Living forever
First let me ask the question, if you had the choice to live forever ... would you? At what age would you want to be? What would you want to do if you lived forever?
Believe it or not, most scientist all agree that the aging process can not only be stopped, but also reversed. Some say that it could even be in as little as 20 years from now by using nano technology.
I would love to live forever because I am very curious and I love technology and progress. I love to see what comes next. I would probably want to look pretty young. Maybe around age 12. If not that young at most age 21.
Now I know someone will mention it causing issues with population. My defense against that, is this. Populating another planet currently seems kinda stupid since it would take many many year to even travel the distance. But if you live forever, that gap is no longer an issue. When you live forever, 100 years may no longer seem all that long. This type of situation already happens, as you age time feels to move faster.

Well if i could live forever and pick the age i stay at i would say 25 because it is young you still know how to have fun you are in the best shape of your life (For most people not all) and on top of that if i could not die i could take over the U.S.A then the world in the name of Anonymous then give people true freedom then remove the Government from the world.
Before you call me a retard make sure you under stand our goal.

hmmm well I'd have to say 12-13. dunno why to be honest. though with that kinda time on my hands I'd be quite busy! I'd travel the world and collect things such as foreign diapers, video games not released in the states and I'd learn different languages!

I would not want to live forever...
While I may be able to master every conceivable talent, then what do you do? Given enough time, you could conceivably do everything... As a matter of fact, you could do everything enough times that you could memorize it. As a matter of fact, the ability to forget things would be the best gift anyone could ever give you. Why? Well read on.
You could become the wisest and smartest person alive, all because you had the time to accomplish it. But then what? Everything would be terribly boring because you couldn't do anything ever again without it feeling old, you have already experienced the most novel things in life more times than you can count, so those have all staled and became boring. If you want to love someone, you are hindered by the fact that they would fade away and you wouldn't. You would gain the attention of others in ways that would be cool at first, but eventually become annoying because it happened so often... Then there's this little fun bit:
Eventually, you will get stuck.
What are the chances of getting buried by a landslide? What are the chances of getting consumed by quicksand somewhere in the Amazon? Not very high right? Well if you lived forever, something along these lines will eventually happen. And then what?
Motionless, uncomfortable restriction, for what will seem to be eternities. Thousands of years could pass with you stuck in these places before people find you, and then guess what? Later, it would happen again, and again, and again, and continue for as long as the Earth remains, and when it ceases, you'll float around space, maybe getting pulled in by a planet if you are lucky.
This would happen forever.
If I had to choose an age, I would choose 21, because I would be able to do most things in most places legally, my body would be in it's prime, and it wouldn't look weird when I had to fend for myself without family.

lol well first of all, your post makes very little sense.
You can't do everything in the world because there will always be new things conceived. What they had in the 1800 is not what we have now in 2013. So how can you say it will be the same in 2150? So I would doubt you would get bored if you remained productive. Also if you had the choice to live forever, what makes you think you will be the only person? There could be countless others who decided to do the same. In which case it be impossible to become the smartest and wisest person since there will always be new things to learn and even if you could learn everything, how long would it take? Im guessing at least 100,000 years if not more.
If you lived forever, that doesn't necessarily mean you will eventually be stuck under a landslide. I mean think about how often that happens and how many people on the planet exist. It's a very unlikely situation to happen. If you where to do the math and calculate it if it was 1 person, the chances of it happening is probably even less then winning the lottery. This is assuming you are no where near where one can happen.
The earth would eventually end, but before that ever happens we would probably already be able to move to another planet if not just simply save earth or relocate it.
Also keep in mind living forever only pertains to age. You can't die from age. It's also possible that you would be immune to most diseases by then as well. But you can still die from unatural causes like a gun shot.

100,000 years is still infinitely shorter than forever. And while it is true that new things would be conceived each day, how long before every combination of things conceived would exhaust itself? We can keep getting more advanced, but eventually there will be limits, and when those limits hit, you'll just keep on going.
And even if you were accompanied by others with similar lifespans, it is still very possible that everyone will eventually get stuck given a certain order of events and whether or not some of them are dicks. Probable? No. But even with the lowest probability imaginable, any event is guaranteed to occur if you give it enough time.
It would improve the quality of life, yes, but it wouldn't change everyone's final fate.

See above regarding probability. tl;dr - No matter how small the probability, anything is guaranteed given enough time.

Even so, similar things that happened on Earth would likely happen in these other locations. And even if they were different, that would still eventually become exhausted.

Aye. When you said "live forever", I thought you meant to "live forever"...
The possibly for a death makes this option a lot more attractive because of the repercussions I mentioned in my previous post with having an absolutely infinite life.
Absolutes are dangerous.
That said, given this option, it would still be tempting, but that would mean that you have a guaranteed death by unnatural causes, which is never cool.
I stand by my answer that 21 would be the best age to remain at because, while it would be cool to be able to regress, it would eventually become incredibly annoying with all of the limitations you'd face if you were permanently a child.

I'd love to live forever, as long as I was able bodied and my mind didn't deteriorate that's all I'd care about. I would want to take the immortality route rather than nano tach, 'cause nano tech you could still die. Immortal I could be super girl x3 It'd be sad when friends died and stuff, but that would be pretty much the only downside I can see for myself

i personally would not want to live forever. just think about it for a moment. what about friends? family? we don't quite realize it, but these things keep us grounded in reality. they remind us that there is a world beyond our own desires and needs. in short, they make us human. if we were to live forever, than those two things would surely lose meaning. i mean, i'm sure all of you have lost someone important to you. it hurts. just imagine having to go through that an innumerable amount of times. now, add on that you, because you're biologically immortal; are able to do little more about it than just sit and watch as that which you love, and cherish wither away, while you yourself remain as you are.
