Two piece disposable, compostable, belted diaper has arrived from "Down under"!

A two piece disposable, compostable, belted nappy (Diaper) has arrived from "Down under"! Eenee Products, a manufacturer based in Tasmania, Australia (See -> here) has introduced a two piece disposable belted nappy (Diaper) for babies (See the following product page -> here). A similar product is also available for adults - Read on to find out!

"Compostable" is almost synonymous with “biodegradable”, except it is limited to solid materials and does not refer to liquids which have to be flushed down a toilet or poured into a sewage system (See the following reference article -> here). The diapering system, called the "Eco two part system", works with the company's disposable, compostable "uPad" (See -> here) combined with the company's washable, reusable "Eenee Nappy Belt" (See -> here).

The diapering system can be worn almost like a thong diaper (See the following -> here) or worn almost like a regular, hourglass shaped diaper, depending upon how little or much the pad width is adjusted, fastened on the back [or front] of a belt (See the Video demonstration on how to use Eenee Compostables uPads with [Earlier version] an Eenee Nappy Belt fastened on the back of a toddler girl [Warning: Flashing tushie alert!] -> here).

The two piece disposable, compostable, belted uPad nappy (Diaper) has become very popular in Australia, allowing the company to expand and market a similar disposable, compostable pad product for adults called "Eenee Ultimates" (See -> here). The "Eenee Ultimates" are designed to be worn with either Eenee Products' "Pull-Up Gripper Pants" (See -> here) or "Eenee Undies" (See -> here) but any creative diaper wearer can emulate the "Belted nappy (Diaper)" look, feel and functionality by using an adult fabric belt with velcro (See belts offered by Happysew -> here). Huh, neat. If I ever decide to go diapered 24/7 I'll consider that. It's more environmentally friendly than regular disposables.

Now that more locales are enacting eco-conscious laws (e.g. - Some states in the US have legally banned retailers from giving out "Single-use" plastic bags to their customers due to that type of plastic bags' impact upon the environment [e.g. - Overfilled landfills]), perhaps regular, disposable diapers will eventually have to give way to disposable, compostable diapers and/or cloth diapers whether by the majority of consumers' choice or by mandatory, enacted, eco-conscious legislation. Some baby diaper manufacturers (Like Proctor & Gamble, the makers of "Pampers") have been looking into making their diapers more environmentally friendly (See the following article about P&G's efforts -> here. They still have a long way to go though before they can produce a near 100% biodegradable disposable diaper but they're trying). For better (Perhaps for the future of Mother Earth) or for worse (Maybe no more crinkly sounding adult/ABDL diapers), the times are changing.

Note: I've updated post #1 with a screenshot of all of the available colors for the adult velcro belt. An off-white color (Not pictured in the screenshot of the adult velcro belts) which is similar to the white color of the current model "Eenee Nappy Belt", is available!

"Maybe no more crinkly sounding adult/ABDL diapers"!?! I'll bet that a lot of ABDLs would not be happy about this as that is one of the features that they would possibly look for in an adult/ABDL diaper!



What if a potential customer doesn't live in Australia? Does Eenee ship outside of Australia?

I agree. For ARDLs and some ABDLs, this would be important.

Agreed. The "Crinkle" feature is important to some diaper wearers (See -> here). To others, it might not matter as much. It depends upon what kind of diapers you wore when you were a real baby (Those wearing them before 2000 would likely want to replicate the crinkly sound of the diapers that they wore back then). Eenees have a soft, cloth-like (No crinkle) backing so, that is one factor to consider for those whom the crinkle feature is important. Perhaps a sheet of crinkly, semi-hard plastic (e.g. - A soft plastic mailer bag, see -> here) could be added inside near the outer layer of a given diaper to simulate the crinkly sound.
