The Sound of Crinkling Leaves (Private: Mistress and Sami-Chan)

Running, that was all the girl could do. It had been by chance she had learned what her fate was to be, a fate she wanted no part of it. Upon hearing it, she had immediately gathered what supplies and personal belongings she valued and needed most, and high tailed it out of the village.

She wasn't fond of the idea of turning to the tree huggers for help, but like it or not, the Hidden Leaf Village was the best chance Kin Tsuchi had at remaining alive.

A few days prior to Kin's events, Hinata had lost to her cousin, Neji, in the Chunin Exams. The Hyuga Clan saw this as dishonor to them, and therefore ordered for Hinata to leave. She wasn't happy with it, but in the end, Kurenai took her into her care since that day, and has been glad with it, no doubt. Walking down the streets of the Leaf Village back to her home, carrying a bag, she thought about what would have happened if she had won. Would Neji be the one not with the Hyuga Clan instead?

Kin fell to her knees wheezing; she had made it back to the Leaf village. She needed to reach the Hokage tower, where she could trade the information she knew about the invasion for sanctuary. Sweat was pooring off the fourteen year old girl; she had been running non-stop for the past eight hours.

"My, my, my, what have we here?" A voice questioned, causing Kin to freeze. She knew that voice. Looking up, she saw Kabuto standing just outside a nearby alleyway. "Miss Tsuchi, you've been a very naughty little girl. Lord Orochimaru thought you might betray him after hearing you left the village without his permission, which is why he asked me to keep an eye out for you here."

Kin shifted into a defensive stance, pulling several senbon from her pack. "I won't be used as a sacrifice, I refuse!"

"No, you wont be." kabuto said, surprising the girl. "Sacrifices are ninja who will be recognized as heros to our village's history. You will go down as the village's first traitor, and I will be your executioner."

[Sami-Chan]

Hinata heard the small conversation from down below, much to her unfortunate luck. Hearing Orochimaru's name, she quickened her pace. Anything involving that man was very bad news, she had been taught. She only hoped that she wasn't noticed and pretended to not hear them, though if one were to look at her face, they could see that she was clearly nervous and indeed couldn't hide that she had. Hinata tried her best to pass by without drawing the two ninjas' attention.

Kabuto rushed Kin, his hands covered in green chakra scalples. Knowing he was to fast for her, Kin threw down her special senbon needles. pulling the strings and focusing her chakra through it, she activated her illusionary bells technique. Kabuto froze in front of her, though his right hand slashed across Kin's belly.

Kin fell to one knee, and hacked up blood, but kept her jutsu active. Kabuto raised an eyebrow. "A facinating jutsu you have here Tsuchi." He commented. "Causing chemical reactions via sound, instead of chakra, causing hallusinations and paralysis. If this affect was maintained for a longer period of time, the paralysis could become permanent. Add in more reactions, and death would follow too. Not to worry though Tsuchi, I'll make certain your work lives on, through me."

In responce, Kin threw up violently all over Kabuto, a mixture of vomit and blood covering the man. looking up, she grinned as she noticed a bit had gotten into his mouth. Her pleasure was short lived as a jolt of chakra shot through her stomach, causing her to cough up more blood and collapse to one side,releasing her jutsu.

[Sami-Chan]

Hinata sighed in relief as the ninjas' voices were now only muffled noises to her. She didn't know what it was all about, but she couldn't just ignore the situation. Next thing she needed to do was tell Kurenai about what she happen to hear, then Kurenai could take care of it, if needed. Anything having to do had to be bad, so if she kept it to herself, something terrible may happen in the future.

Kabuto spat violently on the ground, trying to get the vomit and blood from his mouth. After a few minutes, He turned to the girl on the ground with a growl. "Enjoyed that did you? You little shit!" He slammed his foot down upon Kin's stomach.

Kin let out a strangled scream. The damage done by the chakra scalple had done a lot of damage to her stomach region. With as much pain she was in, she never felt her bladder and bowels release. Kabuto continued stomping on her for several minutes.

[Sami-Chan]

"K-Kurenai-sensai?" Hinata called out once entering her home, it not being that far away from where she heard the ninjas, thankfully for her. She placed the bag that she was carrying near the loveseat, then called out again. "Kurenai-sensai, are you here?"
If Kurenai wasn't home, then it might be awhile until she would. The ninjas might be gone by then, if she wanted to go investigate latdr.

[Mistress]

"Yes hinata?" Kurenai asked, walking into the living room. She had always thought of Hinata as the daughter she never had, and when her clan had thrown her out, Kurenai jumped at the chance to adopt her.

That said, Hinata was much more withdrawn now then she was when team 8 was first formed. On top of that, she was still recovering from some of her injuries, which did little to help her selfesteeme. kurenai did her best to help the girl, but as long as she was injured, it was doubtful she could begin to heal mentally.

[Sami-Chan]

As with Kurenai, Hinata saw her as the mother she never had, since she never actually knew who her real one was. She was hessitant about taking the offer of living with Kurenai, but was quickly convinced.
"U-um...while coming back from the store..." Hinata quietly began. "...I overheard people on the rooftops, not far from here, and, well...they were talking about Orochimaru, one talking aggresively to the other. I-I didn't know if it was serious or not..."
