RWBY: Summer’s Soft Serve (For YkIh and Cbeast24)

It was a few hours after The Fall of Beacon, Neopolitan, also known simply as Neo, was stumbling through the woods, after witnessed the crash of the airship she was searching for Roman Torchwick, hoping her father figure had survived the brutal crash. Unknown to Neo things in her life were about to take a very dramatic turn as she continued to rummage through the debris restlessly in search of the only family she had.

Summer was quietly tending to the plants outside her house. Ever since she'd had to go into hiding from Salem, she'd done nothing but worry for her daughters. Now, with the news of Beacon's fall, she was worse than ever. She was still lost in thought, when she heard a rustling in the distance. She quickly got into her fighting stance, readying for a grimm attack.

Fortunately for Summer she was in no real danger as Neo didn’t even acknowledge her, continuing to search around through whatever debris she could find for Roman. Once the mute was certain he wasn’t around here she began to limp off, deeming the area clear and desiring to search somewhere else. It was hard to say if she had even noticed Summer’s presence.

Even though Neo didn't notice Summer, Summer sure noticed her. It wasn't everyday that after years of isolation, a young girls wanders into view, and just limos away. She began to walk after her and called out. "Hello? Who are you? Are you hurt?"

Neo was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Summer calling her, she turned to look and let out a small gasp when she saw a woman who looked eerily similar to Red as Roman called her, part of her wanted to fight the woman, but she knew she was in no condition, she started to limp off into the woods at a quicker pace, using her parasol as a crutch for her injured legs.

Even with the crutch, she was no match for Summer's speed. She quickly caught up to Neo as she turned her around to get a look at her face. When she saw up close that she was just a young gurl, and that said young girl was injured, she immediately reached to lead her back to her house. "Don't worry, there's no need to be afraid. I'm a friend. Come with me, and we can get those wounds fixed right up in no time."

Neo let out a small squeak, (Which was about as much noise as she could make given she was mute) as she was dragged back towards the house so easily with how strong the woman was compared to the tiny criminal. At first she raised Hush in preparation to attack, but she soon decided against it. She deemed this woman too friendly and clueless to realise who she was speaking to. The mute would take what she could from the woman and escape when she had the chance, atleast that was her plan, unbeknownst to her she was going to get a lot more than she bargained for.

As they approached the house, Summer told her "Sorry. I know it isn't much, but it's enough for me." They headed inside to see a medium sized living area. She took Neo upstairs to a spare room and told her to lay down on the bed. "Go ahead and take your pants off. I saw you limp out there, so it's a good place to start."

Neo looked around the home moderately interested, evidently surprised by how much the strange older woman had managed to get out of such a small space. She allowed herself to be taken upstairs, but looked a little concerned at the bed command, although she did as she was told. Unfortunately the mute shook her head fiercely with a look of panic in her eyes at the next comment, trying to reach for the discard parasol propped up by the bed.

"Relax, we just need to make sure that your leg is ok. And don't worry, go ahead and keep the umbrella, if it makes you feel better." Summer said, rolling her eyes. "With the way you were limping, I'm surprised your aura carried you this far. Where'd you come from anyway?"
