"I figured you were curious Cass, mind if I call you Cass? Well, honest to God, I don't know where it exactly came from, but I was investigating it before you kicked my butt." He says. Something about the way he said that made her smirk. "Oh ho ho! We got ourselves a ckcky one. Maybe one day you and I could spar. You know, away from all of this. Away from how they treat you." His expression turns to one of sympathy. "I know it can't be easy. Viewed as a weapon more than a person. How your mother treats you, how I'm guessing she raised you, that isn't normal, it damn sure isn't tolerable. You probably don't fully understand what I'm saying, but I'm sure you can read my body language." He days looking her in the eyes.

Cassandra points to her ears, signing that she understands what he's saying. But she also points to the door of the van and then puts her hand over her heart. The message is clear, this is where she sees as her home and place in the world.

"The world is bigger than you think Cass. You'd never know if you dont step out and see." He tells her before the hums of a motorcycle comes from the distance. Batgirl skids to a stop before jumping up and expanding her cape in an intimidating fashion. She lands as several league bodyguards surround her blades in hand. "Damn it, they're here sooner than expected.' Lady Shiva curses.

Upon hearing the commotion, Cassandra pockets the crucifix, replaces Nightwing's gag, and leaps out of the van drawing her sword.

Zatanna springs forward and starts casting a spell: "Sdrows nrut ot sepor!" All the assassins swords magically turn into ropes, which Megan takes hold of with her telekinesis and uses to wrap up the assassins.

The assassin women rip through the rope with ease to avoid capture. Two of them take on Batgirl who starts off fine, against them she dodges most of their leathal attacks and Zatana's magic keeps them distracted. Cassandra runs in at Zatanna and hits her with a hard palm strike to the gut followed by a Judo slam onto the concrete. She cam out of plumb fucking nowhere from Zatana's perspective. That's why Zatana didn't have time to cast a spell on her.

“T….mmmph,” Zatanna tries to cast another spell but Cassandra stuffs another piece of cloth in her mouth. She raises her hand to strike her again, when Megan seizes her in her telekinesis and raises her into the air, holding her as tightly as possible. “I’ve got this one, help Batgirl! And I can sense Nightwing. He’s in that van,” Megan says pointing

Zatana cringes in pain and gives a thumbs up. She runs off to aid the bat family. Cassandra struggles as she feels someone enter her mind and she opens her mouth. She can't scream since she's mute but memories of the pain her mother and father put her through is resurfacing.

Megan keeps her grip, but suddenly another assassin comes from behind her and she has to let Cassandra go to deflect the new strike. Cassandra plummets to the ground, the sensation of being held like that and the mental strain have clearly unbalanced her, she struggles to correct herself, but fails to stand

Zatana opens the van door and uses a spell to unbind Nightwing "You got captured?" She asks in disbelief. "What can I say? The kid's pretty good." He says as he hops out. They go over to help the other girls. Nightwing takes the time to get a tracker on Cassandra before she can fully correct herself.

With the joining of Nightwing the battle swiftly turns in the teams favor and before long several league assassins are either unconscious or restrained. Before they can close in on Cassandra and the last few, a large van, driven by Shiva plows towards them. The team scatters and all the remaining assassins, including Cass, leap onto the van. It drives into the hidden door, which closes behind them. There are then a series of muffled explosions on the other side, indicating that they filled the tunnel behind them.

Megan lands and turns to Nightwing. "Are you okay?"
