Kate to giggle slightly.

She gave the girl the bear and laied the pizza box on the table "feeling any better sweetie?" She cooes gently hugging max to her chest.

She took a seat next to the two girls and let them enjoy

Max hugged the bear tightly and snuggled up to Victoria with her hand still holding Kate's her other hand reaching for the pizza to eat.

Max ended up with a lot of pizza sauce over her mouth after she finishes eating.

Kate only had one slice she hadn't been feeling hungry for a while now and it was starting to show a little that she wasn't eating at all.

Her energy was low and there was dark circles under her eyes because of the endless nights she stayed up crying because of how mean people were towards her because of what Victoria and especially Nathan did to her but she couldn't remember anything yet she would have these weird moments around Jefferson where her anxiety would spike through the roof which she didn't get with Victoria at all despite Victoria's meaness.

It didn't make any sense to her as to why she felt so instinctively afraid of Jefferson? She felt a little bit better not being in his class right now.

Victoria sighed noticing just how bad kate looked she wouldn't push though and after max fell sleep they'd go their seperate ways. Ideally the is she was aware she would have to del with kate at some point.

She frowned ting max into a tight hUg and wiping her mouth with a napkin.she turned the movie up and wrapped max up in another bl ket

Max whined a little at having her mouth wiped but it didn't take long for her to fall asleep in Victoria's arms.

Once Max fell asleep Kate looked at Victoria fearfully and got up nervously, "I better get back to my room I have some homework that I need to do really urgently," paused Kate by the door before looking at Max worriedly, "don't hurt her okay." added Kate before going back to her room.

She shook her head "who could hurt this cutie" she cooed bouncing max. After that she tucked them into bed and snuggled max the whole night.

"Youre such a good kid" she cooes as she wakes up making breakfast again. Eat up we've got class in 15 minutes." She smiled when the girl finished she wiped her mouth and slipped shoes on the girl's feet leaving her in the pjs "sorry we overslept" she said guiding max out the door by the hand. She was dressed like. Lil kid but they were in a hurry.
