Background: Born to a teenage mother(also a nezumi-jin), he grew up taking care of himself most of the time. His father was only in the picture for the first year of his life. Being raised by a mother alone, he's grown up to be a fairly... delicate individual, not very masculine. His mother, being Japanese had had her heart set on several sweet sounding japanese names, but conceded to his father's will and gave him his English name.

His mother, being alot like himself, was a fairly small, fragile individual. Being a young lady with limited options, she became a modern day Geisha. (AKA: an escort, going on 'dates' with wealthy men, usually older, some ending in other things, some not.) Little Ollie of course observing this mode of behavior, and as young children do, imitating his only parental figure, and her delicate way of doing just about everything. Her mild attitude, and her soft, light way of speaking.

At age five, His mother's 'job' took a turn for the worse and her dates became less ostentatious and more violent. The pressure became too much and his mother gave him up. He'd been bumped around in his early years to a few homes, and never really latched on to any set of parents. He was transferred to the quinn house for reasons not known to him, but he has suspicions that its because of some problems "getting along" with other kids. (bullying and such)


Hobbies: He enjoys everything musical and almost always has some sort of music playing in his room. Strangely enough, he also enjoys knitting, and finds it very relaxing. Lately he's gotten pretty into sewing, though he's not too skilled at it yet. Oliver Also Genuinely enjoys cleaning and keeping his space neat and tidy.

Clothing and Appearance: Oliver carries himself in a somewhat unsure way most days, keeping his hands clasped together or in his pockets. He doesn't look sad or mopey though, Just lacking confidence. His clothing often reflects his mood or mental state at the moment. If he's feeling especially happy or sure of himself, his clothes are bright and cheerful, often sporting kiddish patterns or a silly character. When he's feeling insecure, His clothes tend to be dull-colored and oversized, like he's seemingly hiding in them.

He wears his hair long both because it suits him, and because that's the way his mother liked it. It parts at the side and layers down to just below his chin. Ollie believes that appearance means alot, so he keeps his hair straightened and as close to perfect as he can most of the time, along with keeping his nails clean and polished. You're not likely to see him looking disheveled or dirty unless it's a very special occasion.

Temper and Personality: Ollie tries to be cheerful and look at the positive side of things when he can. He's easily upset or embarrassed, and doesn't hide his feelings well. He tends to take every emotion to the next degree whether its happiness or anger, or anything else. His mood can shift quickly depending no who's around.

While on the shy side, he will have a conversation if someone else starts it. Females put him more at ease than males. He's more playful with the younger kiddies and feels more comfortable around them, but sometimes he just wants to be left alone, which is okay too. Oliver dislikes loud noises and is easily surprised, but gets over it easily. When in groups, he tends to stick with the one he knows best, and follows the crowd.

Ollie was conditioned from a young age to take care of himself, so when he has a problem, he tends to go to great lengths before asking for help with it. He assumes whoever he asks will be put out or annoyed. If it's a personal or emotional problem, he'll keep it to himself, but he's slowly learning to share those things as well.


School: Oliver Prides himself on his good grades and works very hard to get them. He's no prodigy, but you'll likely never see anything below a B on his report card.

Other things to note:

Oliver's emotions don't change when it comes to spankings and punishments. He takes those to the next level as well, tending to get too upset or worked up, at seemingly small things. He'll hang on tightly after them for as long as the spanker is willing to do so. >>

Ollie's gotten a bad habit of trying to guilt or flatter his way out of punishments, even going so far as to force tears. Be wary. He is a trickster.

Horror Movies are a no-no! Ollie scares pretty easily, and is likely to be more afraid of them than the kids in the house would be.

The sight of blood makes him woozy x.X

Ollie knows about a three year old's vocabulary in Japanese, learned from his mother. Its mostly baby talk, so don't ask him to translate anything!

He loves the summer, but Oliver is sensitive to cold weather, and hates being outside in the winter, but will tough it out for a snowball fight, as long as he is bundled up...
