Phoenix Wright was pissed. Edgeworth had acted like a child, running away from all his problems by faking his own death and leaving everyone alone. Now that the man had returned, he wasn’t even talking to him, nor was he apologizing for his foolish stunt. He wanted to punish the man, for making him go sick with worry and grief; he couldn’t focus on anything else all day as he made his way to the man’s office.

He entered without knocking, and strode over to his desk. “Miles. Gregory. Edgeworth.” He snarled out his full name, so Edgeworth knew he was being serious. The black-haired man slammed the door behind him, and grabbed him by the cravat tightly, yanking him out of his seat. “Why, exactly, did you leave without telling anyone? Why did you let everyone think you were dead?! Your own sister went to your goddamn funeral, everybody did. She thought-we all thought-that you’d killed yourself!”

Phoenix tightened his grip on his cravat. “Do you have any idea at all how worried we were? You might be mature sometimes, but this time you completely blew it, and unlike some people, I am not about to let that slide." He held the man on his feet, but refused to properly release him. Instead, he sat down in his chair and pat his lap after letting go of the cravat.

"Lie down in my lap. Now, or I'll add more to your punishment."

Edgeworth was in his office sitting at his desk, working on some paperwork. Not expecting anyone except maybe Gumshoe to bother him and his work, and was unaware that Phoenix Wright was making his way to Edgeworth’s office as he sat there working. Edgeworth having no idea that Wright was planning on punishing him for his actions.

When he heard his office door open and slammed closed Edgeworth looked up. He’d expected it to be Gumshoe barging in excited about something or having something for him, so he was surprised to see instead an angry Phoenix Wright marching over to him, snarling his full name. “What on earth are you doing Wr-” He was interrupted by Wright grabbing his cravat and pulling him out of his seat and yell at him.

“It’s not my fault you all assumed the worst from my note, though I’m sure I didn’t help matters by having Gumshoe keep quiet about the whole situation. I needed to find out what being a prosecutor truly meant, and to do that I needed to leave the old me behind.” Edgeworth responded as he looked Wright in the eyes.

“And what on earth do you mean punishment? Get out of my chair and leave my office Wright, I have no time for whatever game you’re trying to play here.”

Phoenix refused to release him; instead, he pulled the man over his lap. "I'm not going anywhere, Edgeworth. From now on, I'm the one giving orders around here, understand me? When I told you to get in my lap, I meant it." He pulled his slacks and underwear down, rolling them off the man completely and tossing them to the floor. "For talking back to me, I'll be adding more on to your punishment. You think you can just push the blame on us? That isn't exactly mature."

Phoenix took a breath, holding him in place with his arm before continuing on, "Now, I'm going to start off your punishment with a spanking, and I expect you to not say anything about being a big boy; as far as I'm concerned, you're a baby until I damn well decide you aren't." He paused to let that news sink in, and lifted up his hand, preparing to spank his naked bottom.

"You're going to start apologizing to me like a good baby, and you're going to do it so I can hear you, Edgeworth. If you try pulling rank or commanding me to leave, I'm going to make you a very, very sorry little man. Don't try getting detective Gumshoe to help you; I've already told him what I'm going to do to you, and he won't be interfering unless he's going to babysit. Even Franciska gave me the okay for this, so if you go her she won't help you, either." With that, Phoenix began raining down sharp blows to his bottom until it was nice and red, even spanking his thighs until they were of the same color.

Edgeworth scowled at Wright when he didn’t move from the chair, he had been about to reach for the phone to call someone to come escort Wright out when he was instead pulled over Wright’s lap instead. His face turned to that of surprise and confusion when he was suddenly no longer standing upright, but over the lap of his childhood friend. Edgeworth only became more surprised and confused when he felt his pants and underwear be pulled off. “What the bloody hell do you think you’re doing Wright! You stop this ‘punishment’ nonsense now!” He would call out.

Edgeworth had tried to remove himself from Wright’s lap, but seemed to be overpowered by Wright as he was able to hold him in place. “Excuse me!? Wright have you lost your head?” He asked, then ignoring Wright’s words he continued. “I am indeed not a child Wright! I’m an adult and so are you, so stop this foolishness at once!” He said while Wright had lifted his hand.

“I will be doing no such thing! You will stop this nonse-Argh!” Edgeworth called out, his words interrupted by feeling Wright beginning to spank him. “Wright! St-stop this! There’s no way G-Gumshoe would agree to th-this!” he continued to exclaim between yelps of pain as Wright was spanking him.

Phoenix Wright shook his head with a smile, giving him yet another set of seats to the bottom. “Ah-ah-ah; no cussing, little guy. That naughty language just earned you a longer spanking!” He chastised Edgeworth as though he really were nothing but a fussy baby, patting his head. His yelps were cute, and made him chuckle a bit as he finished up his long spanking.

When the prosecutor in his lap stubbornly declared that Gumshoe would never agree to this, Phoenix got out his phone and played a recording. A voice that was unmistakably Gumshoe’s rang out, “So..yer gonna treat ‘im like a big baby? Well, I’d normally say yer outta yer mind, pal, but after seein’ what happened...I’ll give ya the okay. He..he needs somethin’ to straighten ‘im out, even if it is you, pal. Jus’ don’t parade ‘im around outside, y’hear me?”

With a smug smirk, he closed his phone up and slid it back into his pocket. “That is a message he left after I called him detailing what exactly I have planned for you, baby boy. You’re not getting out of this by telling Gummy, and if you call him...I gave him orders to report to me. If he sees you trying to be a big boy or you call him begging for him to get you out of this when I’m not around, he’ll call me and I’ll give you the worst diaper you’ve had in your entire life.”

He picked the man off his lap, and set him down on the floor. “The door is locked, Miles. You won’t be going anywhere, so don’t try it.” was all he said, getting his supplies ready from the bag he brought along. Phoenix grabbed the man, removed his usual suit jacket, cravat, and the shirt underneath in spite of his probable protests.

Resting Edgeworth down on the changing mat he laid out, he lifted his legs and swiftly powdered and oiled his privates before taping up an incredibly thick diaper with the Steel Samurai printed on it around his waist. He gave his padded butt a pat, smiling a bit. “You try taking this off and you’re in for a very, very sore little bottom, wittle Edgey.” He warned, shoving a bottle of milk he’d brought along into into his mouth and tying a bib around his neck so baby wouldn’t spill too much. “Now lay here and drink your baba like a good baby while Daddy packs everything back up in your diaper bag.”

Upon hearing Gumshoe really had agreed to Wright doing this, Edgeworth was shocked. He wouldn’t of expected anyone to do something like this to him, the thought would have never even crossed his mind that a thing like this would happen to him. Murdered? Sure he could see someone like a previous defendant or a relative of one trying to kill him, but being forced over Wright’s lap, or anyone’s lap for that matter and spanked? Not in a million years would he of expected this to happen, and for Gumshoe or any of his colleagues to go along with it was more surprising, and did Wright just say diaper? “Diaper? Wright what on earth are you talking about!”

Then he was sat on the floor and was about to go for his pants when he was grabbed again and Wright started undressing him. “Wright this is ridiculous! Both of you have gone crazy!” He protested as Wright undressed him.

Before he knew it he was on the changing mat and Wright had powdered and diapered him and shoved the bottle in his mouth. Instead of listening to Wright’s warning and instruction, Edgeworth instead took the bottle out of his mouth and started sitting up. “Alright Wright I get it! I shouldn’t have worried you all so much, now stop this foolishness!”

Phoenix shook his head when little Edgeworth removes the bottle from his mouth and sat up, demanding he “stop this foolishness”. “Is my little Edgey all cranky? I guess you really do need a nap when we get home, huh?” He acted as though he hadn’t even spoken, instead zipping up the diaper bag and putting it over his shoulder before crouching down to look him in the eye. “You think I can’t punish you for acting out? I spanked you earlier, you think I can’t just do it again?”

Phoenix crammed the bottle back into his mouth. “Drink your baba all gone like a good boy, I won’t ask again.” He commanded, picking him up and cradling him in his arms. He gave his diaper a pat as he held the bottle tight, preventing Edgeworth from removing it. “I could just give you suppositories, you know. I have plenty in your diaper bag, and I am completely willing to use them if you continue trying to get out of your punishment. I can always use more than one and make you poop alll day long; would you like that? If Daddy made baby Edgey go poopy in hims didis?”

Phoenix tickled his chin and smirked deviously, cooing, “All babies love sitting in their messies, maybe you could sit in yours for a few hours while Daddy does his work.” He warned the baby in his arms, a sinister look in his eyes. When the baby started drinking, Phoenix lay him over his shoulder and zipped up the diaper bag. “Now say bye-bye, baby. Daddy is taking you home so he can take care of you.”

With that, Phoenix brought the now diapered man into his car and strapped him into his car seat with the bottle in his mouth.

Edgeworth scowled at Wright when he threatened to spank him again. He was about to speak again when the bottle was shove back in his mouth and Wright started talking again and picking him up and held the bottle in his mouth. Edgeworth’s eyes widening in shock when Wright started threatening to use suppositories as punishment, and then threatening to make him sit in his own mess for a long time on top of that. Seeing the sinister look in Wright’s eyes as he gave that warning, Edgeworth was not about to take the risk of being made to mess himself, so he started drinking the bottle. Staying quiet as they made their way to Wright’s car from his office, glad they didn’t seem to run into anyone.

This was not at all how Edgeworth pictured his day going, but here he was, diapered with a bottle in his mouth and being strapped into a car seat. He dared not spit the bottle out as he kept drinking it, preferring that over possibly being given suppositories if he didn’t.

Phoenix felt strangely satisfied after seeing the diapered prosecutor start to drink from the bottle. It was actually pretty adorable, seeing Edgeworth suck on a baby bottle in nothing but a diaper while securely strapped into the backseat of his car. He smiled to himself as he made his way home, to the Wright Anything Agency's headquarters. He stopped the car, and smiled, unbuckling the man from the carseat and picking him up. "Good baby; did wittle Edgey dwink all hims baba for Daddy?" Phoenix cooed as though he couldn't understand, taking the bottle from his mouth.

He put the bottle away, adjusting his grip on the oversized baby so he was resting on his hip. Phoenix carried the diapered man into the building and sat on the couch with him in his lap. "I have a few ground rules for you, and I expect you to follow them. You will call me Daddy and nothing else. If you want something, you cry or babble until I come get you. If I hear you try leaving or I see you've removed your diaper, I'll make good on my promise to give you suppositories and then lock you in the diaper. You can speak for now, but no big-boy words or Daddy will spank you. You can crawl, but no walking; you're just a little baby."

As Wright drove, Edgeworth kept the bottle in his mouth, drinking it as they went. If he hadn’t been wearing only a diaper he would have considered unbuckling himself and making a run for it, away from whatever Wright was trying to pull here, go talk some sense into Gumshoe, and possibly get a restraining order against Wright for doing this. But alas, he didn’t have any clothes and he was not about be seen like this, he’d have to wait for a better opportunity. By the time the car had stopped outside Wright’s building, Edgeworth had drank all of the contents of the bottle, scowling at Wright as he was picked up and cooed at. “Don’t talk to me like that Wright, it’s ridiculous.”

Edgeworth was very tempted to fight against Wright when he started carrying him into the building, but where would he go dressed in only a diaper, he didn’t have his phone on him to call Gumshoe to yell at him for letting Wright do this, nor could he call anyone else without a phone. Soon Wright and him where in the building and Wright had sat down on the couch with him. Listening as Wright explained the rules, Edgeworth glared some more at him, “Alright Wright, I get it, I worried all of you, and now you’ve had your fun so quit this nonsense, I’m not going to be doing any of that. So now give me some clothes and I’ll be on my way.”
