Tamia Gold nervously began to walk up the driveway of the huge manor known as "Couche Sale." It was once a manor owned by a French family many years ago, but it had of since been abandoned after the family that owned it disappeared. Since their disappearance it had been sold many times, with many of the people buying it either disappearing, or running away screaming into the night. Since then it had become an urban legend and no one dared spend the night there. Until tonight that is.

Tamia has always been a rather easily suggestable human. He was 21 and went to the local community college of their town. He was usually a loner, but lately had begun to hang around a group of friends. Though he enjoyed hanging out with them, they often called him a coward, because he didn't like to take any risks. He ignored it at first, but it had grown on him a lot, until he decided to do something crazy. He bet all of them 100 bucks that he couldn't spend the night there. So now, groaning about his stupid idea, he carried his bags up the hill, heading to the house.

Jennifer Hamkya sighed to herself as she followed Tamia. Thanks to her big mouth and tight wallet, she had decided to join him in this little stunt. She didn't believe in ghosts or this stupid mansion being haunted, but her stubbornness and willingness to go along with a joke to its end led her to this situation. She had a sleeping bag with her, as well as a small toiletries bag with some bottled water inside, but otherwise nothing else. She didn't know Tamia too well, and didn't talk too much with him on the way up to the home. It wasn't that she didn't like him, he seemed nice enough, but she'd have preferred someone she knew a bit more to come up with her. Haunted house or not, she'd have at least been able to enjoy a little sleepover with one of her friends, rather than the new guy. "So uh... still planning on going through with it?" She asked, brushing her brown hair from her face as they reached the porch. "I wouldn't blame you, the house is kinda creepy up close." She shivered as she reached for the doorknob to open it up.

"Not a chance," Tamia said stubbornly, looking at the huge house up close. Supposidly it had over 5 stories spread out through it, as well as multiple basements. Such a building would cost a fortune to build today. He then got the other door knob and pulled hard, hearing the wood creak as it was pulled open. Glancing inside, he found it to be very dark and musty The enteranceway was mostly barren, with multiple staircases coming from it and a large hallway down the middle. In the center of the enterance room was a large painting of a man and his wife, looking down at him. He shivered, as a sudden wave of cold went through him before disappearing. "Hmmm, wanna go explore a little," He asked, heading towards the hallway, leading deeper into the manor.

Jen looked deeper inside the mansion and nodded, "Yeah, beats staying out here all night..." She mumbled, stepping inside and shutting the door behind her. She tried fishing through her bag for a little flashlight she had brought, though with how large this place was inside she was beginning to wish she had brought another two or three flashlights. Not that she was afraid of the dark... more that she didn't quite know if there was anyone who might be squatting the house and might not appreciate a couple college kids coming in and spending the night. "What do you think they did with such a huge house? Throw really huge parties or something?" She asked, shining her flashlight up and down the walls as they headed further in away from the entrance.

"Probably," Tamia said with a shrug, appreciating the flash light. "Well, lead the way since you have the light," He said, pointing down the hallway.

He glanced at all the pictures as they went by. It was creepy, they all seemed to be from a different era of history. And their eyes, their eyes seemed to follow them wherever they went. Unsure, he glanced as they reached the end of their hallway, finding that it branched off in two different directions, as well as having multiple doors coming off it.

"You didn't bring anything to light the place up?" She looked back at him and shook her head, "Alright, just... try not to trip over anything, alright? I don't want to have to carry you around some stupid house all night." She smirked, carrying her bags with her as they headed down the hallway. "Alright, my navigator... which way should we go?" She looked up and down both hallways, both seemed to be fine ways to go down.

"Hmmmm, how about you go one way, I'll go another," He said with a smile. "I know I didn't bring a flashlight, but it should hopefully be light enough for at least a little bit to guide me until we meet up again." He then gave her a nervous, but joking wink before starting to walk down the right hallway, into the darkness that was this old decrypted house.

"Uhh... If you're sure..." She mumbled, shaking her head as he walked off down one way. The left halfway was hers, apparently, as she headed down with a few creaky floorboards announcing her way. She scanned up and down the walls with the light, unable to really see into any of the rooms. Eventually, she decided to go ahead and try a door when the hallway turned a corner. Her head and the flashlight poked in as she slowly followed them in.

The room she had peeked her head into was an old bedroom apparently. The bed was covered in dust, but otherwise looked as though it had never been slept in. The walls were covered in green wallpaper, and the room was equipped with a wardrobe that was seeminly shut tight. As she walked in, a strange thing happened. A green arrow appeared in the air for a moment, pointing at the wardrobe, before disappearing in that instant.

Across the manor, Tamia wandered deeper down his halleywall, before stopping at what looked like an old dumulator. It was a small elevator that was used by the servants to transfer laundry to the basement. Curious, he opened the shaft, and peeked down inside it.

Jen didn't really think much of the room that she was in, although she questioned the choice in decor. When was this place built? "Wha!?" She gasped, startled by the arrow, backing up into a small table before it disappeared. "Very funny, guys..." She mumbled, thinking it must've been some sort of light trick. Sill, she was drawn to the wardrobe, and began tugging on its doors to open it up.

Aside from a few cobwebs that lined the walls of the shaft, Tamia wouldn't have been able to see much of anything. Strangely though, there appeared to be a slight glow coming from the very bottom. Enough of a glow that Tamia might be able to make out the shape of a large bin, filled with what might've been old clothes. The smell wasn't exactly the greatest, but since he was so far up, there were things far worse in locker rooms.
