Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my experience with a great game I just finished playing this afternoon.

It's called Cave Story, for the PC. Its graphics are 8-bit, but the story and dialogue is awesome. If this game was made for the NES back in the day, it'd have probably been a best-seller.

It's a side-scroller about a robot who finds its way on this floating island. He soon finds that there is an evil force trying to wreak havoc on Earth through use of Mimigas, rabbit-esque creatures.

I don't want to give away the entire story, so I'll just suggest that you check it out and play it. It's free, but you do need to download a patch to translate it into English. To my knowledge, the game took 4 years to create, and it has a really addictive soundtrack.

Oh I absolutely loved the Game, the Mimiga were ridiculously cute! And the villains were so fond of punching the player in the gut with emotional blows. The secret, second ending that's a pain in the but to get, crazy extra hell level. I HATED it, could never beat the final final boss.
