In a time and place not too different to the main timeline Hanks past is where if looked into you'd believe some time travel or time displacement had happened when in truth its just a odd variant in the multiverse where Hank and Jubilee are both in the same year as teens … The perfect age for young love to form and Jubilee is of course being shipped to Hanks home town orphanage for a near constant in the multiverse is the place is one of the least bigoted towns around.'' I didn't even get a say in this '' Jubilee huffed as she took her stuff from the ride she was given and currently she had a oversized red shirt and hidden under it is a pair of shorts while having stripped long tube socks on and some yellow shoes on lets not forget the gloves she has on at all times for reasons that will be clear for anyone who asks . Thing is she was disembarking at the Orphanage lugging her two suitcases up the steps unaware what fate has in store for her life and interests soon


Though in the days leading up to her arrival news spread like wildfire in the town of a new orphan coming in and a big strong furball likely was intrigued as its a odd place to send a orphan given the towns placement but as is nothing too strange though the furballs parents was pushing him to get out of the house and local library for a change and maybe meet a girl he'd like

Dunfee, Illinois was pretty accepting of the weird... especially since unlike the mainstream universe this one had a blue and furry Beast almost from the beginning. While some people thought he was kind of weird it was mostly due to his intelligence and such rather than being a blue furball. So Hank was wandering by the Orphanage with some friends when he noticed Jubilee's arrival. "Hey... I'll catch up with you guys later." Hank waved to his friends and jogged over to the new teenager who seems to be new to the town.

"Hey there... let me help you with that." Hank offered as he took Jubilee's bags from her and then offered a warm smile. Hank wasn't much for fashion and was just wearing a pair of khaki cargo shorts, a baggy Dunfee High School jersey, and a pair of simple sandals. Hank realized all of a sudden that he hadn't introduced himself and shoved forward his hand to her. "By the way, I'm Hank. Pleased to meet you." Hank looked up to the Orphanage and looked a bit sad, assuming the worst had happened.

Jubilee smiled at Hank '' Thanks furball'' Jubilee offered in a pleasant playful matter seeing as she hadn't got his name'' I amend that... Thanks Hank names Jubilation but everyone calls me Jubilee'' Jubilee offered though she frowned abit at Hank being sad as she never liked it when people are sad'' Hey don't be a mood killer... Its likely not what you think '' And given Jubilees parents was knocked off and not in a accident that's for sure granted she has been in the system for awhile now and no one has really wanted her for the trouble in general dealing with a now moody teenager let alone someone who is a mutant too.

''So whats to do around this place?'' Jubilee asked while Hank was helping her get things in and when the Matron of the orphanage came to the door, who of course Hank should know do to Dunfee being a small town this being Nancy Drew


''This must be the new arrival from New York'' Of course that likely would spark Hanks interest in general given there was plenty of other orphanages from between New York and Illinois. Its quite possible she was shipped around a lot do to being a trouble child or trying to find a place that would have people interested in a teenager when the truth is much more troublesome''Hank would you be a dear sense you are here and help the girl get set up in a free room and maybe show her around town while I get everything else in order for her?''

"Furball? Cute." Hank chuckled just a bit... this young lady had quite a spark of feisty to her. And Hank couldn't help but kind of admire that about her. Sure if he was older... she likely would have drove him a bit crazy. But with them both the same age it was kind of cute in a way. "Jubilation... your parents were quirky. Sorry... didn't mean to mention the 'P' word." Hank rubbed the back of his head just a bit. "I can see why you like Jubilee better. Though now I'm thinking of cherries jubilee."

Hank smiled a bit though when she did her best to try to cheer him up. "Oh... it's kinda a boring. School, of course. Football, naturally. Oh you mean in general. Well... we have a comic book shop, there's a pretty nice place to swim, movie theater." Hank shrugged his shoulders just a bit and rubbed the back of his head. "Typical small town kinda stuff. Of course the big event is grooming the Beast day." Hank waggled his brows just a bit and then turned when Nancy Drew came out.

"New York? New York." Hank looked lost in thought for a moment. "It's a hell of a town. The Bronx is up, but the Battery's down." Hank harmonizes just a bit and bobs his head in greeting to Nancy Drew. "Good Morning, Mrs. Drew." Hank nods to Ms. Drew and hefts Jubilee's bags and began heading for the Orphanage. "Sure thing Ma'am. It's nice to have some new blood in town. I haven't eaten in weeks." He glances to Jubilee and playfully winks... obvious making a bit of a joke.

''Parentals are wacky in any home and for the record they split home plate before I was born so the name fits''Jubilee offered showing it didn't bother her but the question might arise where she came up with the term parental in reference to parents and why they as she put it split home plate which is likely in reference to her familys country of origin... But the name of hers is a big clue a better future for their family. Not that it totally worked out,but it did at the same time ''Well I'm sweet as a cherry so long as you don't cross me. So for you .. you can call me cherry Jubilee'' That might come off as flirting when its just Jubilee trying to connect with a fellow mutant more then anything.

''Oh Boy the ladies must love you don't they?'' Jubilee wasn't being harsh just saying it without saying it that the comment on the big advent was lame

''What are you a reverse werewolf?'' Jubilee tried joking as herself and Hank was directed to a room to set her things away and up interesting to note might be all the items that's clearly not American likely just giving a air of mystery and exotic to her chances are stuff she keep from her parents ''So Hank any small town bands around here or others gifted in someway?'' Jubilee was trying to make small talk but the last part should be clear she is saying mutant without directly saying it encase Hank doesn't like that term

Beast was kind of amused by Jubilee's spunky nature... as he'd never met someone so out and forward in his life. It was kind of refreshing to meet someone from New York. Especially since he heard a lot of stories about the city and would love to pick her brains. "Me a ladies man? Heh. Not really. The town doesn't have anything against mutants or anything but when you have body hair everywhere it's not everyone's idea of a hot date." Hank chuckles just a bit and rolls his shoulders as he hefted up her bags and began to head into the Orphanage to Jubilee's room.

"Reverse werewolf?" Hank asks with a quirk of his brow at that amusing concept. Hank followed to Jubilee's room... looking around after putting her bags on the bed and sitting down on it. "Nope... just a bit of a weird mutation." Hank doesn't go into too much detail on it but does relax and get comfortable. "There's honestly not all that much to do around here." Hank explains with a light shrug of his shoulder. "Your arrival is news around here after all." Hank chuckles just a little bit and starts trying to peek into her bags that are sitting next to him on the bed.

''Dating a blue-furball sounds interesting and fun in my books...'' Jubilee offered her mind wondering if there is a malt shop around here as she has been shipped around so much she has learned small towns generally have three places for dating uses theater/cinema , malt shop and some family run diner

''I was hoping to keep myself on the downlow kinda a trouble magnet for reasons I'd rather not get into right now.''Jubilee stated hearing she was news to the people already '' So is there a malt shop we can go to after we're done here? If so I'll let you pick my brain in exchange for afew malts''Jubilee was trying to make a deal here to disguise she doesn't want to spend her cash she made till she gets a part-time job in this place and she wants to get to know Hank aswell as him know her.

''Half the stuff I got I'm not sure what it is only that its valuable to me'' Jubilee said when she caught Hanks interest in her stuff most of it is ancestral in nature nothing too valuable just mostly foreign tools,old worn music sheets ,books and the like in the bag Hank has looked in but everything is written in Chinese''Oh and I was from Beverly Hills California, New York was my last and longest resistances sense I have been moved around''

Beast blushed hotly at Jubilee's comment that dating a blue furball sounded interesting and fun. Fidgeting a bit sheepishly on her bed as he continued to nosily peek at her various belongings in her bags. "Well... being seen with me is not very stealthy. But it's not going to out you as a mutant. It might out you as a girl into furry boys though." Hank flashed her a playful smile as he leaned back and put his hands behind his head. "Well... Malt Shops are more 50's. But we do have a diner."

"Sorry... I'm often too nosy for my own good. Just ask my mother on that one." Hank chuckled just a bit as he tossed Jubilee a playful wink. "What... no sailor moon costume? I thought you were a mutant after all." Hank joked in regard to her various items packed into her bags. "Though that's more Japanese isn't it? I'm not really very well versed on my Asian culture." Hank noted with a sheepish smile followed by a wink. "Oh, California? Well... you're really slumming it in Dunfee, Illinois."

''Who said I was a mutant?'' Jubilee was abit defensive there which is understandable as if she is she is used to seeing the bigotry and likely knows it is wiser to hide it till she knows who to trust in a new place as she shook her head there'' Never mind but I don't mind furry boys they are cute and I seem to have a thing for feral or bestial/furry people anyway'' Jubilee offered as shew thought on the matter'' Well a lot of the small towns I've been to have one so whatever afew malts,shakes or just a meal that's got a rather unhealthy drink I'm in''

''Oh you can tell its Chinese? Everyone seems to assume its Japanese stuff''Jubilee perked up clearly at Hank able to tell that then again she is Chinese so that's a big thing to get her excited for someone able to tell that who isn't Chinese''Well I am into anime granted the good stuff is hard to get your hands on given most doesn't make it over here ''Jubilee offered on the joke and matter of Sailor moon coming from the Japanese


''Well most everything is put up.. So lets head to that diner ,we footing it or do you have a car?'' Jubilee questioned unaware if Hank does but she doesn't care either way as she grabbed one of the few American things she has a pair of rollerskates planning to slip them on once at the door if they have to foot it to the diner

"Sorry... I'm pretty perceptive about stuff like that. I guess I read between the lines about you." Hank explains as he leans back on the bed just a bit and strokes his chin. "Don't worry... your secret, if you have one, is safe with me." Hank offered her a light wink and a playful smile. "Well, seems it's my lucky day to be a hirsute fellow for once." Hank rolls his shoulders just a bit and yawns. "I hope you're not bored in this town... it's not exactly a mecca of excitement or anything." Hank shrugs a bit.

"I'm a bit of a book worm myself... not literally of course. So I try to educate myself... even if it's about Chines and Japanese culture. Quite a big fan of Case Closed, if you're talking about anime though." Hank chuckles just a bit. "It can be hard... unless you know the right people to talk to." Hank winks playfully to Jubilee. "You know you'd look rather cute in a Fuku." Hank notes as he rubs the back of his head, getting up when she makes it clear she wants to hit the dinner and moves to follow. "Footing it I suppose."
