Thread needs moderator approval?

Hello, I'm fairly new to the site- still on probationary status- and I noticed that when I attempted to start a thread in the roleplaying forum, I got an error message saying that a moderator would have to approve the thread before it can be posted. Am I encountering some sort of error, or is this due to my probationary status?

sadly due to there being bots and spammers out there limitations had to be introduced to keep users safe from malicious links and scams, we hate that this impacts legitimate users but compared to the amount of spam the site could get hit with, its a small price to pay to protect users here and on our sister sites.

just checked and approved posts etc, also caught several spam posts trying to advertise viagra.. lve always wondered though why its always viagra and other associated meds being spammed on the forum and when l look at the spam we get on the sites support emails its more breast enhancement related..
