She stared at the email from a long-dead account. It was an email from a long-dead woman. Her mother, Ana Amari, was alive. It was hard news and Fareeha didn’t know how to take it.

After contemplating it for awhile Fareeha decided to pack a small bag and head down to the cafe. She didn’t know what to expect from a woman who she thought was dead.

Ana was waiting at the small cafe. Two cups of tea on the table. Of course, Ana had other intentions of this meeting. She wanted to try and make up for lost time with her daughter, she was never the best mother and she knew that. So, she had a plan, she had a nice little villa set up on the coast with everything she would need to help take care of Fareeha. of course, the tea had a bit of something to help Fareeha agree with her suggestions

Fareeha hadn't seen her mother in years but she knew exactly who the woman was sitting there at the cafe with two cups of tea. She took a deep breath to steady herself and her emotions before walking up to the woman. "Ana?" She asked, using Ana's full name because she didn't want to be wrong and have to explain to a stranger why she called her "mom".

Fareeha was stunned and in shock as Ana hugged her. It was real. All of this was actually happening. Her mother was in front of her and not dead like she had thought. "Mother..." She stammered, still shocked as she took a seat.

Fareeha straightened in agitation. "That's all you have to say? "I'm sorry"? What about all the soccer games you missed? And the birthdays, holidays? I spent how many Mother's Day's at your grave!" Fareeha yelled that last part, causing other people in the cafe to look at both of them, confused. Fareeha clenched her fists trying to bite back her rage.
