Steven Universe: Back to Basics (private with Granola)

Steven Quartz Universe had finally returned home to Beach City with a new mindset for his life. After the events of future, and traveling the country for some time, Steven wanted nothing more than to go back to the good old days with the Gems. The good old days involved onesies, pacifiers, bottles, and of course diapers. He missed being treated like a baby by the gems. Once he walked through the door of his house he smiled wide and put his arms out. "I'm home!" He exclaimed loudly.

[Granola]

The only gem that was residing in the living room at the time was Pearl. While she was doing some laundry she caught Steven in her peripheral vision. "Steven!" She exclaimed happily as she grabbed him in a hug, they were not expecting him to return so soon. "You didn't tell us you would be visiting! What brings you home so soon? are you doing alright?"

Steven chuckled and hugged Pearl back, savoring her motherly tone and touch. "Well..its not easy to say why...or explain it either." He said. "But i want the others to be here when i tell you guys my reason for returning." He added. After that Steven got settled into his old room, and helped Pearl finish the laundry. "Where is Garnet and Amythest?" He asked.

[Granola]

"Whatever reason you have its good to have you back for a bit" Pearl ruffled the boy's hair in a slightly nostalgic fashion "Oh, and thanks for being a good boy and helping out with the laundry." As the two sat down on Stevens's old bed they heard the other gems coming in through the warp pad, they have returned from their classes in little homeworld.

The compliment and the hair ruffle made Steven regress quite a bit. He giggled babyishly with a big smile. "Thaaaaank you!" He said. His eyes lit up once he saw Garnet and Amythest return. The boy squealed and ran up to them, giving both gems a hug. "Ive missed you guys soooo much!" He said.

[Granola]

Pearl didn't notice anything particularly weird with Steven, thinking he was just exited from the long trip. While he ran to the other gems she started to prepare a meal to welcome him back. The two returning gems nearly fell over from the force of the hug and the surprise of it. "Woah Steven! Isn't this a surprise!" Amethyst replied after letting go of the boy. "A surprise for sure, but a welcome one" Garnet added, "I predicted you would come to visit sometime in the future, how long do you plan on staying home Steven?"

"After a long time of thinking..." Steven started. He gently nuzzled Garnet in the hug before looking at all the gems. "I am here to stay!" He shouted with glee. The boy then went to the kitchen to see what Pearl was cooking. "That smells amazing!" He said.

[Granola]

"Staying?" The three of them gasped in unison. "You made such a stink about moving out only to move back in so soon?" Amethyst raised an eyebrow as she sat down at the kitchen table. "Not that it's a bad thing! If you are not ready then you can stay here for as long as you like."

Steven smiled as he joined the others at the table. "I was really wanting to talk to you guys about what i want to do now that im home." He said. The boys cheeks began to turn cherry red as he gulped loudly. "Promise not to judge?" He asked.

[Granola]

"Steven we are your family," Garnet calmly stated as she also grabbed herself a seat, Pearl put the now finished pot roast onto the table "we are not going to judge you regardless of what you do."
