Namine followed obediently, smiling slightly to herself as she thought of her knight coming to save her. She had called for him... and here he was! Here, in the castle! She could feel him. There was a bit of an added bounce to her step.

Vexen raised an eye brow. Namine's mood seemed....different than usual. He couldn't exactly figure out what it was. She seemed...chipper. "Now, let's get you back to your room, and then we'll tend to this intruder." As he opened the door to bring Namine to her room, Joey was JUST passing by and both of them stopped in their tracks, immediately seeing each other.

Joey quickly reached for his sword, but he froze. This was due to him taking notice of the strange girl in the white dress. The very girl whom had haunted his dreams for the longest time, and she was standing before him while he was awake. Well he hoped he was awake anyways.

"Tch....So you must be the little delinquent who dares to intrude upon castle oblivion..."Vexen raised a curious eyebrow at the boy as he studied him.

Namine stared at the boy. Her knight, with the same sword she had drawn him with. "You're here." she said to him, and then she smiled. She raised a pale hand and waved shyly to the boy.

As he went to draw his sword, he quickly looked to the right and jumped back as a giant Tomohawk like weapon came crashing down on where he just was, sending a massive tremor throughout the entire floor.

He skidded across the floor for a couple feet before coming to a stop. Now his sword was fully drawn and poised ready to face this foe. "Well...I guess that answers my question about you releasing the girl..."

"Number V..." she said, trembling slightly. "NO! GET OUT OF HERE, YOU'RE NO MATCH FOR HIM! RUN!" shrieked Namine, starting forwards to attempt to help the boy.

"Namine just what has gotten INTO you?" Vexen seemed perplexed at her sudden change in behavior as he reached out and grabbed her shoulders.

Joey stood his ground. "I won't run...I'm too close...I've faced uglier creatures than you!" He glared at Number V, also known as Lexaeus.

"Please! Forget about me, just go!" cried the girl, struggling against Vexen. She stomped hard on her captor's toe.

"AAAH!" Vexen screamed and pulled away out of reflex. "You little brat!!" He growled and summoned his Shield.

Joey charged towards Lexaeus and jumped into the air, swing his sword down over his head.

Namine darted off, but was knocked back by a pillar of rock. Another came up directly in front of the boy. Lexaeus watched silently, only barely moving his hand to send up the pillars.
