Mai's Daycare Shelter

It was a raining outside, a very powerful storm roars outside.

Most of the buildings outside were closed except for one, unlocked and apparently empty

Mai, soaked to the skin, shivering from the cold, was frantically looking for shelter. Against the rain, against the wind...
Everything was already closed, locked, shutters lowered, and no one even heard the 6-year-old's pleas for shelter in the howl of the wind, and the cracking thunder.
She was all alone. Again. Still.
Hungry, thirsty, tired, cold, soaked, her little red dress torn, dirty, her legs were not long from giving up.
But she did find something. An open door. The building looked empty, but also looked like it was in a good enough condition. Maybe the storm shorted out the motion sensor, but the little girl didn't care about that, only that the glass sliding doors were stuck open.
Maybe she could find some rags inside, to warm up. The alternative was going back to the orphanage. She wasn't that desperate yet.
As fast as she could on her bare feet, she rushed inside and looked around in the reception area, trying to find a clue what this place was, and where could she possibly find something to eat, something to drink, and a blanket.

The room lights lit up as the girl entered showing the entire room.
It looks like a reception room, iluminated, white walls and ceiling, dark wooden floor.

There was a dark wooden counter at the back seemingly empty, on the walls were some small brightly painted wooden shelves stocked with magazines.

On the right side of the counter, was a chair with some armrest, small enough to fit a child and looking pretty comfy.

The soaked little girl looked around, shuddering when the lights came on, looking around nervously for anyone to have turned them on, before she realised they were most probably automatic.
The place was a lot less scary now, that it was lit up, and she was a bit more comfortable.
She still needed to rest a bit, and warm up, and that comfy looking child sized chair got her attention.
She approached carefully, first feeling it up, and once she noticed it was soft and warm to the touch, she hopped in, leaned back, and got comfy, resting her arms on the armrests and closing her eyes for a moment.

As soon as she sat on the chair a leather belt closed around above her waist, tight enough to keep her sat but not to be uncomfortable.
Then a square from the ceiling slide and a tactile screen came down from the open area with the following text:

With childish teddy bears and bunnies all around the screen.

Her relaxation was cut short when she suddenly heard a noise and felt something press against her waist. She looked down and saw the belt, and immediately started struggling to get out.
- Help! Someone help me! - she yelled, kicking and trying to open the restraint.
When the screen came down, she only stopped for a second. She was only six, not even a first grader, so she couldn't read what was on the screen. Probably something important...
- Let me go! - she yelled, but soon she was too exhausted to keep struggling, and calmed down, trying to catch her breath.

After 3 minutes the AI in charge of the system came to the conclusion that there where nobody to fill the form so it started looking for external indo to determine how to proceed.

After some research, it concludes that this child was probably looking for somewhere to stay safe from the rain outside and the best way to proceed is to take care of her.

Then the screen went back and a voice could be heard from the ceiling, "hey little one something tells me that you came here seeking a safe place and protection from the storm, is that right?" sounding calmly and motherly.

Minutes passed, which felt like an eternity, especially when you can't get up. But nothing further bad happened, and the chair was kind of comfortable. She still felt trapped, but she felt less cold and tired. So, when the voice came through, she was a bit less panicky.
- Y-yes? I'm s-sorry, I really didn't want to disturb you! - she replied, her voice shaking, just like the girl herself.

"Aww, don't worry sweetheart, this is a daycare and I am going to take good care of you so don't worry, okay?" said the motherly voice when a metal hand with warmed gloves comes down and pats the girls forehead, "Oh my you're soaking wet! Let's make this fast so we can take care of that. Ok I need you to tell me your name, age, what colour you like the most and if you are a girl or a boy" Said the feminine voice while the hand was now softly tickling the girl.
