Misty’s water type problem (Private)

Misty sighed softly and walked through the forest, Sure there was a couple of big type Pokémon.... But none of them got close to her so she didn’t scream like a banshee... She stopped and took a seat on a rock and used her hand to keep her head off the ground and mumbled a bit being bored.

As she did, the current champion of the Sinnoh and Hoenn regions lurked in the shadows, a young woman named Avery. Like a good champion she didn't really focus on a specific typing or anything, though if asked she prefers grass and psychic types. This ladies name was Avery, and she had recently been looking for a new playmate. The young water type gym leaders was pretty adorable, so she figured she'd be good enough. With a grin she sent out her Swampert, a Pokemon not usually found in Kanto, and while remaining hidden, she had it go to Misty

She heard something in the tall grass and blinked, she took out a Pokeball and grins a bit. She walked inside the tall grass, but the moment she saw the Swampert she screamed at the top of her longs and ran out of the grass screaming. While a boy watched her scream and gets pushed down by her as she ran. “OOF! HEY! WATCH IT!” He growled before dusting himself off but Misty didn’t stop to say sorry.

Avery was rather confused by this. The leader was a known lover of water types so she figured something so rare would be the perfect bait. She sighed and sent out her Starraptor to follow the leader through the skies

She leans up against a tree and sighs softly, she haven’t seen anything so scary before.... She rubbed the back of her head and caught her breath. “..... W-What was that?” She mumbled a bit and sat down under the tree trying to figure out what Pokémon she saw.

(Misty has canonically been to the Hoenn region you know...)
Avery sighed, the girl was really just a big baby. She quietly landed in a nearby tree and returned her bird Pokemon, then sent out an Azumarrill instead, perhaps the girl would react to the much less intimidating Mon more positivrly

She blinked a couple of times at the Azumarrill and her eyes sparkled for a moment before smirking and took out a Pokeball. “Now that’s more like it!” She tossed her Pokeball and send out... Psyduck by accident.

“Pssssyy?” He held it’s head in confusion like always.

“OH COME ON.....” She Bites her lower lip and mumbled, she then shook her head and tried to make the best of the situation. “Whatever..... Psyduck use Headbutt!”

Psyduck turned at her confused again. “Psssssy?”

She internally screamed in her head and rubbed her face in anger.

Avery chuckled at the interaction but certainly didn't appreciate her attitude towards the Pokemon. She silently willed her Azumarrill to use bubble and soak Misty's shorts with it. Which if course, Azumarrill did. Much like the girl know as Yellow, she was born in Viridian Forest so she was able to telepathically link with pokemom

She eeped a bit as she was taken by surprised as her shorts were now completely soaked, she growled at the Azumarrill and picked up the Psyduck. “IF DON’T REMEMBER HOW TO FIGHT.... LET ME GIVE YOU A KICK STARTER!” She three her Psyduck directly at the Azumarrill, while Psyduck still gave a confused look.

Avery was shocked by this and jumped down from her spot, coming into sight and returning her Azumarrill "Young Lady! That is no way to treat a Pokemon." She created a short telepathic link to the Psyduck to help it calm.down, then approached Mistry angrily "You, battle me. If you win I let you go free. If you lose, you must come with me."
