I'm confused by what you mean it's Ore no Imouto all over again. Care to elaborate on that?

A year ago in september 2011 at AWA Aniplex announed a premium edition limited release box set of Oriemo (a.k.a. Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai) October of that year for $80.00. I pre-ordered it thinking it would be an anme most would conversate and enjoy. Well when Aniplex says limited release they mean it because tey only printed the pre-orders. It did have a standard release but that was this passing july, so the only way to get it during thoes months the re-sellers chucked the price up to $1000.00 for the short series. Either way both parties are wrong for doing this (Yes a profit has to be made, but the supply has to be more realistic to profit from a demand).

So this stratigey is being applied again (confimered by a AWA panel I was in) to Bakemonogatari at $150.00.

You should know better than to purchase inevitably overpriced imports from Japan. Be smart and watch anime via other methods such as torrents and online streaming.

But if you think it's morally wrong to do because the anime industry is dying etc then do whatever floats your boat. Burn a hole through your wallet for all I care. Although all I'm trying to do is offer advice.
