"...A heart attack?" Homura released her grip on Mami and slumped back into the couch. All this time, Homura was on edge, looking out for enemies that were trying to kill her. But in the end, she was going to be done in by her own body? She couldn't believe it. However, she didn't have a choice; the evidence was right before her, so she had to believe. Gathering herself, she looked at Mami with new determination. "Please, Mami Tomoe. If there is anything I can do to prevent my death, I won't hesitate. "

"And that, is where the proposal comes in." She told her, finishing her tea and setting the empty cup aside. "Akemi, I've prepared a therapy session to relieve your stress. Although it may be... Unorthodox and rather weird, I will go help you if you consent. We'll have these once a week, every Saturday."

Stress-reducing therapy...it was as good an idea as any that Homura could have come up with herself. The only cause for concern was that Mami said her therapy was going to be unorthodox. "What kind of therapy is this going to be? " asked Homura slightly nervously. She hoped the treatment wouldn't be too strange.

"Well, I wouldn't put it past you to know what it is. Akemi, do you know what age regression therapy is?" She asked, blushing quite a bit. "It's the most effective, according to study. Although, few actually partake in it...."

Indeed Homura had heard of it. Having spent most of her life in a hospital, she was often exposed to these kinds of things. In a nutshell, age regression therapy was a type of therapy in which the patient acts as if they have become a baby again, often times wearing diapers and engaging in childish play. It is meant to relax people by temporarily bringing them back to the carefree days of their childhood, and as Mami said, quite a few studies found it promising in treating stress. However, Homura did not feel like this was the best treatment for her. "With all due respect, I have better things to do than crawl around in padded underwear like an infant," Homura told Mami.

Mami looked her dead in the eye. "This isn't the first time we've talked like this, Homura." She stated coldly, almost matching her friend's regular tone. "It's the 7th, and every other therapy type has failed. Don't die on me again, please...."

So not only did Homura die at the end of the timeline, but Mami failed to prevent it six different times? The situation was getting more and more serious. As a fellow time traveller, Homura could understand the pain Mami experienced after seeing every failed timeline, and knew that Mami must have exhausted all of her other options before arriving at this point. Homura sighed. "All right, I'll give this age regression therapy a shot," Homura conceded. "For the sake of ending both of our struggles." However, as she agreed to her new treatment every Saturday, something occurred to Homura. "Wait... isn't Saturday tomorrow? "

Trying to lighten the mood a bit, Homura let out a warm smile. "Indeed it is. We'll get through it together, Homura." She stood from her chair, and brought the remaining cup and pot back to the kitchen. "You're free to head home; you need some sleep. And don't worry about the broken cup, it's the 6th one anyway."

She was starting tomorrow? That was so soon! But Homura knew it had to be done. "I-I guess we'll be seeing each other tomorrow then, " Homura said, looking at the floor so that Mami wouldn't see the slight dusting of red on her cheeks. She then started walking out of the house, but stopped and turned around once she reached the door. "Mami, I know how hard it must have been for you to go though all of that. All of those timelines, all of that death... I must thank you." Homura then gave Mami a small but warm smile. "You're a very good friend."

"A blush, smile, and friendship with Akemi Homura on the same day? I'm honoured." Mami responded with a grin, dusting up the cup with a newly aquired dustpan. "8:30 tomorrow morning, be here or be... ok just be here."
