I agree fully with the whole idea of the quality control. There are a lot of edits on this website that are extremely poor quality to the point of being painful to even know that they exist. Especially if some of those artworks were done by an artist you know of on another site and the attempt at editing does not fully emulate the art style which results in a large disruption of immersion (in other words. The editing is bad that you can easily pick up the alterations in the art style and disrupt the train of thought that it was diapered by the artist who made it and not the editor).

Fun fact. Pixiv is considering blocking Western IPs because of all the westerners going onto their website and reposting the artwork elsewhere despite the rules saying not to and many artists on that site deactivating their accounts because its the only way to stop them from doing it as much.

Also as someone who used to frequent the Role-Playing section on a constant basis due to all the RPs I did, I've noticed that there are a lot of people who live in English speaking countries who decimate the English language due to their disregard for Grammar. Now, 9 times out of 10 I keep questioning whether or not these people are underage or intentionally mutilating the language, perhaps some grammar etiquette for the RPing section so people don't jump to conclusions and instantly think Person A is underage simply because of their grasp of language? Also the rules need updating. Really. I've seen a few RPs turned sexual with underage characters and no one has called them out on it... and more moderators to enforce RP rules. I think I know of only one moderator in the RP section.

If it's at all possible, I would be all for the idea of a mature content filter system for people who need it.

While I agree that the rules might need a bit of updating, I'll remind you that there IS a report button there. We cannot act if we don't know it exists.

As for moderators, you're just gonna have to wait for the upcoming applications, when Ai has the time to release the incall and look through the applications thoroughly. I can do it, but it's also his final decision. He likes knowing who's on the team, after all.

True. You are right on that. o w o... but given the size of the RP forum, I doubt people would look in RPs they aren't doing. There are a lot of RPs that just clutter it up and probably take up space on the database probably. A lot of dead ones and stuff. Maybe an auto lock and delete if the thing hasn't been replied to in a while?

Problem with that is from what I understand it would mean people have to willingly flag it as mature content. It's like DeviantArt... a lot of people are lazy, rendering the thing rather... pointless.

Umm I might have a solution to the rp quality problem. I don't think holding the rp community to gun point and ordering them to do better is the best option. But what if we create some kind of skill division, like say split the forum into three levels of ability and users can pick which level to have their rp in. This way we would have the most experienced rpers having a section to themselves free from those who post one liners and bad grammar ,and in turn we would have a section for the new rpers to get a grasp and practice their skills until they cam become better and move up. But this is only a suggestion so don't try ripping into me or anything, just trying to help.

When I started out roleplaying, I got better by playing with people who explained my faults. Roleplaying isn't like art, as in the way people improve. An artist can put work out by themself, and they can be critiqued. A roleplayer can't do a roleplay by themself, and if they tried they would be writing a story, not roleplaying.

If we had a section for new roleplayers, or would need to be filled with questions, sample roleplay posts that can be adjusted, and possibly even character building help. When the good roleplayers (here at least) appeal to the masses, they get more people who are willing to try their idea. New roleplayers seem to like anything, while more advanced role players are picky. The good would wait for better ideas, and the newbies would have plenty of small ideas playing between themselves. I also think it doesn't help them to improve when they see no skills better than their own. I always see better, so I improve, and I hope when I stretch out my skill by posting longer with people who post shorter, that they learn and get better.

As far as sex in roleplays, consensual IS allowed on this site. Though I avoid it anyway for lack of interest rather than rules.

Well at least I'm trying. I mean I've seen other users try to up the quality of rpers but they just get ignored , sure some want to improve but it's just not enough people to make a difference. I also don't think experienced role players want to take the time to take on a newbie. If people want to see better rps they need to make some changes , either help those without those skills or section off part of the forum for them to go about rping without inexperienced rpers. I'm not going to say any more on this. I've made my point and if I say any more all that will come of it is abuse and hate.

I like the majority of ideas posted.The new artists section would be a good idea for two reasons.One it would make things more organized and new artists can get less of a spot light on them,but people would visit it to see the new works/up coming artists.

Also the stories need to be organized by years or by months.The rating system is a good start,but more organization is needed.Perhaps dividing it by anime/genre.We also need more mods on both stories and on the pictures because to much garbage/reposts are occurring and lack of credit is increasing.In my day(08/09) alot of people would comment on the picture to let the poster know it was reposted or no credit was given to the original artist.Nowadays since the new art is so rare we are "allowing" this practice to go on because we want more art and we are walking a tight rope between not wanting to piss off the "suppliers" and giving proper credit where credit is due.I believe it is not to late...What is needed is an overhaul.

Nothing too insane,but organization and cleaning house are on the top of the list.

Just my opinion from an older member who has seen the tides turn...

Maybe put a broder range to it? A lot of artists don't like their art to be confined to one basic thing no matter where they are

You entirely missed what I said. Yes. Consensual sex is allowed on this website. However the characters have to be at least 18. I was referring to the people who have underage characters or obviously underage characters who have consensual sex.
