"Cheez. Yeah whatev-GAH! Hey! Back off!" Sonic jerked his tail away. Bacchus looked confused and stood up with a smirk.

"Oh sorry. You must be the misses. I'll leave you alone." He laughed and walked by, drinking from his gourd.

"Sheesh. Strong or not, how does he expect to get far drunk like that?" Shadow grumbled and watched someone else walk by, quiet and focused ahead. "She seems to be collected though."

"Whoa! Look at all the crazy looking people Esp-" Charmy began before a thunderous blast happened behind them.

Charmy pushed through the crowd and saw a large hole there, with smoke rising from it.

"How dare you do that to my friend!" One guy shouted at the large guy with green hair.

"He came at me." Was all the guy said. It was a statement, not a defensive one either.

"If you think I'll let you get away with-!" The man began to charge but instantly, the green haired man did this to him and walked off.

"Oh shut up. Don't flatter yourself. Let's just go stand in our position." Sonic walked off. Everyone was getting ready to stand still for the stadium announcements. "And who cares what she wants? I'm gonna win."

Charmy looked on in interest. "Wow. I don't... COOL!"

The man walked by. "Now, where do I stand..."

The curtains opened from up on high and a high and mighty official sat on his throne, over looking everyone.

"Welcome! It's time we began the preliminary qualifying rounds! Numerous battles will be taking place in simulated open spaces provided by the technology of this stadium. Whoever makes enough points to win and qualify for the next round will do so. The others will be booted out. Remember, losing one fight doesn't mean you don't move on. We go strictly on a points system."

Charmy grinned. "Alright! That means I can kick yours or Sonic's butt tons of times if I wanna." He said to Espio.

Espoo rolled his eyes. "You can certainly try. Though you would definitely fail against me."

Tails gulped. He wondered who would be going up first.

Just then, knuckles appeared on the scene, not even caring that he was late. He knew he was gonna beat sonic anyway. He was just looking forward to him being out in a diaper when he lost.

"Oh poo! I know I have the ability. I totally could!" Charmy grinned and pumped his fists.

"The way this works is simple. We send you all to a simulated area and scatter you all about it randomly. The people that you meet you can choose to make your opponents and what not. Just remember the key is to win enough battles to gain enough points. Losing battles does NOT mean you will be automatically behind or will be close to being kicked out. It all counts on how many you win." The guy said, pressing his staff on a red button.

"With that! You may be off!"

The thousands and thousands of participants were all teleported at once to a vast forest area, scattered all about from one another.

"Positive!" Charmy spoke landing on the platform high above the forest below. "Let's go at it to prove it!"

"Ah-ha! A fox! Gotcha now!" A blonde kid grinned and kicked at Tails from the side.
