In Transit: Automated Facility (Private for MingleMonster)

Chloe entered the post office, wondering what was so special about it. The 22 year old woman was led in by her friends, who told her that the post office was neat...but Chloe just thought that it was plain post office. She didn't know why her friends so wanted her to check it out as she was dragged inside.

"Ugh, come on, Chole!" Veronica barked with a heckling tone, tugging her friend inside a little further. "There's less than an hour left! They say it's hard to get around the whole place within four, so we'll miss out on the whole thing if we're not quick."

"We spent too long at the Boba-Shop... Again." Said Mary, who rolled her eyes into a glance at Veronica. "We would have had twice as long to check out the floor if you didn't drag your feet."

"Hey! That's no fair! The line was long, and Chole and I wanted some!" Veronica huffed, looking back over at Chole for support on the matter. "And... It's not like we'd even know that the automation floors were open to public viewing today if we hadn't gone... Pre-Holiday special, right?" She asked to nobody in particular, and it didn't seem that Mary was keen on giving her the response as she opened up another door for the girls to pass deeper into the facility, now nearing the usually off-limits automation floor.

"Hey, I don't even know what's going on here! What's so exciting that you're dragging me out into a post office of all places!?" Chloe asked her friends as they entered the automation floor.

Mary turned around as they stopped at the checkpoint door, which had a booth next to it that was currently unoccupied - after all, it was public view day. "Ugh, do you remember the flyer? This place was built forever ago as some sort of... I think it was a vegetable factory or something? Anyways, ever since it's been reopened as a post office only post employees have been allowed onto the automation floor." She explained, taking a moment to look around for someone to check them in.

"Guess there's no sign in list..." Victoria said in examination, looking around herself following Mary's example.

"...Not like large-scale automation is anything unique in this day and age, but for some reason it just wasn't allowed." She shrugged. "But you know Victoria..."

"When I'm not allowed somewhere, that's where I wanna' be!" Victoria chirps excitedly, almost cutting Mary off. Mary let out another sigh in response and took it upon herself to pass through the doors into the automation floor, assuming the two other girls would follow suit themselves.

"Okay Chole, lets go see the dirty deeds!" Victoria said in a harsh whisper, as if they were going to get the scoop on some sort of big story.

"O...Okay..." Chloe told Victoria as she entered the door, she didn't want to be here but she would do it for her friends.

Victoria held the door for Chole, letting her walk passed into the short hallway that clearly opened up into a far larger room. Catching a glance at Chole's expression, Victoria let go of the door and trotted to her, tapping her shoulder.

"Hey... Why the expression, Chole? Got a phobia for guys in mail-man uniforms or is your Boba setting wrong?" She asked, cocking her head a bit at her semi-short friend. "Mary's gonna' do that thing where she leaves us behind again..." She sighed, a light annoyance at Mary in her voice, clearly tired of the headstrong girl's constant disengagement from the group to wander.

"It's nothing Victoria, we should catch up to Mary." Chloe told her as she ran off to try to catch up with Mary.

Even though Chole adopted a pretty brisk pace, she couldn't have expected Victoria to blow past her in a quick stride. "If you say so, Chole!" Victoria giggled as she passed, quickly sprinting passed her friend. Apparently being on the track team for six years of your school life makes your minimum speed a cut above.

The room was huge, but they were on the open side of it to the right of all of the mechanization. Packages, boxes, envelops and all sorts of things were being carted about right in front of Chole, but she'd likely be more concerned with her group right this moment.

From a small office terminal, a figure adjusts their glasses as they unregister a camera from the main feeds and uses their new rogue eye to zoom in on Chole, studying her, mostly focused on her face and hair at the moment...

Chole had tried to catch up to her friends, but as she entered the room they're nowhere to be found. "Hey Mary! Victoria! Where are you guys?" Chole called out as she hoped that they would answer.

The only thing there to greet Chole was more conveyors, and even then they weren't rolling out a red carpet as they went about doing their own thing. She'd notice as a package went to fall off of a belt that it was caught by a mechanical arm on it's way down and placed back onto the belt - it must have weighed forty pounds from the size of the box, but the hand didn't even look like it was rattled - which begs the question on exactly how much weight each one of those things could bear.

The camera studied up and down the woman's body, creating a one-way show for the user. "Hmm... I wonder if the carpet matches the drapes?" Spoke a feminine voice under their breath, giving her pants a little zoom before panning back up to look into her face again.

Meanwhile, back down on the floor, Chole had all but lost her friends. This has happened before, but very rarely was she left entirely alone like that... It must be disheartening. That, and there was that glaring camera - too far away for the girl to really understand what was watching her, but she might still feel a little watched...
