Jubilee just had to have the bad luck of going to handle a mutant that got the better of her and her timelines Hank seemed too calm about it when she was tossed into a portal made by this mutant and didn't seem worried when she was ensured trapped unknown to her Hank is calm as he trusts Jubilees skill in this case to work along and handle the matter


''No cell phone or net service dang it '' Jubilee said when she checked her phone ignoring the looks she was soon getting from her clothes and manner of speaking but when she seen teens at a malt shop and it doing booming business she had to do a double take and look at a new papers date'' This is heavy'' Jubilee knew no one outside of who has seen what in this year would be a fairly recent movie would get the reference of Back to the future that is if the phrase isn't common.

''Thankfully I know someone who can help, please let this work '' Jubilee muttered this to herself as she went into the maltshop where she opened up a tab then she looked at the younger version of the Blue furball she knows from her time '' Hello , do I know you? '' Jubilee was trying to play this cool and break the ice with this younger Hank as she waits for a vanilla malt and cheese sandwich seeing as they are the cheapest things on the menu that seems to be something the teenagers are eating and in style currently. Plus she doesn't want to cheat a business out of that much money.

While Beast would normally be concerned about whatever situation Jubilee was getting involved into... he felt a strange relaxed euphoria come over him as he watched Jubilee vanish into the event horizon of the temporal gateway. Jubilee's dealt with stranger situations anyway and right now they had to worry more about taking down this particular Super-Villain before worrying about Jubilee.

Meanwhile, back in the past Jubilee found herself in Hank's hometown of Dunfee, Illinois. Maybe the villain had originally intended to throw Beast in? And speaking of Beast... the teenage furball was sitting alone in a booth with a bunch of school books spread out in front of him. From the oversized glasses, childish He-Man T-Shirt, and Cargo Shorts he looked like your typical nerd other than the fur.

Hank looked up at Jubilee, pushing his glasses up on his feral nose. He looked so much younger than Jubilee likely even could imagine he would. "My Mommy doesn't like me talking to strangers." There was some snickering from other people in the malt-shoppe given the somewhat juvenile sounding comment from Hank. It seemed so different from the mental image Jubilee likely had of young Beast.

Oh Jubilee indeed had the image of a strong imposing Jock that stood up for the nerdy and smart people for being just as smart but this wimpy looking nerd version shattered as she frowned abit '' We all was strangers once to another person '' Jubilee quipped back but sighed abit looking at the titles of the books on display '' Besides you must be the smartest in school, can't you atleast spare some time to socialize if that's close to the truth? ''

Jubilee unaware if Walkmen are a thing in this time and so took a chance slipped her headphones into view on her neck and hidden in her coat pocket turned on her mp3 player as she is sure the charger she carries she can charge it in secert if need but she is testing the waters seeing as her headphones would be practically alien to this time period even if headphones exist here given she had her times most modern set on her,thats why they'd be almost alian, this was to see if that would get this teenage Hank to atleast be interested enough to chat with her. Mainly for she hopes Hank also in this time is into tech as she doesn't want to change time that much so wants to keep changes limited or as limited as she can atleast

While the Jock thing was factual that was a little later in the timeline... and this was a period which Hank didn't talk about too much. He was still a muscular teen but didn't seem to have the confidence that Jubilee was familiar with from the adult version of Beast. Hank paused some at Jubilee's logic and cocked his head... thinking about what she said. "I guess so. Okay." One of the older teens chimed in while overhearing the pair talking. "Smartest kid in daycare maybe." Which caused some laughter from the rest of the older teens who were here.

Beast looked embaressed and shy and started chewing on his thumbclaw out of habit. But Jubilee watched as Hank made a gross-out face and stopped a moment later. "C'mon guys... it's not funny anymore." Hank whined just a bit and looked embarrassed towards Jubilee. "Sorry... umm, what uh... what did you wanna talk about." Hank watched Jubilee fuss with her headphones and seemed incredibly fascinated by them.

"Please to meet you Ms. Jubilee. My Mommy calls me Henry, but you can call me Hank." Hank offered with an extend of his hand towards Jubilee. She likely could tell his thumb claw had some sort of clear polish on it. It wouldn't take a genius to figure it was meant to stop kids from chewing or sucking their thumbs. This only likely made Jubilee have even more questions about this time period's version of Hank.

''Putting others down is a sign of lower intelligence '' Jubilee retorted to the teens making fun of Hank as it seems this current Hank lacks the confidence needed for truly standing up for oneself and she can't harm them as that could adversely affect the timestream

Despite this she smiled gently as she was being talked to this Hank is cute in a nerdy way and she is glad her minor headphone trick worked'' Well it can wait abit when less people are around so we both can talk without jerks around on that matter Hank.'' Jubilee offered as she took a sip of her delivered malt'' So what had they been putting you down about? Is it a side effect of the X-gene '' Jubilee is unsure if the term X-gene is around yet or term mutant but she is sure this Hank could piece together the is in reference to the fact he isn't normal and thus referencing a gene mutation'' Not that I'll judge either way just trying to know so I can properly insult them later if they bother you while I'm around. '' Jubilee explained and raised a eyebrow at the thumb claws on Hanks hands with the clear polish of some kind

''Yellow x's ontop of black would look better on your clawnails'' Jubilee said nicely before she could stop herself as she shook Hanks hand

Hank couldn't help but giggle under his breath at Jubilee as she stood up for him. "Y-yeah!" Hank smiled and then stuck out his tongue at those who were teasing him. Though Jubilee could tell Hank standing up for himself wasn't a regular thing. "We could always go to the playground and talk if you want?" Hank shyly suggested as he started shoving his books away into a backpack in case she said yes.

Hank paused though when Jubilee started asking him why people were teasing him. Shyly looking down at his lap to the questions. "You'll make fun of me too." Hank shyly offered, expecting Jubilee to tease him also. "But I..." Hank shyly rubbed the back of his head...kind of ashamed to tell this new possible friend about his accidents. "It's not polish. My Mommy puts it on me." Hank noted while shaking her hand.

Jubilee smiled at Hanks behavior it reminds her of a little kids among other less mature people even herself has behaved like that as she was about to instinctively chide in on the matter of Hank provoking the older teens she stopped herself .

Jubilee sighed as she leaned into Hank'' If its control problems I have a bit of a potty pants problem myself '' Jubilee whispered to Hank serious as can be as she still wears some thin padding more for she has mirror trouble from once and awhile having accidents while getting her control fully back from her last X-baby regression , granted its rare she has accidents now its still a thing that happens ''Maybe we should talk to her adding some style then as any girl can tell your thumb claws are treated with something and you are cute already , you'd be even more so with style '' Of course Jubilee in this time has little to no style. In fact she looks more like a young child who dressed themselves in this time instead of her own time style

''As for a playground , please lead the way. ''Jubilee quickly drank her malt and grabbed her sandwich to eat on the go

Beast blushed warmly behind his fur to the whisper from Jubilee... looking very embarrassed in regard to the topic being discussed. Hank seemingly worried that someone might have overheard the whisper from Jubilee hurried up and stuffed the rest of his books into his bag and got up from the booth in the diner.

Hank took Jubilee's hand and gave it a squeeze while leading her to the door. Once they were outside Hank looked surprised at Jubilee. "You have accidents too? But you're such a big girl!" Hank looked surprised by this since he was the only person he knew who did... or at least admitted they did. Hank blushed even more.

Hank began leading Jubilee to the playground a they talked. "It's not supposed to be stylish... " Hank shyly noted as he looked up to Jubilee. "It's supposed to stop me from chewing my claws or...uh... sucking my thumb." Hank sheepishly whispered. "Mommy says I can only use my teething ring and pacifier." Hank noted to her.

Jubilee let out a rather interesting laugh from Hank calling her a big girl as she never expected to ever hear that while not a X-baby from him m sure its in the past but still it triggered a laugh'' Long complicated story short I'm X-gene active myself just look normal in this case'' Jubilee sighed as she'd love to give spoilers in this case but can't. Jubilee will let Hank though set on that fact for awhile and assume its her X-gene that caused it when she isn't got the problem from that'' But yes I have such a problem''

''As for stylish? Things can serve a proper purpose and look good. Thats why I brought it up '' Jubilee offered but then blinked '' You're joking right? a teething ring or pacifier? Whatever I won't judge you must be cute using them'' Jubilee remarked already thinking about abing Hanks ' Fairy Godmother '

'' Now this may sound weird but I need your help '' Jubilee said as she gulped'' I'm not from around here and kinda stuck currently'' Jubilee shuffled her feet abit'' I can do alot to repay you in exchange for help''

"I don't know anyone else in town who's a mutant like me. That's kinda cool." Hank beamed warmly up at Jubilee as he squeezed her hand even tighter. Hank's mind was buzzing with curiosity about the new mutant girl who seemed to actually want to be his friend. Hank turning to continue leading her to the playground. "Did you just movie into town? Do your parents know about your accidents?"

Hank paused some and dug in one of his pockets, pulling out a pacifier that looked like it was well loved. "I usually keep my teether at home, but see!" Hank held it up to show to Jubilee. It seemed Hank at this age was more childish than Jubilee expected. "Awww...." Hank blushed and toe scuffed at Jubilee commenting that he must be cute with them. Though he had no idea of the thoughts in her head.

"You need my help?" Hank asked looking a bit skeptical. "I'll do whatever I can to help. I guess that means your parents aren't here?" Hank asked with a heavy frown on his face and then stepped close and gave Jubilee a great big hug. "Do you have a place to stay? I bet my Mommy will let you stay. She has been talking about hiring a babysitter for me lately." Hank looked rather devious as he plotted.
