"Hmm..." She stood up and started pacing, mumbling to herself. "Well I could use some help in... and then someone could... and If I ever went out to get more..." She finished a walk around the table and sat back down. "Okay, I've got two tests for you, and if you pass them, I'll let you apprentice under me!"

Thomas got his hopes up as he heard that. It was his dream to become Cometa's apprentice. He just nodded at that. "Y-yes, o-of course. I will do e-everything, mistress"

"Oh, you don't have to call me mistress. Only my enemies use names like that!" She giggled a bit. "Ok, first, follow me in here - there's an oven I need lit, and I need to see your way around a wand." She motioned for him to follow.

Thomas nodded and pulled out his wand made of oak wood and with unicorn hair as core. He pointed it on fireplace and made circle move. Fireplace lit with warm and red fire. "H-how was it?"

"Hey, nice! You're pretty good with that." She smiled, seeing the flames wave. "Well, that's test one down! Come on into my alchemy room, test number 2's in there." Thomas could see the butt of her robes were quite... round.

Thomas blinked confused seeing that but it wasn't his deal so he just ignore it. He followed Comet to alchemy room, feeling glad he did so good in his first test. Just one more and his dream will start

She grabbed the bowl of ingredients she was mixing together earlier, and quickly got two other ingredients. "Okay, time to see if you've got alchemy skills - if I'm making a life-restoring potion, would you add a cardinal's egg or some nirnroot?"

Thomas started thinking deeply. He remember that he was learning about alchemy few years ago. It shouldn't be hard. Then, right answer came to his mind. "B-both. You need t-to use f-fresh egg and dried ninroot. But you can't add them in the same moment. You need to add egg first and wait 40 minutes"

Comet was stunned! Only people who already dedicated themselves to alchemy would know the order like that. "Perfect! A lot of people rush them and end up spoiling the whole thing. You passed! I'll take you under my wing." She waved her wand and poofed some confetti out of thin air, a little fanfare playing.
