Babysitting The Beast

Patsy was your average girl more or less growing up till she hit purity and her X-gene activated leading her to have a shapeshifting ability this one ability possibly brought on by her father had wanted a son to teach his trade to as is tradition but as fate would have it his wife after having Patsy couldn't have anymore kids … Thus as if fate would have it during one of her fathers less then calm moments from how the family trade would now die with him... She ended up awakening as a mutant and her power caused her to change into a boy and she was stuck like that for awhile till she figured out how to reverse it … Needless to say school after that was weird as the school system ended up placing her in boy male and female focused sex ed and didn't let her on either sports teams or even cheerleading given her ability … While Gym and P.E was awkward as she would instead of sent to a locker room get sent to a special needs bathroom do to the space so as to change for reasons related to her ability mostly for safety of everyone involved in all these cases .

Regardless she had after Hank McCoy left School at some point she befriended Edna this originally was from helping the elder McCoys with farm work when Hank left during the time he was needed the most... So she ended up getting to know Edna more and more while helping out even sharing recipes of her familys with Edna and using skills her father taught her on this farm.. But as is she has what could be called retarded or slowed aging do to her mutation leading her to still be rather youth looking even though she is about Hanks age . Right now though she was in the store shoping and is soon going to run into Edna with a de-aged Hank McCoy

"Mommmmy! Not here!" Wonderful. There was a whiny toddler in the store. At least it sounded like a toddler. Why do parents always end up bring poorly behaved children to the store. Couldn't they find a sitter? Those thoughts likely were going through a lot of the minds of the shoppers in the store at the moment. Whether Patsy shared those thoughts... that was another question entirely. Especially when it was easy enough to find someone to take care of the kids when you needed to go do something.

"Henry Phillip McCoy... stop your fussing and act your age." The dreaded three word name. Obviously this parent had reached warning level and the next step was likely a spanking or time out depending on the parent. But wait.... that voice sounded awful familiar to Patsy. And Henry Phillip McCoy? That was very very familiar as well. That was the real name of the hometown X-Man who was codenamed 'Beast'. So that had to be Edna McCoy. But the fact that that the voice sounded like a toddler made no sense.

It didn't take long for Patsy to locate the source of confusion... though that didn't help the confusion. As there was Edna with a shopping cart and looking somewhat exhausted down on one knee in the babycare aisle. And standing there looking roughly the same age Hank had been when Patsy first met him in grade school was a blue-furred Babyish Beast. Edna seemed to be trying to undo Hank's rather childish denim 'ABC' overalls and he wasn't very eager to allow her to do so at the moment.

Pasty indeed had a similar thinking progress flow through her head but not because she was annoyed rather because in general toddlers when whiny are after all either grabbing things off the shelves or trying to argue about wanting candy or something else like that... Which often stresses out the parent and causes trouble for those working at a store.

Thought as Patsy followed the source to help aswell as figure out what was going on as sure there has been rumors about X-Men and spin-off teams getting regressed or de-aged regularly flying around the net often times sourced as being from some Superhero … or X-Men only allowed on site that someone hacked into or found a way the right username and password to get in... She like most of the world barely put any stock into these rumors and claims even if the ones mention vanish from the public for awhile ...it can easily be assumed do to the rumor spread and doesn't want joked about in public.

Whatever the truth is she was overly confused about the sight before her '' Edna ? Who's this you got with you? Hes adorable... This little one is a he right? I mean looks can be deceiving. '' Patsy questioned as she walked closer smiling as disarmingly as she can''You know the little one needs bigger diapers right? I know a store better suited for that''

When Patsy got to the babycare aisle Hank was in the middle of swatting away his Mother's hands who was still trying to unfasten his overalls. He looked a bit old to be a toddler but was certainly acting like one and was dressed like one. "Stop it!" Hank whined heavily and ended up getting his hands slapped by Edna. She looked up rather tiredly to Patsy though offered a smile to her.... recognizing her immediately. Hank getting a reprieve from getting his overalls undone as Edna got up from kneeling.

"Hello Patsy... doing some shopping?" She glanced between Henry who now was trying to hide behind her and Patsy and laughed a bit. "Of course it's a he... do you think a little girl would behave so poorly in the store?" She gave Patsy a hug and tugged Hank back into view with a swat to his crinkly rump. "Manners, Henry." That confirmed again what Patsy had heard that this seemed to be her childhood friend Henry. Hank finger waggled shyly, rather embarrassed about his current age and attire.

"Hello Patsy..." Hank shyly offered as Edna shook her head just a little bit. "Don't mind him... he's acting like a /Baby/. I should have left him with Norton for a nap... but he's so much more a handful now than before." She looked down at Hank and then back to Patsy. "Bigger diapers would probably be a good idea. He fits into the bigger pull-ups but those are more for bigger boys who are actually /Potty Training/." Suggesting that Hank was both wetting and messing in his current state.

''Of course but then I came across a mother that needs a break... I can handle your little one if you could do a small favor and pick up the few things I came for?'' Patsy offered as she hadn't much to get and it doesn't need bending down.

''Does a Irish like there potato's? ''Patsy questioned in reply back on the little girl comment matter while she laughed at the remark... That question would be a yes given the context here meaning she can see girls acting like that'' And the aswener to that question is yes don't you know on my question … So yes I do after all parents aren't raising little ones so much as tvs ..Smartphones ...games... Babysitters and nursery's are now ''Patsy knows she sounded old there but there is a reason the current youth have been dubbed as the Smartphone generation by some among other things...

''A handful? Nah hes just not used to mummy and daddy's care '' Patsy let slip her way of speaking some Irish still spow like in addressing parents no matter there age as mummy and Daddy... Granted she still accidently uses the term 'fags' for smokes as despite growing up in America most of her life … Her parents still used terms like 'fags' and the like for items and the like that has long sensed stop being used for those thing in the US do to her folks having grown up with those terms pretty much ingrained as meaning those specific things ''I can show you the store if you'd wish?''

"A break would be wonderful... I'm not as young as I used to be. And Henry's much younger than he ever used to be." Edna remarked in regard to Hank, commenting on how he was so much more mature as a child the first time around. Edna gave Henry a slight nudge towards Patsy as she seemed to want to help with him. "Do you have a list? I'd be happy to do so in exchange for some babysitting and that store." Edna breathed a bit of a sigh of relief that Patsy was here and squeezed her shoulder.

"Well... I thought I did a good job with Henry the first time around." She offers with a tsk directed at Henry for how he's been behaving in public. "Well, Henry got raised the old fashioned way. But letting him grow-up too fast and such might have spoiled him a bit." Hank just continued to blush and toe-scuff, as the two adults were talking about him as if he was too young to understand what they were saying. Hank just fussed a bit and started pouting like a boy half his current age. Aka a toddler.

"If you say so Patsy... but honestly he's really just a handful." Edna smiled and looked to Henry and noticed he was starting to chew his thumb and dug out a pacifier for him. "No chewing your claws Henry... or I'll put that medicine on them. Now here... if you need to suck your thumb or chew your claws here's your Paci." She popped it into Hank's mouth much to his embarrassment and he began to suck on it. "Can getting your shopping wait? I'm not sure how long that Pull-up will hold up."

''Yes in general but I'll need the items before the end of today as its near that time of month for me'' Patsy spoke as sure she could avoid that problem all together if she shapeshifted to a guy during this time of month and stay that way she doesn't like taking that route for varies reasons one being how she has heard about one of the most high profile shapeshifts got mental issues from shapeshifting so much over time.

''So lets go before Hank needs to be just in Pull-ups though I'm sure he'd prefer that '' Patsy was referencing How Hank tended to prefer wearing almost nothing whenever he can get away with it '' I'll take you there but I expect to be Hanks babysitter whenever you need a break'' Patsy spoke as Edna and her became close friends despite the age difference... Way closer then Hank and her ever was... Granted she isn't sure Hank even knows she is a shapeshifter... Whatever the case she was sour that Edna hadn't called her for help in caring for Hank as Edna should know that out of all the atleast seemingly none mutants that are old and can still care easily for mutant babys and toddlers Hanks grandmother is such a woman as she is still spier then Edna is despite being older then Edna.

'' And I am disappointed Edna you should know better at your age then to not get help when you need it '' Patsy added as she may not have much a say to bring that up to Edna but she also understands pride.. No matter the case she was being honest and even took a moment to snap a photo of Hank with a pacifier before she starts taking and guiding Hank aswell as Edna out the door to her Van to take the two to this store she mentioned

"Oh dear. We should fetch them quickly then... Henry can wait. In fact all the fussing he did over me trying to check him for the correct size of Pull-Ups... he can wait." Hank grabbed her cart and gestured for Patsy to lead the way. Wanting to be sure that she got her necessities first. "You should have just told me what it was. Hank can stand being soaked or stinky if it happens before we get to the store. In fact... maybe he won't put up a fuss about things if he is." Edna smiled warmly to Patsy.

"You can babysit him whenever you want. At least we won't have to drag him along whining and crying whenever we visit his Grandma." Edna commented as she went about with Patsy gathering her things from the shelves. "Isn't that nice of 'Aunt Patsy' sweetie? Especially how you behaved in front of her." Edna shamed Henry for behaving poorly in the store and in front of Patsy. "This is so nice of you Patsy... I'd have called you and asked for help but I was worried he might be too much trouble."

After gathering the supplies for Patsy... Edna headed to checkout. Commenting on Patsy's picture. "Be sure to send that to me. I can post it on my Facebook." Hank groaned just a bit that his Mom would do that to him. Though as they were going through checkout Hank began to get fussy. And with little warning Hank messed his pull-up.... the seat of his overalls heavily sagging and drawing attention to the babyish boy. "Oh Henry... it's a good thing Aunt Patsy is taking us to get you diapers."

As they got the items for that time of the month including some chocolate as a age old remember to help one feel better during the time period of a woman's problems Patsy noticed Hank seemingly not noticed his own bodily need till it was too late and went in his pull-up she didn't even seem bothered by it … Which should be a sign Hank is in a caregivers well care … Whatever the case is Patsy had gotten a evil grin that shouldn't be possible on a real persons face..But is well documented on cartoon characters ,comic characters and anime aswell as manga characters to varying... Granted it was only for afew moments so any claims can be seen as Hanks imagination going abit while.. When in truth that was Patsys ability slipping abit.

Regardless soon they was driving off abit away from the well known path to a store that's mostly regular looking outside but on the inside it'd reveal products for those who are bigger but not childcare products for one reason or another or just prefers them.. ''Here we are..Mother bears care'' Patsy spoke on the stores name as she started to give a unofficial tour of the store more from going her regular enough for the fact her ability sometimes acts up and other times supplies for those she cares for.

Beast did notice afterward messing himself... though Edna didn't have anything to change him into since she had been trying to figure out what size pull-up he needed. "See what happens when you don't let Mommy check you, Henry." She cooed a bit... seemingly happy as poor Hank had to mushy waddle now until they could get him changed. He would learn in time to behave himself... and accept his status. Since Edna wasn't going to be in a rush to get her adult son back anytime soon.

Hank swallowed a bit nervously as he caught a glimpse from Patsy, one that suggested that he was either imagining things or she had plans for him. Though Hank didn't manage to get Edna's attention quick enough for her to catch it. "Mommy... I wanna go home." Though this soft spoken demand fell upon deaf ears for the moment. Especially once they got to the store and Patsy lead them inside. "Oh my...." Edna uttered as she was rather surprised by everything here. "This is wonderful."

Edna gave Henry's hair a light petting and smiled to both of them. "I don't even know where to start first. Though Henry will certainly need a nursery again." Edna seemed thrilled at all of this and smiled even more when Hank began fussing and whining. "What do you think Patsy? You might need one too... if you have a spare room for Baby." She cooed warmly again to Henry. "Why don't you get some diapers and get Henry changed while I start shopping?" She asked of Patsy with a warm smile.
