"I will mom," Ariel said. "Atleast until you say it's safe because then I want to see the strange creatures for myself," Ariel added as she flicked her tail slightly. Ariel, while also being obsessed with human things but even without that, was considered strange by most merpeople. Ariel had never fully grown out of the aspect of cuddling with another. Ariel believed that cuddling was one of those things you did no matter your age, despite what her sisters said about it. Besides, being the youngest did have its perks of being able to cuddle whenever she wanted.

''Thank you my little guppy and I will let you know when it is for sure'' Athena offered in being rather relieved on the matter as she'd prefer to prevent trouble over all.. but she can't prevent all of it after all'' Now is there anything my little guppy wants to do with her mommy?'' Athena asked as she feels odd like she might not be regularly seeing her youngest daughter in person after awhile and she has learned to trust such feelings.. So she is wanting to monopolize as much time as she can with her youngest girl .

Athena though after a moment leaned into her daughters ear to whisper ''I know, why don't I show you something your father doesn't know about'' Athena is a lot like her youngest in ways or rather her youngest takes after her in a lot of ways .. Which Athena has her own secrets she don't share much if at all

Ariel grinned, excited at the prospect of seeing strange creatures once it was deemed safe. 'Not that they ever think that anything is safe enough,' Ariel thought as she sighed internally. Ariel rested her head on her mother's chest with a small smile. 'Mommy? Been a little bit since she called herself that,' Ariel thought idly as she glanced up at Athena.

"I'd like that," Ariel grinned. Ariel had learned that if her mom had a secret that her father didn't know about, then it was probably a good secret. Atleast that's been the case over the years.

''Now my little guppy … Remind me have I taught you to read human languages?'' Athena asked as she got her daughter up with her and started swimming off somewhere else planning to take her sweet girl to a place she has been storing human books in secret that she gets her hands on as her husband may not even like human knowledge around … she has a thirst for learning nearly anything she can even if its on fictional matters as she enjoys such things aswell… Whatever the case she has built up a sort of hidden library of human literature even things that can only loosely be labeled as such... for example comics granted she hates to say it but she has a whole sections of them do to how humans have discarded them over the years and she had kinda thought it'd be just a every now and again find but she has quite a lot of them in this dry cavern aswell as a lot of actual books for kids to adults

"You taught me some mom," Ariel said as she swam beside Athena. "Father interrupted it though, I don't think he knew what you were teaching me," Ariel softly said as she grinned slightly while swimming around her mother slowly. "Why do you ask?" Ariel questioned while running her hand along the wall beside her as she swam, enjoying the texture of how the coral wall felt. Ariel had learned to navigate the halls with how each wall felt since they had different textures and that allowed her to sneak out when there was no light.

''Ah yes I recall now... He thought I was teaching you some form of ritual writing '' Athena really doesn't get how that man that while she loves him can be such a idiot at times and paranoid on things especially if he thinks its somehow possibly related to Ursula aswell as if it goes against tradition ..

''You'll see when we get there '' Athena spoke as they keep on and was heading to a part of the halls that her husband had stopped work on thanks to a cavern that was found that must lead to the surface somehow or so he thinks.. when she knows better do to her actually thirsting after knowledge ensured she understood the cavern could just be a sealed off chamber of air from long ago and her exploring of the place supports that theory of it not leading to the surface at all.. Regardless when they get there Arial will be greeted by makeshift shelves of varies human reading material and thanks to dry off her hair and upper body enough to read the books without ruining them

"Father must think you can do no wrong," Ariel said as she rolled her eyes slightly with a playful grin. "Even though you're the one who corrupted me, and made me into this sneaky guppy," Ariel said teasingly as she swam beside her mother.

Ariel gasped slightly as they arrived in the cavern filled with makeshift shelves of reading materials. "How did you manage to do this?" Ariel asked as she surfaced, shivering as the air met her skin. Ariel looked over the books with a small grin on her face.

''Such a witty littlie guppy too'' Athena gleefully remarked as a witty and teasing mind is often times a sign of good intelligence in some manner granted that's not always the case but its a decent indicator of such things ''And I did not corrupt you.. I encouraged you to find solutions to problems aswell to keep learning no matter what so long as it doesn't harm others'' Of course Athena was actually just denying that she had encouraged Arial to be a rebel and thus actually did corrupt her daughter in a way

''It wasn't easy that's for sure'' Athena commented on the matter as she helped dry her daughters hair and upper body proper so her daughter can at least attempt to read the simpler books

"Yeah, okay. You just don't want to admit that you turned me into a rebel," Ariel said jokingly with a small grin on her face. Ariel certainly had turned out to be more rebellious than any of her sisters, simply because of her mother and the fact that listening to directions wasn't Ariel's strong suit.

Ariel sighed softly as she let her mother dry her hair and upper body. "Thank you," she said as she took down a small book, it'swriting more directed towards children and made to be easy to read at a young age.

''Does my little guppy understand the writing or does mommy need to help her hatchling ?'' Athena questioned as it seemed either Ariel might be struggling reading it .. understand the concept or amused .. though Athena might be wrong on that as reading others facial expressions isn't her strong suit. Even when coming to her children after they got old enough as she was so much more for learning then she was anything else when she was younger .. in fact if she was a human she'd been seen as a nerd or geek by her peers growing up
