Ororo couldn’t hide the look of surprise on her face as she witnessed the frankly somewhat traumatising flurry of memories. Despite their closeness the weather goddess had yet to fully learn the extent of how the firecracker and the original Wolverine had truly met, finding out it had gone like this definitely came as a shock that the older mutant wasn’t anticipating, causing her confident and caring behaviour to falter slightly as once again she couldn’t hide the look of absolute concern regarding Jubilee’s health and happiness on her face, pulling the girl into a slight hug to ensure that she was okay.
Ororo managed to steel her resolve once more however as she saw Jubilee’s past on the streets immediately getting a slight idea on something the duo, and possibly more could do once this darkness was dealt with. “Jubilation, how would you feel about taking a trip to your home at some point once all of this is over? It’s unfair that the experience you have with your culture’s food is such a negative one, we should go there so I can improve your opinion of it. I’ve been there myself on missions before and can tell you that proper food is amazing there.” She suggested, hoping that her charge would be onboard with the idea atleast somewhat.
Ororo simply shook her head, “You wouldn’t kill him Jubilation, even in a scenario such as that, and even if you did I’m sure he would return, he always does.” The woman reassured, once again silently taking note of the mental gang-ups she picked up in order to use them to reraise Jubilee better than she currently was.
Laura swallowed down the guilty feeling of scaring this form of Jubilee and continued, “I… Guess that’s a fair enough reason, it would make sense strategically for us to- AH! Put me down, put me down, put me down!” She cried out fearfully as she was lifted far off of the ground by Jubilee, her method of carrying giving the younger girl an especially awkward wedgie. She flailed around desperately, but was even smaller than usual in her current form, and could do nothing but struggle, which only made things worse. Seeing no other way of moving forward Laura swallowed her pride and practically whispered, “I’m the omega out of us…” Sounding absolutely appalled saying it, she winced and continued, “And I’m adorably cute.”
