Submitted a story a few days ago and am still waiting for "approval".

Your best bet is to VM or PM one of the fiction mods directly as currently, there is a bug in the fiction area which causes the body of text of submitted stories to be reformatted into one large block of text (For more information and a workaround for the problem that was suggested by another member which was approved of by the lead fiction mod, see -> here). Without any proper formatting (Paragraph indentations, spacing between two given paragraphs, page breaks, etc.) the reformatted story will be rejected whenever a fiction mod sees it (They are aware of the bug and that you might not have formatted it in such a way but in any case, they are not going to reformat it properly for you [Otherwise, they would have to do that for every single submitted story]). The two fiction mods that I am aware of are Mistress (She is the lead fiction mod) and Arukan. You can try to ask either one of them to look into your problem. I hope this helps~!

I looked at the link and I'm pretty sure that I'm using Microsoft Explorer.

Hmm ... You can also try submitting your story using FireFox, VM/PM Mistress, ask her whether she can see either uploads (via IE or FireFox) of your submitted story intact (Not reformatted) and let her proceed from that point. I just visited her VM and noticed that another member was also having a problem with a story that he submitted a few days ago (See -> here). It seems that there is another bug that may be causing the text in a submitted story to disappear if a smartphone is used to upload the file (I was only aware of the other bug that reformats text into a block if IE or FF is not used). If you had used a smartphone when you first submitted your story, try submitting your story again using a desktop or laptop computer, VM/PM Mistress, ask her whether she can see any upload of your submitted story intact (Not reformatted) and let her proceed from that point. Worse case scenario, you can still do what the member in the linked thread in my previous post did and upload your story to Google Docs and then post links to it in the "Story Reviews" section - Mistress had already approved of the use of this method earlier, so there should be no problem with you resorting to using this method as a final option if all else fails~!

BTW - If you are able to eventually get your story approved (I wish you the best with that) then please let all of us know in this thread. Your answer will help the next person(s) that reads this thread seeking help with the same question (You get to help others in turn)!

I have a laptop but the McAfee just expired and I don't want to get a virus by coming here. Currently, I just use the laptop for playing Civ4. Besides, I use my smartphone for everything... shame these bugs exist.

I would recommend that you download and install Avira Free AntiVirus on your laptop (It is compatible with Windows 7 and up) -> https://www.avira.com/en/free-antivirus-windows. I use it on all of my machines and it does its job pretty well. It is comparable to Kaspersky AV (Kaspersky is one of the best paid AV out there. See -> https://www.slant.co/versus/5415/115...ersky_vs_avira). If your laptop has an older OS installed like Windows XP SP3, I'd recommend that you download and install AVG Free AntiVirus (It supports Windows XP SP3 and up. See "System Requirements for Avast Free Antivirus 2019" in the following page. The download link is on the same page) -> https://www.avgsa.co.za/support/avg-...ating-systems/. I had installed AVG Free AV on my old Pentium 4-M 2.66GHz laptop with Windows XP. After Windows 7 was released and Avira no longer supported their AV on Windows XP machines, I had to uninstall Avira and install AVG instead. BTW, I was able to install Windows 7 Starter edition on that old laptop but with only 1GB of DDR memory, the maximum amount supported by that machine, it ran slow, so I uninstalled 7 and re-installed XP and AVG Free AV).

Given your situation, it appears that the only options open to you to share your story are either A) Install Avira Free AntiVirus or AVG Free AntiVirus on your old laptop and then try to resubmit your story with MS Internet Explorer or B) Use your smartphone to upload your story to Google Docs and then post links to it in a new thread in the "Story Reviews" section. One of those options has got to work for you!
