It was a quiet morning in Kanto, and trainers were beginning their journey by picking up their new Moemon partners. Professor Elm was in his lab waiting for the newcomers, with many choices of Moemon in the room behind him, fast asleep. What was a 'Moemon' you ask? Moemon were a recent discovery in science, in which people discovered they could make Pokemon into half-humans, or 'Gijinkas'. Most Pokemon were now Moemon, and everyone seemed to be perfectly fine with it.

Jenna, a young 12 year old girl waited patiently as she stared at the adorable sleeping Moemon and knew exactly what she would choose. The water Moemon squirtle. That was until at least until she discovered it to be gone. She cursed her stupidity for oversleeping and surveyed the room of Moemon until she settled her eyes upon the most adorable little green haired girl she had ever seen dressed in a beautiful white ball gown. She the Moe-ist Moemon to ever Moe. Jenna needed this one. Quietly she walked up to the adorable little girl and slowly roused her from her sleep. "Um hi there" she said quietly as not to startle the now barely awake Moemon.

" Uuu~... " The little green-haired girl whined softly as she woke up from her slumber. She opened her eyes to reveal light blue irises, and quickly noticed that someone she didn't recognize was standing near her. " U-Uwah-- " She squeaked nervously, quickly sitting up. " ... H--Hello... "

Professor Elm walked into the room after Jenna had entered. " That would be a Ralts Moemon, she's a very shy but gentle little girl. " He explained.

Jenna just giggles and moves back a couple steps to give the young girl her space. "Well hello Ralts do you have a name?" Jenna said hoping to break the ice and show this adorable little girl that she was no threat. "I'm kinda shy to so let's go be shy together" Jenna stated punctuating it with a huge smile on her face. She then reached out a hand "Would you like to be my friend?" Jenna had never liked the word partner it was distant more than anything she wanted a friend she could rely on for the journey she was about to set out on. "Professor Elm I choose Ralts, well if it's okay with her that is."

" Mmn... M-My name is M-Melody~. " The small Pokegirl said softly, giving a shy smile. " I-I would love to be your friend..! " She added as she gently grabbed Jenna's hand. Jenna was technically her first official friend, she was often too quiet for the other Moemon to notice her.

" A wonderful choice, young lady. " Professor Elm smiled, grabbing a small bag of supplies and a pastel-colored Pokedex. " These are for you. "

"Oh cool So what do I get in the bag" Jenna asked painfully unaware of the task that she had just taken on. Obviously she wouldn't need to check inside for a while so she simply took out her Moedex and scanned her new found partner. Dexter began to read off the Moemon's description. "RALTS has the ability to sense the emotions of people. If its TRAINER is in a cheerful mood, this Moémon grows cheerful and joyous in the same way" Wow so you can like read my emotions and stuff awesome! Cmon I'm excited so let's go on an adventure! Taking Melody's hand Jenna was just about ready to head out the door to discover the wonderful world of Moemon. "Well" Jenna said her eyes twinkling as she looked at Melody "lets take our first step together."

"Well silly normally we put one foot in front of the other." Jewel said sticking her tongue out cutely. "Hey Professor anything else we need before we take our first step into greatness?" Jenna asked panicked almost out of a sudden remembrance that she didn't even know the first thing about Moemon.

It's a little strange, but I've provided things that you'd probably associate with a baby--Diapers, bottles, changing supplies, the like. And that's because your Moemon is similar to a baby and must be cared for as such. "
