Princess Celestia, heiress to the land of Equestria, keeper of the sun, and voice of reason to many, had a headache. Not the kind of headache that could be staved off by pills or herbs, no this headache was standing in front of her, in the form of a pony.
Celestia sighed, "For the last time Rainbow Dash, this is for the best." She could feel a real headache coming on in her temples as she argued with the small blue pony in front of her.

"It's the best way to learn how to control your new...abilities..." thankfully for the Princess of the Sun she had her faithful student, Twilight Sparkle by her side. Celestia smiled to the unicorn before looking back at the belligerent pony before her. In any other situation she would have laughed at how similar she and the element of loyalty were. Both were stubborn to the point of fault and wouldn't back down from what they thought was right. It was a trait expected to be shared between a mother and her daughter.

Celestia closed her eyes and rubbed her temple with a hoof. "Listen, it will only be for awhile once you learn to gain control of your newfound magic." She opened her lavender eyes to gaze upon the newest alicorn to join the ranks of Princess Celestia and Luna.

"I even took the liberty of pulling the records of all of the kids in the class, so if any of them misbehave I'll have the full power of the PTO involved!" Twilight Sparkle grinned widely in a way that made Princess Celestia shudder for the sanity of her star student.

"...Yes, well hopefully it won't come to that." Celestia stated before walking up to her daughter and kneeling down a bit. "I know you don't want to go to Magic Kindergarten, but both I and Twilight think it's best for your studies to continue." She told Rainbow Dash.

Celestia wrapped a large white wing around the smaller alicorn. "Thank you, from the bottom of my heart thank you Rainbow Dash." She smiled uneasily. Ever since finding out she was the illegitimate daughter of the princess of the sun, Rainbow Dash had been less than warm and fuzzy.

"I'll get started on getting a school supply list together! Oh, I love back to school shopping!" Twilight bounced on her hooves excitedly before disappearing through the door, naming off things they would need to buy.

Time went by, as it often does and Rainbow Dash found herself standing in front of the doors to the school of magic.

"Okay, you've got a backpack, pencils, paper, notebooks, a binder for organizing, notecards, highlighters and your lunch. Is there anything else you need?" Twilight Sparkle asked as she read off of the list she had of the things Rainbow Dash would need for her first day at school.
Celestia stood next to Twilight and smiled warmly at Rainbow Dash.

"I'm sure you'll do fine." The princess stated.
