I'm Starting To Feel Outdated. RP Dilemma Topic

NOTE: Wasn't exactly sure where something like this would go so I just took a guess.

So I now that I've been MIA on hear for a LONG time and as such i haven't gotten to rp with a lo of the new folks and some of the older ones I used to rp with have left. That being said I'm starting to feel like my style of RP's and such are outdtaed. What i mean is that I do mostly Anime basied rp's and the anime I do best in and feel more comfortable rping seem to more or less be a dead topic on hear now which I can understand I guess. Naruto is over so i guess people's interest in rping about it are more or less gone. Bleach has been getting more and more hate and fans have been getting more and more sparce. DBZ never really had a big rp base anyway. And the other anime I like to do as well as the few games I can do don't seem to get any love so I'm just kinda dead in the water now. Its frustrating to no end since back before I had my long leave I was very involved in rping and had lots of friends on hear who lied the same stuff and now I'm just kinda the odd one out amung every one else. My drive to rp is there but do to what I like to rp about and how I Rp i don't really get asked to rp about anything and if I do the plots I get asked about are fare to for lake of a better work bad. I'm not against simple plots but I need to be able to see where the plot will go in my head to really get into it. I also noticed that theres way to much desire for sexual stuff in a lot of them and while I'm ok with some being there I refuse to make it a huge focus unless the rp is about said pairing itself. and even then when I say i don't do male x female stuff people just either stop asking or try to get it in there in some other fashion despit the fact i said no.

Long story shot I feel like someone from the past that's just stuck in the middle of everyone else and Is feeling more or less ignored and fogotten to a certian extent.

To be fair I'm starting to feel the same way in the fact what anime and most other stuff I want to rp about almost no one is interested in and yeah it seems lately there is more interest in the sexual stuff rp wise atleast what rps that at first seem interesting to me I skim and some of the more active people rp wise seem to want more sexaul stuff. I'm fine with that at times but it can get old fast . Sure I can get in the mood for sexual rps at times but that isn't really that often .

Hey I know what you all mean too. While I definitely haven't been a member as long as either of you, I haven't watched much, and honestly I have sex more when I really can't think of anything to do. That said, I also rp differently than you all as well in that I don't do paragraphs often. But all of the anime you mentioned Lazuli is the main stufr I do, as my only exposure to any anime really is Adult Swims toonami program

Guys (And gal), so what if things have slowed down with the kinds of RPs that you each like to participate in? There are other activities here to keep you entertained like viewing and positively or constructively critiquing the artwork in the gallery, playing the various [thread] games and engaging in interesting intelligent conversations (Via VMs, PMs, polls [You seem to be good with creating polls, Lazuli] and/or in the threads located in the General and Creative sections). As someone who has been here longer than any of you (No, I don't feel old despite that fact!) and who has seen many good friends and acquaintances come and sadly go over the years, I urge you not to abandon this site just because the RP aspect for either of you is waning - There's more here for each of you than just RPing! It would be a shame if any of you left as you each have certainly contributed to the "style" of this site with your presence over the years! This site wouldn't be the same without either one of you!

I'm not going to leave and I do participate in all but being a critique(as I suck at that one thing) and art(but I give advise or help in that matter ) I just miss some aspects that brought me to the site in the first place

Well my RPs aren't waning or anything, all I was saying that I could relate. Most anime I watch aren't new, and everyone wants to use the new stuff. One big solution I have for this, though I'm sure you all do it as well, is simply do more OC rp's. Instead of using anime plot points, let that inner writter shine and show off unique ideas

The biggest thing everyone here needs to note is that DiaperedAnime isn't getting as much traffic as it once did. Check the rp recruitment section. When things were going hot, you would see a page of new recruitments going up.

With not at many people playing, or being busy with other things, there's not as many people to play with.

As far as canon play goes, after the traffic to DiaperedAnime died down a bit, the ideas became more scarce. Certain animes caught people's attention, and that became the most requested one in the recruitment section.

Lazuli, we're in a very similar boat, and you shouldn't feel forgotten or left behind. I'm currently catching up with animes I never watched, and watching new ones. So even if you latched onto a brand new anime, the chances are you might not even get to play that with anyone.

I've found it harder and harder to find a place with a plethora of diaper rp'er's. Foxtalestimes was good until it slowed to a crawl. This place is good at times and slow at times, and there are other outlets, but nothing is really like a "hub" for diaper rp at the moment.

Well In my case I spend most of my time on hear rping. the stories that are uploaded nowadays have been rather well....lets just say I dislike them. and most of the art that gets uploaded is not my thing. I don't use the chats either.

Remember the old saying: "You can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time." It's just like what Kakarot said in his previous post, there will be times when this site is full of the kind of activity that you enjoy and times when that is not so. You just have to stick with it and wait for things to "Pick up" (Appeal to you) OR you can try to generate others' interests in the things that you like (e.g. Going by the DBZ theme in your overall profile, DBZ RPing - I'm just using it as an example, I know you said that DBZ never had a big RP base here) by increasing its prescence in the site. You can try to find and then contribute DBZ character diaper pics (e.g. Lazuli, Bulma, Chi-Chi, etc. IMHO, A picture of Pan diapered would be interesting to see [AR'ed would be even better]) to the gallery, write or find DBZ ABDL stories to share in the creative area (That would be something new for you to try) and "Drum up" more ABDL conversations about DBZ via VM, PM, threads and polls (I know you've been trying the last part very hard with your polls). As DBZ's presence increases more and more throughout the site, perhaps then there will be enough interest generated in DBZ, so that more people will want to participate in DBZ ABDL RPs with you (Again, I'm just using DBZ as an example. This could apply to any anime in which you're interested). It will take some doing on your part to get it all started though. You need to "Set the stage" if you want to see the RPs that you desire happen. Only you can decide if it's worth trying in order to mold this site into a place that appeals more to you. Whatever you decide, I hope that you'll stay for a while. Like I've said in my first post in this thread, I've seen many good friends and acquaintances come and sadly go over the years (It's sort of eerie and sad - Their abandoned profiles kind of serve as monuments/memorials of friends that were once with us but are now long gone [Yes, It's sort of like looking at a tombstone]). I'll miss seeing you around if you really choose to leave.
